I've got a 6 cube setup that I have had running since last spring.  I've got them all tweaked to not run too hot on the DC side so not getting full output.  All dies are working and a 6 port controller.
I have not been keeping up like I have in the past so not sure where the market is now.  Looking at the postings here, it seems its all over the place for $/gh and not really a good correlation to the w/gh.

With recent difficulty increases and gear available I probably wouldn't pay more than $300 or so, personally.  Others might pay more.

These are still holding great value because they are very efficient, they are generally priced 75% of what an S5 goes for in terms of hashrate so you can probably get around $1000 USD for these if they are working perfectly.

The Jan20 S7 batch is priced around $1000+shipping, IIRC.  That's more than twice as efficient and 30% or so more hashrate.  Not sure why anyone would pay anywhere near that for these.

Yep see what I mean.  I can't see a reasonable way anything is priced right now.

This is a weird request, but can you sell me just one cube? I have a 4 cube Neptune that is missing their 5'th brother.

I agree with you but nobody is selling any 0.5W/GHS hardware at decent prices these days so everything is overpriced. People are paying the same for an S5 as an S7.

id prolly take a pair of cubes or maybe even 3 myself if they are priced good

I'd take 2 or 3 fully working cubes. Could probably work out combined shipping with allinvain if he's interested since we're both in the Montreal area. (I think?)

See there is huge demand for this type of hardware that's why the prices are still very high. Same with S5's.

Why not just buy S7s?  If people want to pay the same $$ for half the efficiency, I guess that's their business...

EDIT: The Neptunes are quieter, I suppose.  That's really the only advantage that I can think of.

I don't think anyone will pay as much per gh as an S7, obviously. 1000$ for a Neptune is silly, unless you're adaseb, but I don't think he's buying.  ;)

The only reason I can think of is either the noise OR that people rather invest $250 on a S5 rather then 4 times a much, maybe they dont want to take that risk.

$250 is not so much money but $1000 is considered alot. I mean thats most peoples mortgage payment pretty much.

Great! So, bgibso01, you can consider 4 cubes as sold between allinvain and I, and seems like the remaining 2 cubes are spoken for as well. Are you willing to split the miner up between us? I'd probably like the controller as well as the 3 cubes to have a backup and a testing platform for determining lowest possible voltages.


384W DC per cube running all dies at 500MHz. Depending on PSU efficiency, ~440w per cube at the wall.

That's roughly what I used to see on mine as well.  I found it best to run at 450-475 and undervolt a decent amount, try to get each cube down to around 325-350W or so.

Definitely not a bad idea considering how overloaded that poor little 6 pin connector is, even at 325-350w. Fucking KNC... These things would've so much better with a second connector.

Yeah, I was using my 16G cables and 1100W server supplies and I still didn't want to run at full tilt, and not just for power conservation reasons.  I trust those, but many PCIe connections just can't reliably push that kind of power over the long term...

No he hasn't.  I was wanting to know if it would be worth shutting it down.  Right now it just looks like the price is all over the place.  While I could part it out, it seems like a waste with shipping.  If I sell, it probably would be in the $.195-$.215/gh range + shipping.  Thanks though.
