I would like to get peoples opinion on whether they like iPhone or the Samsung Galaxy line better.  I have had the iPhone a few times and I always got rid of them, because I did not like all they did not have to offer that Android did.  So I am a Galaxy person.  I like the Samsung Galaxy hardware and how it looks and works.  Thinking of upgrading from by Galaxy S5, but I am not sure.  Any opinions.

If you want to get the most out of it you should jailbreak/root it. Without it you still have limitation on both android/iOS.

Left my Galaxy S3 2 months ago for LG G3 (was not happy with LG products in general but thought I would give it a try).  The G3 is much more responsive and less bloated than the newer S6 I tried.  Wouldn't ever consider IOS simply because of price.

The system specs speak for itself. Galaxy for the win!

I use the Samsung Note 5 for work, and iPhone 6S+ personally. Like the Apple ecosystem better but <shill-mode>GearVR for the newer Samsung devices is a pretty kick-ass option</shill-mode>

I choose the iPhone above any galaxy smartphone. Samsung never impresses me with their phones. Apple also doesn't impress me anymore with their iPhone's but at least they are preferred by me :)

I am using Android. It is the best for me. I have never used iOS. I don't like it.

Android has many bugs if you heard about how you get spied and the email bug also

I have to voice my opinion again.  I am not sure if this issue is with Galaxy S5 or the Android operating update I did, but my phone has been running slow for about a week now and I did this android update and now the phone needs a complete reset.  Be warned guys and watch what you update.

Modern Galaxies have fucked themselves a bit by becoming more Iphone like. Why pay double for more storage when they used to have sd card slots? Same goes for removable batteries. I bought an S4 a while back. It was old and the battery was going. It was $10 for another one to bring it back good as new.

Android is far from perfect but it'll always be a better deal than Apple for me at least.

Pick up the Galaxy S6 and you'll quickly notice the flat aluminium edge and the Gorilla Glass back. The plastic and textured removable back from the S5 have gone completely and we don't miss them one bit. A non-removable back means you can no longer swap out the battery, but Samsung has added wireless charging support to soften the blow. One of the more unsightly elements of the S6's design is the protruding rear camera. It doesn't impact on the way you use or hold it, but we'd prefer it if wasn't so prominent.

Far more to Android than just Samsung.
I don't want restrictions etc that come with Apple stuff.

Samsung was getting to expensive. I have just a Chinese Android Mobile phone for 120 Bugs.

This is a very debatable question...

There are few people like you who don't be satisfied from Iphone. Most of the people who use Iphone, don't like to use Samsung Galaxy. So, my opinion is that people who prefer performance rather then design, they will choose the Android - Samsung Galaxy and the other part will choose the IOS - Iphone.

My first smartphone was Samsung Galaxy Chat. Honestly, I was really satisfied from the Android, but the phone was one of my ''best choice'' in my life! :D After 2 years I have decide to buy a new phone and I was thinking to change my OS. Microsoft Lumia was one of the options, but after I talked with few persons I have realize that it will be much better if I choose android phone, because by all statistics, Android is definitely No.1 software for smartphone.

Now I am using LG F60, but I am still a fan of Galaxy! :)

I recommend the iPhone to my aging relatives who don't understand technology well.  I personally use a Galaxy S6

I am on Samsung Galaxy S5. Love it so far.

android 6.0 would be the best.
because micro SD cards could be an internal storage.

iOS sucks on storage, almost HKD$2000 difference between 16GB and 128GB based on 6S plus.

I'd have to go for iPhone, it's really easy to use.

That's why I offer it to my aging mother lol - they don't need to worry about the new advanced features on the Galaxy.  :)

Galaxy/Android is better technically, its a plug and play no need to install other programs to transfer files on it.

I would choose a Galaxy product over a two times more expensive Iphone every day. It's just better.

i have an iphone 6 and i like it

Samsung all the way I've had a iPhone 4 5 an 6 . Now I'm using Samsung s6 an it blows the iPhone out of the water .

I personally think Apple products are waste of money. You can buy the same/better things for the same/less money.
If I was between Samsung Galaxy 1 and an iPhone 6.. I'd pick the Samsung, no doubt. lol

 ??? ??? I have all reasons to why I hate Samsung devices. I am an Iphone person and I will forever be an iphone person. Samsung have discovered that they have loyal customers and they are exploiting them a lot. One thing I know is that with the very many brand names that Samsung have today, the devices in terms of functionality are almost the same. You will note that they are concerned more on the design and appearance that the real functionality. Apple release Iphones with brand new technology every time.

If you talk about lifetime for sure IPhone/iPad. Samsung devices are so quickly broken or have defects. Just a lifetime for 9/12 months After one year they are worn and totally exhausted.

iPhone is the best

I am an iPhone person.  I like the iPhone and now that Sprint offers a free iPhone upgrade every 12 months, I love the availability of the phone without having to put a lot of money our of pocket on a general regular basis.

Never had an iPhone, but after 4 years my galaxy S2 is still going strong and I see no reason to buy a new smartphone.

i would choose a galaxy phone. Mostly, because i don't like ios and i do not like all those icloud itunes tings. Also, i like the design the galaxy has and i would rather choose a samsung galaxy s6 edge than an Iphone 6 plus.

I would choose Iphone because of its quality and simplicity rather than a galaxy one.

Iphone was better than galaxy in my opinio.

Without a doubt, I felt Galaxy was more technical, you could customize and do more stuff with the software that the Samsung Galaxy shipped out with. But with the iphone, it was more practical and just user focused. Things weren't as customizable or selective, the given options of you can do this or you can do that made it pretty simple. I do like my iPhone but I do wish it had the convenience and functionality of Android.

I would say Iphone

I use Blackberry Passport. Games and surfing the internet are in my laptop, my blackberry is for work. I love the way it pushes emails.

I have always found iphones the most user friendly and intuitive for me.

Galaxy series is much better IMO because it's more open and you can enter things in the device with ease unlike with iOS, that's my opinion though.

Galaxy is easier to use than iPhone and iPhone is more expensive.

Am I allowed to say that if Windows Phone actually had any apps that would be my preference? Their app store is a ghost town so it'll never succeed now but it's by far the smoothest actual user experience for me at least.

Depends on your taste. Try them both and see which one you prefer. I'm not a fan of Apple products due to their proprietary and closed systems. Iphones are a bit restricted in that sense (can't share music and stuff with others). I don't like the Galaxy phones because they're too big to fit in my pocket. The Galaxy Mini wins for me.

iphones are surely better quality in my opinion thats why i choose it over galaxies

probably S6 edge, there are a few things that i don't like about iPhones.

I'm a user of Note 4 awaiting for the Note 6 this year upon renewal of my contract. Note 4 allows you to sign documents on the go using your stylus. While the android ecosystem itself allows you to download youtube videos hassle free without any conversion in format or transferring from a computer. Same as transferring any movies and even include subtitles the same way as you do it in Window. Transferring via bluetooth to any bluetooth enabled device is also not a concern not to mention transferring movies via wifi will only take you around 5 minutes which is quite an old technology already in android ecosystem. iPhones represent class but I prefer features over class, or it's just me.
