Title: Vladimir resigns from Bitcoin Magazine
Post by: Vladimir on November 12, 2012, 02:19:07 PM
This is a public notice that I have resigned from all my roles in Bitcoin Magazine today and from position of a Director of Bittalk Media Ltd.  I am not participating anymore in any capacity in this project with possible exception of very limited tasks related exclusively to transfer of numerous duties and tasks I have been routinely doing for the company. All my further participation in Bitcoin Magazine would only happen on very specific instructions of Bitcoin Magazine management.

I have resigned because I would like to pursue other opportunities, spend more time with my family and because at this point I believe the company and its shareholders would be better off without my presence on the board of directors.

Should you have any questions, please address them to now sole Director of Bittalk Media Ltd and Editor In Chief of Bitcoin Magazine Mihai Alisie. mihai@bitcoinmagazine.com

Seriously, I wasn't serious, but you have definitely made it clear that you won't be discussing this issue on this forum. Admirable!

Later, bud.

So will the mag get released faster or slower with your departure?

Exactly. It's not. Mihai may not be prominent on the forums, but he has been in fact the most important person in the magazine's production all the way from when the idea was first conceived last September, and I trust him in this business both in integrity and in competence completely. We have a strong team onboard with prominent members of the Bitcoin community participating, so the magazine will only get stronger.

I met Mihai at the London Conference and I can say that he seems like a very solid guy. It's sad to see Vladimir quit but I don't think this necessarily means the end of the mag. Mihai is the main guy behind the magazine anyway so it's honestly not THAT big of a deal.

11 posts?  there must be a sock used.  you can't be an effective editor in chief without participating where most of the communication happens.

Why a modern digital commodity is written about in a near dead medium instead of online is beyond me anyway.

When was the last  time any of you actually bought a magazine ? for me it was PC Power Play 1998.

For me it was and is Bitcoin Magazine. Issue #3 was the best of the first three for sure so there has been improvement as well. My bulk order of #4 is on its way and I'm looking forward to reading and selling it.

Vladimir, good luck on whatever you do for the coming time.

When I first came here I didn't like you much, then as time went by I realized that you had the head on more right than most people.

I bought some fashion mag last year because it had von Teese on the cover.
