The truth is, none of us knows where the price of bitcoin is going and we'd be foolish to claim otherwise.  And I'd hardly say it's a bull market.  OP, do you know the definition of a bull market?  I suggest you look it up.  We're having a price rise, but the overall trend for some time now has been downward.

No, but I also think we've left the bear-phase at the moment. The median value has risen very slowly over the last weeks and I think that's the best kind of price-rise. We're now talking about a plm. $100 rise in the last 5 weeks, which is certainly not unsignificant. I'd say its a matter of days before we gently cross the $400 mark.

I hold some btc (about 1.5) so to take advantage of price raises, and trade (buy) when price is lower (currently a buy order at 330 €, do not know how much it is in dollar). I hope to buy some more, so the drop will be in my benefit...

We are finally out of a 2 year bear run and you are saying we are leaving the bull run again? We will see a bullish line (not vertical spiking ofcourse) for a longer time than a month. Atleast until halving, I'm expecting a general uptrend in terms of price per bitcoin.

The rise is too fast. We only need 0.1% on average rise per day. Too much volatility is not good for bitcoin.

if you think that we have already seen this value in the past at least twice(for the 1200 ath and witht he last pump) then it's not haven a new increase

You are confusing the terms "crash" and "dump."
What you are describing are dumps. A crash is pump to $500 dump to $290...pump to $1000 dump to $340... and so forth. Bitcoin crashes are BRUTAL.

Don't expect Bitcoin to move differently in the near future. It is what it is. We are just to small and still very emotion driven market. Huge swings are quite normal. As we will grow and mature, swings and volatilliy will progressively diminish.

Also I think that we will have at least 2 or 3 more real bubbles as we have had when we went to $1,000 in the next 4-5 years. This is how we will grow!

The cost of mining is around $300 for European miners now as the difficulty is so high. They will not sell below that price.

Halving is the short term catalyst to drive the price up to $800 or higher. General acceptance of the bitcoin will raise the price further.

I think 800 dollars is a decent estimation, but It can go way higher than we can expect because if we say a figure that now seems way too unrealistic, we would be deemed of being delusional, but sometimes the delusional expectation is the real one. Nobody expect 1K ever for Bitcoin, and few expect it going 10K, but we will reach 10K eventually, there are 0 doubts about that.

Simply speculating unrealistic growth is not fair. As suggested the halving will act as a catalyst which just boost up the price around $800. This $800 also feels high, it will reduce constantly and might get a stable price around $600.

People have shown a lot of interest in Bitcoin ever since its inception. That doesn't mean that the price won't drop.
We have had bull markets and we have had bear markets.

I think bitcoin will go up to 700 dollar before the halving, as I predict it will be at May.

In May, the price could be just around $500. In July or August, the price could be around $700 or more.

I think the bitcoin price has found its bottom, that is the $400. So it will not drop in the near future.

That is right. I think the bitcoin price will at least double after the halving. The halving will reduce the supply of new coins.

What you have mentioned is right, but halving seems to be a catalyst which just boosts the growth of bitcoin. At the same when the catalysts effect goes off automatically the price falls and stabilizes around a value between the starting point of growth and the peak.

When halving comes, people will think the supply of bitcoin will reduce, and it will become more valuable.

Bitcoin depends fully upon the supply and demand, halving gives good effect on bitcoin price, definitely the halving reduce the supply of new coins, overall halving makes the bitcoin precious.

If the demand is the same as before, the halving will increase the price a bit. When demand increase a lot, price will be very high.

If the price will indeed increase then it's purely because of the speculation and all the hype around the block halving.

Just look into any thread here on this forum and you'll see block halving getting mentioned again and again and again.

The value of the Bitcoin is not going to that low soon and that is because it was stable for a long time so there will be also a time soon that we can earn some profit with Bitcoin.
But it wont be that easy that we can make some profit with it because we have to wait a long time until the value will be much higher.

Well, it might just happen. we never know about the price of bitcoin, when it rises and when it is going down. but it is not now time to enjoy the bitcoin price increases we've been waiting for, and I predict that the price of bitcoin will be higher than now, and I believe bitcoin prices will fall when everyone is not using bitcoin again

Not sure what makes you think that $450 is a recent bottom, but to be more precise, the $450 price level has never been a bottom. With enough panic going through the market, the price might even test $400 again.

I dont think so that the value will drop soon and that is because you have to know and see now that the value is going to be more worth so that is really nice.

After the official release of the SegWit, the price could rise a lot, double at least. If there is a big bug, the price will halve.

So the effect of the SegWit on the price is quite uncertain. The SegWit has been tested for quite some time. Hope there is no more bug.

Many reason why the price of bitcoin is decrease not only the bull market and i think thats why the price of bitcoins right now its because of cloud mining sites many cloud mining are crash and scam and i think they will sell it gradually so 700 value for now is impossible to happen right now.. or even before block halving..

I'm new to bitcoin.  Never experienced the drop you are talking.  I've read 90+ times that they predicted the demise of bitcoins but after the halving, the price rocketed.  Dropping soon?  I don't think so.  I'll think it will play in the 600+ mark even maybe more in months to come.

That's we a correction is bound to happen. It's inevitable. My estimation is that such thing will happen within a period of 1 month starting the day the halving occured.

I heard the hack was due to a bug in the use of the BitGo wallet. Many exchanges use the same technology.

many people are only speculating about the situation with bitfinex's hack but i have not seen any proof of thing you hear around the internet. i personally suspect an inside job was the reason for the hack and that wouldn't be the first time either.

You are very wrong, that event or occurrence bitfinex will have no effect in the bitcoin. because it is only a minor problem and surely hackers who get a bitcoin from bitfinex will not act stupid to throw away or sell a bitcoin. because if it's done then they will not get a big advantage, because it will drop the price of bitcoin

The hack coins will be monitored so it would be hard for them to dispose the bitcoins they hack, I believe they will just let it die so there will be some shortage of supply of bitcoin and the price will abruptly rise.
