Title: Which alts have not dropped as BTC has risen?
Post by: bitcoinrocks on November 27, 2015, 04:37:14 PM
Almost all of the alts I hold have dropped as BTC has risen lately.  It's been a major disappointment.  The only one that hasn't is Bitcrystals (BCY).  Have any of your holdings held steady or risen as BTC has risen lately?

IXCoin and I0Coin, of course.

(Both continuing their long term rise vs bitcoin regardless of what fiat is doing. As usual.)

Litecoin is still rising with Bitcoin but the 0.01 resistance level is difficult to overcome. Ruby is being pumped and if you buy this coin now, you will end up in tears a few months later.

You can anticipate LTC, PPC and NMC to perform well with BTC.

It's easy for a pump group to manipulate altcoins due to low volume.

Quite a few coins have. The observation of the OP is the price /BTC dropping for many alts as BTC has gone up, rather than participating in the price rise. This happened during the previous BTC pump as well, and again with this one.

Which coins did you notice doing this last time?  The ones I was holding all skyrocketed (in terms of /BTC) along with USD/BTC back then.  Litecoin, Peercoin, Namecoin, and more (all from memory though).

I didn't mean 2013, I meant a month ago when BTC hit 500. LTC has done reasonably well, maybe NMC too, though not sure about that.

NuShares have risen 92% in BTC (http://coinmarketcap.com/assets/nushares/#charts) since September 1.

AXIOM has kept on rising vs BiTCoin through all this too.

IXCoin's rise has been aborted though by CEX dropping the coin causing oodles of dumping at crazy-low prices on CEX, which is insane enough low that arbitragers have finaly gotten around to grabbing all the dirt cheap IXC and sending them to other exchanges where the price had been rising. So now even on Cryptsy its no longer worth bothering to place buy orders as the dumping arbitragers are so eager to dump they'll do so even at crazy-low prices.
