Title: Canadianbitcoins.com funds not appearing. Need advice! Post by: greenbong on October 23, 2012, 12:06:43 AM Hey guys,
Just looking for some help with this issue I have. First time buying from canadianbitcoins.com and I don't want to form a bad opinion because their service seems great and the reviews are pretty good. So, I had submitted a request for a certain amount of bitcoins on this past Saturday. I followed all of the steps correctly (checked multiple times before and 100 times after) and decided to make my deposit to the account on the same day, Saturday. The TD bank that I went to to do a Cash Transfer was open on Saturday, obviously. I am thinking that this may be the issue? I understand that they have to process each transaction manually between Mon-Fri 9am - 6pm, but I don't see how a transfer can go unnoticed for a full day. I did the same, actually... made a buy order on Saturday, received my coins before noon on Monday. With TD, any transfers initiated after close of business on Friday are not processed until Monday morning, and CBTC won't deliver your bitcoins until they verify the bank transfer.
I've now done...5? transactions with them for a total of around 12BTC, never had a worry or an issue. As you said, good reviews, good rep, they actually have a bricks'n'mortar address in Ottawa, phone numbers, and they respond to email requests (usually) fairly quickly. As someone else already mentioned, sometimes payments made over the weekend dont appear in our bank account until monday morning, so thats the earliest anyone should expect to receive coins for orders placed over the weekend. _sometimes_ the deposits do appear sooner, and _sometimes_ (if someone is around) we process orders over the weekend, but it shouldnt be expected or relied on... we're a real business, in a real office, that holds regular offices hours.. mon-fri 9-6 there's usually someone in the office.
