I'm trying to bet an MMA fight Holloway v Stephens and when i try to click the fight to choose Holloway it says




what does @ 1.19 mean?

I believe that means the payout if you win, any sports bettor is free to prove me wrong though

does this mean if I just bet with just 0.02 btc I get to win 1.19 btc still?

No it means you win 0.0038 and you get your wager back

No that means if u bet with 0.02 u will get 0.02 x 1.19 = 0. 0238. That 1.19 is the odd.
Here is the calculation: winnings = (odds * stake) – stake. Let’s illustrate it with some examples :

    9.0 can be calculated as (9.0 * BTC10 stake) – BTC10 stake  = BTC80 winnings.
    4.0 can be calculated as (4.0 * BTC10 stake) – BTC10 stake =  BTC30 winnings.
    2.5 can be calculated as (2.5 * BTC10 stake) – BTC10 stake = BTC15 winnings.
    1.25 can be calculated as (1.25 * BTC10 stake) – BTC10 stake =BTC2.50 winnings.

Its the odds, higher odds mean that there is a less chance of winning. I'm sure the site you're on gives high odds as well, i.e in your case 2x

Odds are the basics of sport betting. If you're betting 1 BTC on odds 2, you'll receive your 1 BTC back (if you win) + 1 additional BTC as your winnings.
If odd is x3 you'll on receive your 1btc back + 2 btc ass your winnings.

Well, just like mexxer said, yes its a payout that u will get if u win, i believe.  In case u want to bet 0.01 then, u will get around 0.0019.. If u bet 0.02,then u will get 0.0038.. That 1 refer to 1x (ur bet). That i know for now.

ya if you bet on above x2+ you will get more like if you are betting for 3.5 odd to win then if you are betting 0.01btc x 3.5 odd you win 0.035btc this is the basics of sports betting, but if the team losses then dont think that you will get any thing you will just lose your bet amount 0.01btc.

max stake 1 BTC. so you bet 1 BTC for odds 2 and if you win you got 2 BTC

Yeah if I'm not wrong those are odds for your bet.For example consider a match between
Floyd Maywheather vs Manny Pacio
If you open up your bet control it will show something like :
 Floyd Maywheather @ 1.9
Manny Pacio @ 3.1

This means if you want to be 0.1 btc's on Floyd Maywheather you will get *1.9 of the your bet which is 0.19 in this case and if you bet on Manny Pacio you should get *3.1 of your total bet amount.

its a very simple betting in sports, the odd which you bet are the odds you will win if your bet wins, like example

their is a match between pak vs eng

pak = 1.70 odd
eng = 2.50 odd

now if you bet on pak 0.01btc @ 1.70 odd you will win = 0.017btc

if you bet on eng 0.01btc @ 2.5 odd you will win = 0.025btc
