I have some bitcoins but usually don't find places that accept it. There's a service that for sure I would like to spend my bitcoins. It is: https://www.23andme.com/ (Genetic testing for health).
I already asked on twitter for bitcoin payment method. I think could be interesting if Bitpay contact them to suggest Bitcoin.

I once bought 23andme service here for BTC, but only because I was fortunate enough to come across somebody who was selling a prepaid kit.

I'd be weary.

For one, scientifically the whole concept of genetic predisposition can be only consistently applied to a small subset of very specific diseases the effects of which you would already be experiencing. Lifestyle choice is a much better indicator of associated risk.

Two, they have historically fucked up badly organizationally, mixing up DNA samples from patients with those of other patients:

Three, the business model is dying. They have dropped their price by a tenfold in a very short timeframe now. The price they are currently offering is not enough to cover the cost of DNA analysis. This looks like a last ditch effort to save a company on the brink of destruction.

They definitely didn't mess up my sample: they were able to accurately identify a large amount of information about me knowing nothing about me whatsoever.  It was very interesting.

The problem is, they don't send the kit to my country (Brazil).
Is it possible someone from USA, buy the kit, sell for me in Bitcoin, and send to Brazil?

You can get a US adress that re-mails everything to your real adress. Then you just need to order to that adress.
