Title: Circle Account Weekly Limit Questions
Post by: viking02 on December 02, 2015, 08:28:40 AM
My limit is $300 a week on my circle account.  Last time i did a transfer of bitcoins a bit under $300 from electrum to my circle account.  The account shown in circle is in USD because that was the currency i use in circle... its the default and I didn't change it.

I then did transfer to my bank of america ACH transfer.

How long does it take before the $300 limit gets raised?  Someone on another forum said it took 10 transactions of $300 transfers in order to get the limit raised to $3000 for that person.

Also does this $300 limit mean i could only transfer max $300 worth of btc per week from electrum to circle?  Or there is no limit.  But if i did transfer say $3000 worth of btc to my circle account... then i could only transfer $300 a week to my bank of america and thus the rest of the funds would be stuck there due to transfer limits.  And if so, does that mean i wouldn't be able to transfer my usd balance on circle to my electrum?

Thanks.

https://support.circle.com/hc/en-us/articles/205958160-Why-are-there-limits-

as they said here, you need to verify something to increase the limit, and i believe it has to do with fiat only they do not talk about pure bitcoin transfer

Yes, in order to raise your limits you need to do higher level verifications. It's like this with pretty much every exchange.

The best is to contact them and they will explain you everything. If you don't prefer sending more documents, you might consider changing the exchange!

Okay but as of now, can i transfer more than $300 worth of btc to my circle account?  If so, does that mean anything over $300 i send from electrum to circle will basically be stuck in circle account because i can't transfer more than 300 a week to my bank of america?

Also would that mean i cannot transfer any amount back to my electrum afterwards?  Or does the 300 dollar limit only apply to transferring to my bank account.

The limit is for buy and sell, you should be able to use it as a webwallet normally outside that. You may want to look into better services that do this, it seem like you're in America so i would recommend Coinbase. I have a 3000 daily limit.
