Title: Antminer S3 locking me out... Post by: mfaidzul on December 09, 2015, 09:44:25 AM Anybody else have this problem when suddenly the miner does not recognise the usual root/root login & password combo? Out of the blue a miner decided it's not the correct password and refuse to budge.
Tried to hard reset the thing but despite going with all the methods described everywhere, it refuses to reset too. Thought the push button could be faulty so short-circuited its legs under the board to no success... The miner is running... happily hashing away. But I cant make any changes to the pool & stuff. Title: Re: Antminer S3 locking me out... Post by: MCHouston on December 09, 2015, 05:10:48 PM Trying using IE instead of whatever browser you are using if your using a different one. I have seen this problem with Firefox, Chrome, and ME depending on the version and miner.

If ssh'ing in with Putty does not work, then i guess it does not matter which browser you try to use. Did you try other passwords? Like admin, and such? Some other miners had different passwords for SSH than webgui. Maybe someone got access to it and changed the password? Dunno. Maybe you'll have to consider it bricked and look into how unbricking the S3. |
