Title: Gambling Website
Post by: nebuzen on January 21, 2016, 04:19:42 AM
Thinking of making something. This poll would help me decide if I should pursue this. Recently lost a lot of Bitcoins to a scam, trying to make some back! :) If you can suggest ideas, that's just great!

If you have to rely on a poll to decide if you should persue it, then you clearly don't have the business experience necessary and you will probably lose money trying to build and market it.

If you like dice, play at Primedice, very trusted gambling site on this community. If you like poker go at betcoin, it's well structured.
Never send money to ponzi scheme that will scam all your coins.  Enjoy it

If you really wanted to make a gambling site, then you would have already made it. Don't make it now.

try to build a service that accept bitcoin and offer a discount, but do it for ebay instead of amazon, this should be the real project that need to be done, more service like purse io will encourage the usage of bitcoin

instead gambling and shit like that are discouraging its usage

You shouldn't leave decisions like this up to a community. You need to decide for yourself if it's affordable to set this up or now. If you have an idea set out or a plan, you should pursue this.

Currently, we have an abundance of bitcoin gambling sites that I have to say, will always be more popular and trusted if this forum. The admins of those gambling sites hopped on the bitcoin train at about 2012.

Honestly, primedice and Betcoin.tm is all I need to survive.

You can not say this ! Every site has its provably fair method and you can verify it ! If you play in a site that hasn't provably fair, problem is yours if you lose your BTC !

well, If you have a perfect job and are having some bonds/FD's then you could throw away some hundreds of coins on making a casino and just leave it like that for some years but promoting with the profits if any.But nothing to make you rich today.

Creating and promoting a gambling site is not easy. You need to first code it, which will cost you a lot of time and money (you may buy a premade script but it would be hard for you to attract players with it). You need to promote it, which again costs you time and money. You'd better think very carefully if you are able to and want to do this.

I had an idea that I already mentioned, it was a FanDuel/DraftKings similar daily fantasy league but Bitcoin based and with the twist that no account is needed. Should be as easy and fast to bet some bits as possible. However to get it working and maintain requires a big investment, from development, design & data entry work hours.

People saying this kind of thing because they can never manage to win somehow. There is no cheating on gambling, may be there are but the percentage is too low or may be some code error. All gambling games is depends on your luck when you play it so if you lose doesnt mean that the site scam but it is because luck doesnt beside you

Not every gambling services are scam, in fact majority of casinos is legit as it is more profitable to provide good, solid and trusted gambling experience than try to cheat people and run away with money.
And if you are saying that every casino is cheating service, because of the odds and house edge are unfavorable then I tell you this - this is not charity business.

i dont think that we need anything more than we have right now, there is a huge variety of gambling games to select out of and you can be kept busy for a very long time if you have a lot of money in my opinion

Yes and what I have seen after many days is that most of the sites have increased their features and now some new games also out there, but still new games are welcomed :)

I suggest you not to. to make a legit gambling site you need to have hundreds/thousands of bitcoins to pay the players and a good software/script so that hackers don't try to steal your money. casino/dice is a risky business.

Be aware that there is a lot of competition with bitcoin gambling sites. There are quite a few that are well established and leave little room for the new ones to be successful. Your site also has to be trusted; you want to make sure everything is safe & secure to avoid people stealing your coins or coins from players.
