Title: RUBYCOIN SCAM
Post by: KhalDrago on December 07, 2015, 01:47:52 PM
wtf is this shit rubycoin, overtakes monero, it has a dead ann thread, no community, no activity, no marketing, nobdy heard of it. this fcking altcoin valuing logic is so retarded.

It should be removed from coinmarketcap just like banxshares.

This is normal, happened to EAC too.
There is no logic in markets.

ruby was a scam from the start. The devs probably own most the coins are just trading it back and forward to themselves with some fake volume. who else would buy that crap?

coinmarketcap is pretty worthless outside of the top 10 coins. even then it's dubious.

It must be a damn scam, the coin only goes up in price, where are all these buyers coming from or is it the devs themselves, a coin nobody has heard from with no userbase at all suddenly has a 4.5M marketcap, lauphable.

scam, scam, scam. everywhere nothing but scam.

but do not forget that a scam is only possible if there is someone willing to get scammed.
don't complain. think before acting.

"scam, scam, scam. everywhere nothing but scam"

it worked for BTC (and is still working)
it worked for LTC
it worked for xrp
it worked for doge
it worked for Dash/Drk

so why can't it work for RubyRed?

cuz it is owed by 500 addies total
matters of fact
check the chain

The market has spoken.....Monero is shittest.....Ruby is also shit....but not as shit as Monero.

Monero has no GUI, a raft of other issues and a no updated wallet in god knows how long lol - its not hard to overtake!

If it is a scam then don't buy it. There are only few altcoins out there that can be trusted.

In fact the start of Rubycoin was not scammy, it was quite successful.

Start was at the 24th of February 2014. Within a short time frame there have been 17 Pools which have adopted this coin. The first 500 Blocks have had just 50 Coins instead of 500, so that it was a relaxed start. I was there at the first day and even blogged about it:
https://altcoinspekulant.wordpress.com/2014/02/25/miners-diaries-rubycoin-ruby-mit-gutem-start/
Unfortunately I didn’t kept the coins I have mined there.

But of course, the most recent increase was quite unrealistic and it seems to be, there is a lot of manipulation involved.

Up until a few months ago, they had malicious code that allowed them to sabotage staking reward. All ruby clones were obviously affected, and some other coins were attacked.

I'll leave this here.

I do not understand why Rubycoin is 50k when there are many better altcoins at cheaper price. It is extremely risky to buy this coin at the moment. Once the whales dump, the price can halve at any moment.

I like Monero, but that aside hopefully people will turn their attention to Boolberry, the best cryptonote coin with a GUI wallet.

I have bought some - the trend is your friend. Probably they can manipulate it further  :)

I was in the Rubycoin community since day 1.  Kassado the dev changed his name to FuzzyHobbit in IRC after he scammed a man for a lot of BTC.. He likely used much of that stolen money to pump his own coin and created artificial volume.. He switched from from PoW to PoS after only 10% of coins were mined.. keeping this information in his pump and dump group so that they could corner the market.  He has been promoting some conditional freeware trading software for over a year with no results.  Rubycoin is a SCAM!  - nOgAnOo

Dude, name me an altcoin (not the big ones like doge, ltc, etc.) that isn't a scam.  I'd say all of them are made just to make the developers money, and the sooner you realize this the better.  These shits are like penny stocks.  You might get rich really quick but more likely you'll end up broke even quicker.  Stay away is my suggestion.

I don't have this coin but they are doing pretty good on the market,I am surprise that they are pretty well even doing better than the other coins who has a lot of good features and marketing team, but I am not looking forward to invest here it could soon be a dead coin..

The interesting thing here is, that Ruby somehow maintain the very market cap, despite the rumors about the pump of insiders.
So it seems to be some demand here. But I have sold mine now, it's a little bit too fishy in my view.   :-\

This is exactly what the op said what you have just rehashed.
They are only ok on the market because the dev/s own most of the coin and that way it is easier to pump up buying and selling to themselves until the fishies give them some buy support.
You made a good choice not to invest the coin is already dead.
All it has going for it is a bot if I remember rightly and not a very good one at that.
These added to the reasons why I don't bother with alts anymore.
Its all backwards.

Well how can it dump if the devs hold 90% of the coin and supporting it. There is no demand other than noobies.

Thanks for this. I think you should write this in a medium post or some other blog with a better SEO so that more people can see it when they search for it.

If you think that this coin is really a scam, you can just simply avoid this kind of coins. But I really don't get it, if this is a scam coin, why is it going up in the market
