I mean, what is the point if I have weapon at my home? Is this thing is going to keep me or my family save? I don't understand those people who buy weapons so they can feel more powerful or used them for fun.

According to me, there should be only 3 groups of people who should own weapons: Police, Army and Weapon's stores. Everything else should be forbidden and protected with the law. Don't get me wrong, I am fan of weapons (swords and knifes), but I don't own them. :D

I do not own any weapon and have no plans to own one soon. I dont just like the feeling one has when in ownership of a weapon, you will always think that you are special when compared to other people. I have a team of qualified persons that guard my home and the property I have and i guess it is enough security one can have in possession. The only weapon I own is my mind, meant to carry out greater things that will impact lives of many.

Sorry I am not  weapon person.  I have a bow for hunting, so I guess you could consider that a weapon, but it is only used for hunting.  If you would consider that a weapon, you might as well consider my kitchen knives and construction tools weapons also.

Any other weapons are really hard to get (legally) in my country. It requires a lot of paperwork and ongoing effort to keep them.

Quick question before I answer. I have many things that can hurt and in a court of law would be considered a weapon like baseball bats, hammers, tools. I have all that. Does those count because all of them are always riding with me around town. You never know when a zombie may attack and you'll have a need to beat his face in with a good ol' Louisville.

Nothing with a high enough FPS to be considered a firearm here in canada, however i have many air rifles and pistols for target shooting. I also collect cavalry swords and fantasy knives. My 'white whale' Is a true replice of the 'bastard sword' from FF7 and a 'griever gunblade' from FF8  (If you dont know what FF is...... you were a deprived child lol jk)

no, i used to though, but it's not that safe with kids around so i'm just not into it anymore. shooting things doesn't do anything for me anymore, and it's fairly low crime where I live.

I have a couple airguns. Me and my wife used to shoot at tin cans in the garden.
Now my kid is to old, so i've bought some gunlocks and got rid of all the pellets.

I still have speargun that I use from time to time when doing free diving. I use to fish nearby and I should be using it if in case of invasion lol i don't think it will happen in my country but it currently is going on to some Scandinavian countries. so a simple baseball bat is going to be helpful.

In my opinion, if you are legally allowed to own a firearm, you are a fool not to. Who knows what could happen, why rely on someone else miles away (cops) to protect you. What if a war came to your town or massive riots? Do you really trust your government to be in your best interest that much or to save you from a burger?

I think every able bodied man should own an assault rifle, a side arm, gear, and know how to use them. But atleast get yourself a damn shotgun and some ammo, something. Cops are not there when the robber comes to your house... cops show up 10-15 minutes later to clean up the mess (if they respond quickly)...

Wondering if my wife would be counted as a weapon.  If you ever heard her yell at someone she is pissed off at, you will find that you are glad that it is not you that she is yelling at.  Other than that, i am not that comfortable writing about my weapons on here.

No, I don't like weapons of any kind. Especially hate the knifes. And I don't think that is very wise to allow people to carry weapons freely, this usualy ends bad.

I'm not also in love with bladed weapons. A good old gun is the best thing for a quick action, especially if someone psychologically disturbed come in your house with a gun too.

It really depends on where you live though. In my country as long as you know how to defend yourself and especially if you have knife defense training you would be ok, not a lot of people here have guns.

A guy here while back had his cut off while riding a bus.
and more recently a guy stabbed and killed another stranger on a bus.

I dont have any weapons in my possession, I dont like guns and that kind of things except in the games. There is ok to shoot and to buy weapons.. in real world that is one big stupid thing, I hope one day people will realize things around and get aware of things around.

Yep. 3 shotguns for quail, 4 rifles for game of various sizes. No handguns, those are hard to get where I live. Don't really see a reason either.

It's not overly difficult to start with a 0% if you know what you are doing.  Cloning something like a revolver, derringer or a Raven P25 is stupid easy.
Having CNC/manual mills/lathes at your fingertips is a huge bonus ;)  You can do a 1911 80% with a jig and a few hand-files.... Build one as cheap as ~$450.

Hmmm yes.I have weapons that have different usage.But i mostly use them for good intentions and self proctection.I always brings a stun gun with me just to secure that i can fight in any criminal.Specialy in our country Philippines there are lots of robbery happens here.And i also have weapons at home and school haha.Swords at home and pencils and pen at school.

Just was thinking about this, and given the choice of the only gun to have in a survival situation, I'd go with a .22 bolt action or semi auto with a 4X scope. You can carry a whack of ammo, and it will put down all small game and birds. Also while I wouldn't do it in a sporting hunt, it will take down a deer or a wolf if you are a good shot. Bears would be better left alone though...

She's really a beauty, but I think I need to change the spring and tweak with the diopter, because the accuracy is bad at the moment. I really love that riffle, because I don't even need a passport or any kind of document in my country for that type of riffle - well I need to put it in a bag while I'm caring it around, but that's normal  ;D
