Common Risks: Getting viruses and malware by surfing many sites

Requirements: English language, possibly other languages
Common Risks: Getting banned from the forum by posting 1 liner post spam or not getting paid ,  Copyright problems

Requirements: Advanced PC knowledge, a starting capital to buy mining equipment, and knowledge about cryptocurrencies in general
Common Risks: Scammy mining pool, your mining equipment malfunctions, or you are just not efficient with mining and will lose money

a) Bitcoin Mining: Mining bitcoin via a bitcoin pool
b) Altcoin Mining: Mining altcoin via solo or via a pool



4❱ Services
Requirements: Some kind of advanced skills in a particular area so that you can give your services for sale
Common Risks: Getting scammed, Project dies

a) Escrow: You need a senior account with good reputation, and can be an escrow and earn bitcoin
b) Programmer: Sell your programming skills for bitcoin
c) Marketing: Help somebody promote his stuff, and get paid in bitcoin
d) Advisor: Offer your advising skills to somebody and earn bitcoin
e) Community organizer: Join a project and become a community organizer, the owner will pay you for doing it well

Common Risks: You can lose your invested money, Beware of Ponzi schemes

Requirements: Some basic capital to loan out
Common Risks: Tons of loan scammers so beware, you might lose your capital depending on how much collateral you have as insurance

a) Collateral loan: You take a collateral for the loan, and offer lower interest to the borrower
b) Non-collateral loan: Very risky, but if successful, you can charge higher interest rate from the borrower



9❱ Gambling
Requirements: Big luck, but it's doable or some skill
Common Risks: You can lose your wagered money

a) Luck based gambling games: It is possible to win the jackpot in bitcoin, which are usually over 100,000$ worth in bitcoin
b) Skill based games: Poker, Sportsbetting, etc.. these require some skills and you can earn bitcoin this way

Heh.  I expected this to be a shitty post but its actually pretty accurate.

I had to do it, so many spam threads, newbies opening up 100s of threads to ask the same question ,which will then be flooded with spammers repeating the same shit.

Here you can find all obvious methods (although there are some secret ones if you dig deeper).


I will work on it tomorrow to be more eye friendly, for this this will do it.

Good thread. Unless I missed it I don't think you covered investing in loans in investment section. Or you can put it under gambling if you feel it carries the same risk. HAHA! Really good thread though for the newbie section. Now maybe we can see a post in this section beside what's the best way to make bitcoin and make it a useful newbie section.

Great Thread. Hope that every newbie will come here and read your thread. But I suggest you to remove the Gambling method, because gambling is not the way to earn (and I think that a great quantity of people think the same).

It is, a highly risky one, but nontheless its possible to win a jackpot, and many people won already.

I think you're characterizing the opportunities in Mining too favorably, optimistically.

Mining is very expensive, takes a lot of time, and doesn't pay much (considering how much investment needs to be made). You could spend a few hundred dollars on a mining machine and wait months (and spend more money in electricity) to get paid very little.

Risk Level:  High
Profit Level: Low
Reliability Level: Medium

Providing services is THE BEST way to earn bitcoin. Signature campaigns pay more than money when you consider the amount of time, energy and investment put into the endeavor.

This thread basically tells us the relationship between risk and reward..... More risk = more reward.

Don't know in what section you would put it, but you can also set up your own referral site for faucets. Something like a rotator or faucet list. That's an easy way to get small amounts of bitcoin. Once you get enough traffic you could post some ads to it as well (Covered in the blogging/writing aspect).

I've seen people say there's not much money in setting up your own faucet, but you could do that as well. It's risky with bots and such, but there has to be some faucets that make money. Weekend faucet seems to be doing pretty well, but they also have a few apps and such.

There's a tutorial here on how to set-up your own rotator (with free hosting and site) and another one on the forum on how to set up your own faucet. Initial investment would be nothing and the amount of gains would probably be small, but for anyone interested in starting there own site or coding it seems like the initial time investment would be worth it.

Right, although i never mined, i did some calculations and showed that with an initial invesment that some of us have, you can barely earn 0.05-0.07 bitcoins daily.

So most of us dont even have that money for equipment to mine a net 0.01 /day.


Although I dont think the risk is high since it's pretty stable, since the difficulty & electricity costs are very predictable, so the risk is not that high.

A big risk would be something totally unexpected like with investing & gambling, but i think mining has much less risk than those.

Yes,: Writing isn't the only 'job' to earn bitcoin. There's lots of odd jobs in the services section of this forums marketplace. Like any other means of distributing bitcoin, these jobs pay very little (in western Europe) but nonetheless can earn you bitcoin.

I did retyping of WWII documents for 60k sat per page for example.

So I'd suggest to change 'Writing' into  "Odd jobs" or something and the categorize work as whole, rather than just writing as work.

OP, you did a fine job with this guide... It would have been cool if they could sticky it in this thread. The endless "How can I earn Bitcoin" threads are getting old quickly.

Sorry but prices and wages are determined by the free market and the supply & demand relationship.

We all want more income for workers but if the market cant provide it, it is not possible. Minimal wages are an illusion can can only be done with printed fiat money.

With real bitcoin money, you need real labour and productivity to earn more!

My biggest suggestion is I would move "8] Lending" to high.   You can see a LOT of people in scam thread who have been burned from loans.

Even sites like BTC Jam that are suppose to help you if the person defaults gives you their info and wishes you luck.  There just is not enough safeguards as most will not have collateral for entire loan or they would not need it.   So I would rank high, but might be just me.

Very interesting tutorial / collection of bitcoin earning methods. I earn most by posting things in my blog and earning from ads. It is a very good alternative for earning some BTC.

Close to that are signature campaigns.

I wrote there that loan without collateral is very risky. Loan with collateral is less risk, only if the collateral suddenly loses value or you lose it, but i guess that is the loaners responsibility to safeguard himself agains those risks.

\Same Here dude. you will get pay for every posting but In bitcoin talk we learn more than earning about all over the world and fully about Bitcoin too. Basically we can save and trade Bitcoin in that you can make some more than this money.

Loans with collateral with a good escrow is the only way to go, everything else is a big gamble, including A+ certified guys in BTCJAM, because they default a lot too.

I agree with notlist3d, Lending is a very risky business because there is nothing you can do when someone defaults on your loan.

Even with their personal information you need lots of paperwork and additional money to try to get your loan back.

Gambling might be high risk, but it's definitely relieable since there are many casinos out there, and it will be a real industry around here.

Every day new casinos come out and the competition is big, so gamblers have a big choice.

Lending seem to be profitable as collateral accounts can be owned and sold for higher amount.
Accounts are easily liquidated as well.

Profits from gambling or investing are basically the same if you have big money already. If you bet or invest 100 BTC the reward will be huge in both cases.
Investing is basically gamble with money but with slightly more information given to you and ability to pull of at first sight of troubles, so it shouldn't be ranks as high risk imo.

I would not gamble, I lost 4 bitcoins when bitcoins doesn't worth anything, but now I recommend everybody absolutely not gamble. My two cents.

No its not. Investing can have a long term profit. Gambling will most likely make you lose in the long term, although you can win big in the short term or win smaller amounts over long term. It's all random anyway.

A very easy way to make some mBTC every day is to go check out bitvest.
They have 2 chatrooms with rainbots that give up to 20K satoshi every few minutes.

Perhaps just clarify at the beginning that there are no specifics in the post and it is up to the reader to do their own research here at bitcointalk or on google or however they prefer to search.  You're only giving them some direction, if they do the work they'll learn far more.

Yes, i think every newbie should spend at least 1-2 weeks using faucets just to try out bitcoin before buying it.

Many newbies lost money before they forgot to backup wallets. Thats why they should try out with small amounts first

Faucets are great if you're experienced, and you can click really really fast :D

There are also new kinds of faucets coming up. Ones that are not based on captcha but based on viewing ads.

Simply called PTC sites, where you are paid to view ads, and they can be more confortable than normal faucets

Yes there are two reasons people are still using faucet earning.

1. Faucet sites are paying you some cents, whereas if you watch a YouTube video or spending your time in social media, you will not earn anything.

2. The Satoshi's we are earning today may not even worth one cent. But if you believe in bitcoin future the bitcoin prices will hit $1 million then one Satoshi will worth one USD also.

And to have something to play when learning the tools. 

The easiest way is still by signature campaign lol. Easy and reliable

It is risky you can lose all your deposit in no time.
But if you like to gamble try small partitions , and stop while you're winning!
Primedice is good for start, create account and try to gamble with 200 sat that is how much you will get from faucet..

Funny cause it can be applied to fiat too in a sense!

Yes you are right.. Searching in google for these stuff is like searching in ocean... There are a lot of scams... I tries many but failed... Then I started seeing reviews and if there are positive reviews then only I start that work...

Search for review sites first, that review bitcoin services, and make sure the review site is legit too, not a shill site.

Or you can always search up the service in the forum and see what others think about it. But remember there are many shills and sockpuppet accounts, so the general rule of thumb is to not read what newbie and jr. member accounts say about a site.

They are a small volume exchange I wouldn't trust with much Bitcoin or altcoins. Mostly used by ICO scammers

iam going with trading and offering service, i think those are good you can activly buy and sell bitcoin on bitcoin exchange it's risky but sometimes it's high return, then offering skill is high paying
but the other way is good to, nice tutorial btw

This is not truth! Maybe ICOs are scams but YOBIT is professional exchange, and working smoothly and flawlessly. Maybe dont have volume as Bitterex but they are still good choise for traders, gamers (loto,dice..),signatures..
I have good experience with them!

I`ve also got scammed by Bitspenders ICO scams @ Yobit, but still it looks like a decent exchange in my opinion, for smaller volume.

If you avoid  the ICO scams, then there are some legit coins there too.

Not all ICOs are scams, but yeah most are.
And I do believe you when the matter involves Bitspender, I watched him manipulating the XDE market when he possessed most of the coins.

I also learned a lot, I think what I wanted to do most is start a small buisness, but right now I don't have the capital neither the idea.

No problem, just hang around bitcoin and you will get the inspiration. Ask around people on the forum, see if they have tips for you.

Capital is hardly needed, with a good idea you will get many investors.

yes we need to make bitcoin very usable and confortable for newbies, so that they can build the foundation for our community.

This tutorial listed stuff I never even thought of on this forum. Personally, I do only signature campaigns because if your posts are spammy or bad, they give you a 7 day ban like I had once. It was a wake up call for me and now I only type really good stuff now. Risk level is very low and reward I think should be high. A high-level member can earn a dollar or three a day maxxing out his signature campaign posts.

Pretty much the best way to earn crypto if you know what you're doing. Nice write up and very informative, wish I had this when I started getting into bitcoins.

You can still learn it and make up for the mistakes you done earlier.

sometimes people have a view point "bitcoin = Ponzi scheme" in my country i found many people buying bitcoin to invest at ponzi, i hope more newbies read this thread and know about Risk Level,Profit Level, & Reliability.

As suggested tutorial has to be developed just to give a overview. In depth description should not be given. If clear description is provided they will not get involved themselves. For everything they expect tutorials.

There are many, the best is signature campaigns on this forum, but for that you will need an account with a higher rank and some experience about bitcoin and other things so you can survive in your campaign from getting kicked or banned for posting spam messages.

If newbies are knowledgeable in the field of programming, it gives them a good earning. It is not hard to get a job from services section. Alternatively they can make a small earning through faucets and learn about bitcoin from their account activities which grows on regular use.

Faucets, captcha solving and gambling were the best methods to earn bitcoin's to the maximum in a time limit.

this is not just for newbies,but some senior member must know about this for explanation to people who want earn bitcoin,and for newbie they will more understand with risk and profit level,this is great initiation.

I think newbies earning coins through signatures might be a bad idea.

yes, it is not very meaningful. if you want to play the signature at least we should have a level member. for a newbie the best way is through the faucet and also by playing gambling. it was a little difficult but it is the best way for a nwebie.

He can buy a higher account, and play signature with that.

He can ROI in a few weeks if the current rates stay.

I think buying accounts is also wrong because it masks your real skill level, member level, and trust level.

Having a newbie account is also can be  frustrating. You have a 360 second cap on posts.

You should definitely go for a least a junior account, but I think a member account is more comfortable.

There are  many better ones such as google drive, dropbox, etc.  But you can possibly profit from choice of site to host file.  You could have posted it on your blog instead of directing to a site that has referrals for upgrades, if you really feel forum does not do it justice.  And then requires no download of your PDF from that hosting site.

We have 20 downloads only so far, which is too small. We need at least 10,000 to have any positive impact on the bitcoin price.

There are many people out there who offer loan even to newbies if they have collateral.
If you have collateral, you have chances of getting loan. But, if you don't, that's when people are afraid to trust newbies.

Prove that you are trustworthy.

Give collateral for the loan, and prove to the lender that you will pay back the loan.

A newbie can be trusted too, but the higher ranks give you privilege and more trust generally speaking.

I dont know, proof of identity would be a good start, it's not a perfect collateral, but atleast it increases your trust level.

You must have some collateral , like any online account, asset , that you dont want to lose. You can pledge that as collateral, and if its important, the lender can see that you rather pay back the loan than to lose the collateral.

So start from that logic.

For example: Personal Facebook Account, Some established account in an online video game, Other cryptocurrency, etc... are good collaterals

I personally would not loan with identity as collateral.  But some do use that in part for a loan, BTCJam is a big example of people confirming things about themself for a loan (I am not pushing for this site I hate their policy of not helping with default of loans, they just give you the persons info).

Most will want altcoins or something. But someone might give based on identity if very small amount, I would not but some might.

It sadly is not look up the site BTCJam.   People loan money to others and a big part is identity, I don't visit it often as... I think it's a good way to loose money.  But the more info you add the higher score you have (in part).  You can see a entire site built on it. 

But I think less and less use it as if someone defaults you get all the persons info... but in many cases that does not mean you get the investment back.  So yes there is a real example of it above... why people loan on it is greed.  They see high interest percent... but I personally don't touch it as a investment.

Banks and credit institutions loan based on identity + income verification.

However in bitcoin, the problem is not the identity, it's the enforcement of the loan if it goes bad.

Plus I personally believe a non collateral loan is very immoral.

What will loan collectors do, break into the borrowers house and confiscate wealth equal the debt amount? That sound too immoral and violent.

Better just stick to collateral loans. Otherwise we might end up with debt slavery.

And I don't disagree on this I would never loan based on identity, but some do.  I will never understand it and agree if default there is a huge problem.  This is why I urge people to stay away from sites like BTCJam or other BTC loan sites based on idenitnt and number of paid back loans.

If person defaults and all you have is their info... you don't have much to get back.  And some are not enough capital to make a legal case over, and some are international making much harder.   So again person who defaults can possibly never pay back and just have a bad online name.

So I agree don't loan based on identity.  Also I would add I would not loan based on accounts I see this happen but if account is hacked or stolen.... you lose money.  So at end of day be careful with loans.

Loan collectors are basically just legal robbers, and its a pretty immoral business.

So a collateral loan is the only way to go. Collateral held in escrow, and if the lender defaults, he loses it, and suffers no further harm.

I do only 1 and 2 steps. Micro earnings and Signature campaign, best ways to earn little amounts, safe and easy. Trading is very risk, i tried to buy a coin but it didn't work...  :(

Gambling on dice to try the luck and earn some bucks on short term can be good, just need to know when to stop and set a maximum amount to bet.

Gambling is never designed for long term income.

I read through all interesting things on the forum and i have been here for a long time to observe the things that other people do here.

For Newbies, there are very less signature campaigns. You have to wait for Jr Member to get good Sig. Comp.

Now I think only when reach to Member rank you can join a good signature campaign. The campaigns are more demanding and selectives each new day. The Jr. Members are stigmatized as spammers, so this is one of the reasons why some campaigns aren't accepting than anymore (Like Yobit, the easiest campaign to join in my opinion for an example).

More like Full Members, sometimes even the members get low payments.

Fortunately there is a large number  of options to gain some bitcoins, although I am convinced that the best one is undoubtedly to trade bitcoins (especially I like the forex trading, exchanging your currency for bitcoins; fortunately there is an increasing number of brokers accepting bitcoins).

It can be risky too, i specifically not included currency trading there because its not just that its risky because there are many pump and dumps and unexpected movements, but there are many scam brokers too.

So it adds double risk to your business, so I personally would wait with it until more reputable ones come out.

In my opinion, micro earnings does not have to be for just BTC. mTurk pays its workers in cash, and being that mTurk is serviced by Amazon, the only way to really be "scammed" is a requester not accepting your hit, and as long as you follow the safety guidelines set forth by mTurk, you aren't as exposed to viruses, although it can still ostensibly happen, from not paying attention. Besides, the pay is in cents and dollars rather than microchange like satoshi and/or litoshi or even doge..  :D

It's the easiest but it will need time for your account to be updated, it will took before you can join any signature campaign.

I am sorry but I do not agree with the mining idea at this time.  The difficulty is to high and the cost of the electricity is way above what it costs to mine alone, unless you are mining with 100+ machines.  Even then you will not be earning much compared to the market.

There is no way for me to know ahead for sure which sites are good and which are scam.

Each person has to find that out for himself and read this forum for other peoples advice. I just give out general overview info.

I think every lesson which gives authority to earn money can be implement for earning Bitcoins, there is no rocket science behind earning bitcoins.

Here in forum already give various topics about how to earn bitcoins but its all their own mind or strategy, dont think that it will work for you.

You definitely need skills to interact with people and you need to show your ambition for that job.

There are many many cryptocoins and other projects based on them that could use community managers, there could some free spots there for you.

So just search for it and you could find it.

i believe the safest way to go with is with trading, you just need to put your @ss down and read & learn TA and move on, basics is to recognize a pumped price, & never buy shitty alt coins, last but not least dont be greedy !!

Hi, ok, newbie, and I'm sorry for the dumb question i am asking here, but if I even understand any of it, i don't understand how to get load bitcoin to my chosen wallet -- electrom.  i mean i get the rest of the processes in theroy, but simply can't figure out how to get new money into my wallet (electrom desktop windows 10).  i've saved my seed appropriately in a safe place.  i can send and receive bitcoins, ok, i think.  i just dont have any bc in my balance...  please have mercy on me. :P

OP, please do mention in your PDF that how one can get saved from hard pump and dump schemes by not getting into altcoins which are highly hyped about and FUDDing being done by trollers for the same. That's the best way newbies will be able to do safe trading.

There are some trustful PTC sites, but it's very hard to make a decent profit with this kind of site without an army of referrals. The most trustful PTC sites in my opinion don't pay in BTC yet. Sometimes I see some PTCs paying in BTCs, but they don't survive for much time and don't give much profit to users.

i have them under mini earnings, it's like faucets, so it fits into that category
