Title: Potential Activity?
Post by: Arrakeen on December 01, 2015, 12:26:54 PM
Hi guys,

How does one measure their 'potential activity'?  Apparently that is a detail many people like to see when purchasing accounts here, and I'd like to know how it's calculated/what the formula is for finding a user's potential activity score.

Does it have to do with how old an account is, or how many posts a user has written in relation to another factor?

Thanks in advance :)

Potential activity is the activity that an account can potentially have. You can get up to 14 activity every two week period. If you make one post in that two week period, you get 14 potential activity. There is a whole description of how the activity works in a sticky in meta

There are a few sites which can calculate the potential activity of an account such as http://bctalkaccountpricer.info

Appreciate it :)

There's another site: http://visitorsbit.com which usually don't have the queue that the above one have.

Also, if you want to, you could PAY 0.001 BTC to http://www.bitcoinrates.in/bitcointalk/getactivity.php and their reports are much more detailed and there's no ad (I am not affiliated with that site, nor getting any benefits from that, I also need to pay 1mBTC to use that).

bctalkaccountpricer.info no longer works (for me at least) for the past few days.

There is a schedule which the activity increases here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12saLhlUoqIdairxzuSPu6EYGrt7FN2lOstO1yDjCEbA.

Potential activity are redeemed if you post and the potential activity is more than your current activity.

Potential activity is dependent upon on how many activity period that account has posted at least single post. Each activity period is 14 days long. If you post 14 posts in those period your real activity will increase with 14. If you post only 1 post then that will be added to potential activity which can be gained by posting later

Counting potential activity is a very lazy work
There are many websites which can tell the exact amount of potential activity account contains
http://www.bctalkaccountpricer.info is a free website which provides those info with other basic info too

While http://www.bitcoinrates.in/bitcointalk/getactivity.php is an advanced version but not free

Hope this helps  :)

Every two weeks there is an activity period. If you post during that period, 14 potential activity will be credited to your account. When you post, that post converts a potential activity into an actual activity point.

That's the simplest way I can explain potential activity
