It would tend to decrease the activity of the forum but spam would be reduced atleast. However, I don't want it to become a "Popular" kinda trend where users start asking people to like their post.

Basically, you need a starting of 15 "reputation" before you can start upvoting , after 50 reputation you can start downvoting as well. I wasn't very much in favor of the whole "rank limit" suggestion if this was included in the new forum, because rank really doesn't mean anything. A points system, though, would make it so that it wouldn't be so abusable. I guess both can be abused. but why should we create a new feature for something that can be done with an already existing feature? in short: I don't think the reputation system is needed. that is unless it have other benefits. |
