Do you guys think I could start an escrow service?
0.00% fee, just to help the community out as I hate scammers which you can see if you check my scam accusation posts. I try my best to help people who were scammed (when I can). Obviously I wouldn't do deals worth $100 or something ridiculous, but I'd start out escrowing with $10-$20 transactions between users. I've got a low rank but I believe I make up for that in activity (not activity activity, active activity)
I don't want to start a service and get bombarded with negatives for "trying to scam" lol

Yes you can but yes also ... "you will get screwed with negative trust" .
Basically you ahve no green trust , so I don't see why people would use you on the first place , there is more trusted users that can hold higher amounts , and they are ranked more then you and also have zero fees .

But somehow people still get scammed for petty amounts like $1.
I'd do it to help the newer members who get scammed for those amounts by the scammers, because some escrow services don't do small amounts or they're really busy so I'd help lighten the work load

I understand exactly what you are doing & I'm not saying you are lying , but I personally if I were you .. I wouldn't take any chances because you will get negative trust more then likely just after few hours form posting your escrow services thread .

Yes you can always open up an escrow service here but I think with your current rank and reputation here in the forum, people will not use your service unless they know you already or have already dealt with you. What I think is you gotta earn your self more trust with more people in here so you can be able to help out others in escrowing. Do more trades and keep up the good work and sooner you will be known as someone to be trusted around here. :)

I guess I'll just wait a bit, see how it goes. Don't want to risk getting this account red as I spend most of my time on here :-(

You've been a member here less than a month.  Why would I use you and not one of the other escrow services that have a proven, trustworthy track record?

The answer is, no offense, I wouldn't.  You're right, people scam for less than $1.  I'd be afraid that you would be one of those people and I would not use you for escrow.

I wouldn't scam for $1. Check my threads, I've had $10 in loans without collateral & didn't run. I've done over 0.5 BTC ish worth of deals & transactions on here. There is no exact reason to use me, I'm just considering it in case someone needs a quick escrow for their transaction & can't find anyone else considering most escrow services don't do low amounts like $5 & are pretty busy so they can't respond to everyone.

Leave some Bitcoins with a trusted member as security.

No This is independent services so i advise you to gain trust ( By Selling- trades or ..ETC ) from trusted members in the thread preferred seiner member and above .
And then Be active in daily base here .. 1-2 years from now you can achieve your goals.GLuck

I think before start escrow service, you need try to get trust first by doing something helpfull through this forum.

As we know since Maidak & Master-P incident, it's quite difficult to find the real honest escrow

This thread interested me a lot, could you post a link or something about this incident? I would like to know more about that.

I would advice you to earn some trust first within the community and get yourself known and trusted

The answer is NO from me because your member level is low and you have not received any trust review from anybody but my answer can also be yes because you can start your escrow outside this forum.

Sure but you will barely get a single transaction coming in for escrow service and if you will have then it will be of very low volume.
You need to upgrade your account to some more experienced rank.

Might as well be honest, you will receive a negative from DT members and me for "Running a bogus escrow, can scam anytime". I'd advise you to have at least 5 rating(1 positive feedback, and 5 months of waiting) before starting such a service even though you may have good intentions.

Even people with 6-7 rating have been negged for trying to run an escrow before having any experience in high-volume deals.

I don't think it's a smart idea. The point of escrow is to provide both parties with security of their funds, and you have little to loose if you
take the money and run, just your jr.member account..

Risking on getting neg. repped is also something you should be aware of, and also the fact that people would hardly pick you for escrowing over
many other much more reputable members.

sure, just deposit $100 worth of BTC to a more trusted escrow and dont do deals over $30

But no one besides you can know your intentions, we only know your actions.  And you don't have enough of a track record here to really be an escrow.  But go ahead and try it if you want and see if people will go for it.

You need build your reputation, help this forum community, even people who have positive trust is just the mask.
Be honest person when build your reputation.

Do you think it would be a good idea to start an escrow service & deposit a set amount to another trusted user while my server is running?
IE: I ask someone to hold like 0.1 BTC, and offer to do escrow for deals only up to 0.09.

yes of course you can start an escrow service but on the right time,not now or else many newbies will just open similar thread,escrow service involves money and trust and only trusted members of this forum can set up one at least 5 green mark or zero members with no negative trust..

look, you need experiences and trusts to do an escrow works
Without that nobody will use it, heck have you ever seen an escrow without experiences and trusts wandering around in this forum ?

No offense, better to grow your trusts first then you can reconsider starting an escrow service ;)
