There are errors in your hardcore quiz, which was very unclear at times.

What is the maximum number of block reward reductions allowed in the Bitcoin Protocol?
64
According to this, it is 32 (if you exclude the first ERA). (https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Controlled_supply)

Not that hard if you ask me.

yep we were wondering about that  - someone else raised the same issue

Yea that one is wrong. If there was 64 halvings that would mean that last coin would not be mined until 2265 AD.

Approx 4 years for each reduction

64:  64*4 = 256 years
32:  32*4 = 128 years

yep it seems that in the code the number of halvings is limited to 64... https://books.google.co.uk/books?id=IXmrBQAAQBAJ&pg=PA186&lpg=PA186&dq=number+of+bitcoin+block+reward+halvings+allowed&source=bl&ots=9AbXktKqPS&sig=WF2PvmjlteS8s6BBiZAuLyCq3xg&hl=en&sa=X&ved=0CEMQ6AEwBWoVChMIsoy21KLLyAIVil4UCh3qBQ5y#v=onepage&q=number%20of%20bitcoin%20block%20reward%20halvings%20allowed&f=false

Actually, in reality the number of halvings will be 32. After 32 halvings, the block reward is zero. The code putting the 64 halvings there is a safeguard because due to some odd behavior of c++, after 64 halvings, the whole block reward cycle would repeat itself. You can read about this in BIP42 (https://github.com/bitcoin/bips/blob/master/bip-0042.mediawiki) and the discussion about it in the related Pull Request (https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/pull/3842)

Hah, I got 94% in that quiz. I played the quiz on mobile and I must say that it isn't that much pleasing on mobile devices especially in opera browser. :( But overall, I enjoyed it. Hope it will be mobile-friendly too!

Thanks for the point out on opera browser. Should be good on other mobile devices - we'll get that sorted...

I'm wondering why is there a question related to Litecoin (scrypt) in 'Bitcoin Hardcore'? That one came as a surprise to me as it is not directly related to Bitcoin. I forgot to mention this after doing the test.

thats a fair point - I guess we were seeing if people get confused between the two and understand the differences
