Title: Bitcoin Black Friday 2015
Post by: pawel7777 on November 10, 2015, 11:14:23 AM
Didn't see anyone posting about BBF 2015 yet (November 27th), so here it is:

http://bitcoinblackfriday.info/ Edit: this one is the original BBF website: http://bitcoinblackfriday.com/

For now you can only submit your email address to get the updates. As per schedule, you'll get info about the early offers on 20th, then 2nd wave on 25th and the last wave of pre-offers on 26th.

Full list of participating businesses will be published on BBF day (27th).

Last year I bought Torguard for a year for half the price. I hope, they have the same offer again

This will be a good chance to get hardware wallets guys! I know that Trezor guys were giving big discount last year. This is something worth thinking about!

Nope, it's way too soon. Unless merchants themselves announce their offers earlier, we have to wait till 20th, that's still better than last year.

I will try to get myself some great hosting deals from namecheap for just $0.99 assuming they will do the same as previous year. Their site most likely will be bombed with huge loads of traffic as people want to get the best $0.99 deals.

Most of the miners and VPN sites tell about their sales, and ofcourse all sites accepting bitcoins also automatically have sales. Is there any bitcoin marketplace which had a sale last year ?

Thats the sure shot way of wasting fiat as of now. Already down to 337. Would leikely hit sub 300 again, and just like upwards, once that happens, it could quickly spiral down after that.

Bitcoin comparison to Wall Street is not good. That's what we want to get away from it! Comparing the BTC to the financial markets will always be bad - it works and to always will work differently!

Considering that I never heard about this service before and many of you haven't as well. I guess there will be more and more people interested each year.
If offers will be even halfway decent I think this will even will be a major hit. Looking forward to it.

That doesn't even make sense in this context.

To others, is there a reason to expect something from bitcoin this blackfriday ? Specially when its only considered as an alternate method to money ?

Not like gold has a separate blackfriday for it.

That's what I was thinking of too. Looking at recent events in the last 48h I think most are re-evaluating their bitcoin black friday lists of purchasing now.

This is what was reported last year. 2014 :
https://blog.bitpay.com/bitcoin-black-friday-2014-recap/

~ 82% increase in the number of merchants who completed transactions compared to 2013.
~ Gyft and NewEgg experienced their best day of bitcoin sales ever.
~ Other merchants with notable volume on Black Friday include: TigerDirect, Adafruit and Namecheap.

Let's make 2015 a even bigger event and show other merchants out there, who has not adopted Bitcoin, what they are missing out on.

I'm actually incredibly impressed at how well Bitcoin payment processors did at getting merchants on-board. The issue is that there aren't enough consumers to go around. Consumer growth is slow, steady, and takes time. ;)

I am very excited for this year Black Friday (and Cyber Monday). Subscribed to the newsletter and I hope to receive some good deals. Hopefully there is cheap but powerful graphic card (what I am looking for days).

Edited the OP, I was sure that it's the same project as in the past years, but the original BBF is this one:

I am looking forward to this black Friday and to see how many and what merchants are on board ax over this year it seems that there had been a lot of adoption by merchants.

I was very happy to catch this year's "Black Friday". ( last year I missed it ) I signed up for the newsletter and hope to get some good suggestions on a cheap laptop for my wife, she actually has a birthday soon. To buy a gift is not expensive - always a pleasure. I hope that I will save money for a dozen beer ... ;)

Thats probably the only offer that would be worth looking into. Last year the offer was really convenient for a lot of people to buy a hardware wallet. However I think they sold multiple at a discount. So GB would be needed.
