Title: What is your most valuable altcoin/favorite altcoin?
Post by: b1gcoiner15 on December 01, 2015, 01:17:28 PM
the title says most of the question...

What altcoin do you have of most value, or is your favorite...
This can mean you hold a lot of it, you use it for a lot of your transactions comparing to other coins, etc

You can choose multiple coins, just explain why you think it's the best coin in your possession :)

I would pick ETH. Many people said that it will go to its IPO price but I feels that ETH is currently forming the bottom before going up again.

Nxt is definitely a sleeper. There's a lot of hidden value behind that token. A lot of which isn't visible to the naked eye.

I'll keep my eye on eth as well however, I'm a bit disappointed with the launch capabilities of that coin.

Monero because:
1) Adaptive blocksize limits together with a tail emission solves Bitcoin's 1 MB maximum blocksize / cannot scale issue.
2) Ring signatures solve Bitcoin's fungibility (coin taint) and privacy issues.

None of them. Nothing can yet challenge Bitcoin.

Bitshares, still I must admit price movement couldn't be worse. So there's plenty of room for growth.

Monero.

Has a great community and work ethic. Fairly launched and probably the best technology since Bitcoin itself.

Monero
 - real privacy / fungibility
 - scaleable (dynamic blocksize)
 - good dev team with working funding

I have never really wanted to invest in altcoins in the past because I felt that mostly everyone of them took bitcoins protocol and put some random quirky name to make people interested in it. As more time went on, there were more coins that were found to be instamined or ninjamined which made me really steer away from altcoins in general because it gave all altcoins the branding of "scam" or "shit coins". Not to mention the awfully senseless PoS coins...

Then one day I stumbled upon Monero and the cryptonote protocol about a half a year ago and really got interested in the project. I like the fact that they have literally started from scratch on the code and is continually improving the code everyday. It seems to me to be the only genuine attempt to make a totally brand new digital currency that functions like cash... I know some people on here are yelling at their monitors saying that there are other coins like dash that did it first, but the problem is that it wasn't fairly mined which automatically brands it in the "shit" category in my mind.

Even though it's not a very valuable coin right now and has been declining in value ever since I started investing when it was around 60 cents per coin, I'm still confident and continue holding. I don't have an extraordinary amount, but every now and then I will snag a couple to store away.

I mostly work on having dogecoin and litecoin but I earn free altcoins on yobit. I don't usually keep them, I exchange them immediately to bitcoins when it's possible coz there price are unpredictable. Like that one altcoin, I forgot the name, price was like 60k satoshi one day and suddenly a dead coin the next few days. Anyways, I  am clueless right now how the value of an altcoin is detemined like where they base the price of it.

I will pick stellar (lumens) as my favorite altcoin, I was one of the early investor at 400-500 satoshi and sold at 2500+ satoshi because of their marketing but right now it seems dead.no trading volume

Litecoin.  It's the only altcoin that has a secure network via hashing.

Even though I haven't really made any money on it, I'd have to say Ethereum. It's got a lot of potential in with its Smart Contract system (namely in DAOs).

I don't own anything but a handful of Dash.  I know that's sad.  So I'm partial to Dash and Dogecoin.  The rest are just poop to me.

If this is for personal favorite and holding alt I can say CBX would be the best for me as of now the transaction is very fast devs continue to work and road plan is not just pump and dump, already working for more development and uses. again OP it is my personal choice and to added up staking is also nice from this coin.

Right now, i'm into RAI and CBX. I checked the road plan of CBX, and everything was good! I've seen a good future for this coin. On the other hand, even the dev in RAI have not yet finished up the updates, i see that this coin has a potential. The p2p trading is active and people are pushing it to be listed on the exchanges.

My favorite altcoins were Doge (very good community), and Liteocin, both are dead now. Today the altcoin market has became unstable and scammy so i prefer to keep it in Bitcoin.

Might be checked CBX too mate, road plan and devs working right now, also open a signature campaign and a 30% bonus if purchasing it from cryptopia,  making it possible to boom this year and cbx is not a new alt it has a strong foundation and have good dev reputation you can check it up and see the difference.

Unstable? There many stable altcoins, like Ethereum, DAsh, Monero. This coins in some case better thank bitcoin.

Majority of the coins in my possessions are POS coins because you can run five or more wallet at the same time and it will have no effect on your computer compare to those POW coins it's more profitable made good profit from staking these coins..
