Title: [WTS] 3 Gigabyte HD 5870's (Reduced)
Post by: BitcoinPappi on November 06, 2012, 04:00:41 AM
HI Guys,

Sold my previous rig on the forums. Now selling 3 Gigabyte HD 5870's from another rig. I am able to get  at stock about 380 mh/s, when i simple increase the clocks via aticonfig i easily get up to 440 mh/s .

I am looking for $100  SH (or BTC equivalent)
https://i.imgur.com/b4vtCl.jpg

Selling these cards since the increase in difficulty rating and the current returns when taking in the cost for electricity is not very feasible. Let me know if you have any questions.

Have had two successful transactions on the forums before. The most recent can be seen here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=105538.0

I'd go $85 shipped on each card in BTC.
Escrow thru Graet.
I'm assuming all the fans are good and cards are not overheating in any way and are able to mine at stock speeds.

Yup these are all good. Saved them for last. However I cannot accept $85 shipped. You are getting well over 1000mh/s . Thanks for your interest

I'd really be surprised if you get more than $85 on each board this late in the game.  If we were talking about 6-8 weeks ago, your price would have been a bit closer to reality.  In about 4 weeks, $1000 will avail a miner of approximately 50GH/s of mining power. GPUs will be worthless with regards to bitcoin mining.  Gaming is another matter, but gamers would consider these 2 generations behind current, so again, not a really big market.

Good luck with your sale, and if you are interested in selling, shoot me a pm.

No problem. Dont worry about me selling them not in rush to get the money. If I dont get a reasonable offer then I am happy keeping them or going through the extra trouble selling them on Ebay.

And I know these are worth more than $85 despite market conditions.

Have not shipped stuff outside of the UK before. But just checked the rates on UPS site, seem too expensive :(.  Do you know have a good alternative for shipping to UK from US ?

If not guess I would have missed  a potential buyer

I just use my post office, fed x, or parcel force and work between them as rates can be little different between them. But never had the problems. Define too expensive as USD to the GBP is not much for me so maybe still buy but would depend on the actual postage price.

I will have to check what usps rate is. UPS gave me a quote of $100 plus.  Over $100 for shipping is too expensive, that would be a total lost on my end. Will see what usps says

Same when it comes to sending from Canada to the USA via UPS/Fedex.

For me to send a 35pound box to the USA from Canada was well over $100. My wife drove it to detroit to send it USA to USA... Cost was under $30 after taxes.

taxes should of sent as gift on what ever sent would worked out a lot cheaper. If can arrange to work and get it shipped as a gift then price is a little cheaper and you don't have to pay stupid  postage tax on it.

I really would like these cards but if shipping is going to cost over $100 that would be like buying the cards 2x over.

Question is that $100 for each card or for both of them to be sent combined packaging?

Ebay licks asshole... Just had a buyer dispute an fpga after three weeks of mining on it... (Item wasn't as described/damaged in shipping... yeah right)

Now I have to take back the item. Give him a full refund and because I tried to escalate the case it will affect my reputation/feedback (also keep in mind I said no returns or exchanges but because the buyer is lieing and saying it was damaged in shipping I still have to take it back).

Anyways, I'll stop ranting, just wanted to mention that USPS medium flatrate international box is $32 shipped. You could fit 2 5870s in one easy.

Yep,  I hear you.  This is the single biggest problem I have with selling stuff on eBay.  There is no more protection for the seller. Any slightest question brought by the buyer will ensure that the buyer gets his money back and you are out your cost of shipping. I have never had eBay or PayPal side with me as a seller, even when I was 110% right.

Cranky?

Sounds like you are pissed I'm bumping your post  ;D P.S.  I'd recommend anyone buying from BitcoinPappi make sure they use escrow.  A couple cards he sold me had flaky fans.  One fan was dead and he refused to acknowledge, then got pissy with me when I asked him to reimburse me for the fan (I'd handle the installation). Please do.

abracadabra  is a ungratefully little troll. I gave him one card completely free. Lets have our escrow talk about that, he was not even aware I was sending an extra card. You would think that someone would be grateful when they opened the box and say 4 cards

He both 3 cards. Got 4 cards in the mail and want to kill me for a fan that works or barely needs a little cleaning. You payed for 3. Got 3 working cards and an extra with a very minor fan problem.

I then told him to send the entire 4 cards back I would refund him fully. He then decided not to...I wonder why because he knew he got a good deal. But i wont waste my good will on individuals like you

I must be missing something :s. Read before that you own a business , man you must be robbing your customers blind.

I am done responding to your comments.

PS. He has been bothering me about other cards I have to sell but i refuse to sell to him.
