Title: Can someone explain me the structure?
Post by: TheReeceMan on January 26, 2016, 02:51:08 PM
First of all sorry for my bad English, it's not my native language. :)

I'm doing the final project of my studies about the creation of a massive bitcoin mine, but I must explain technically how it would be done.
I fully understand bitcoin and all what involves but i can't find any information of the structure of a bitcoin mine. In case i'm not explaining myself well i need to know for example how are the rigs connected to  the net, if there is one or more computers working, and things like that. I think a good comparasion would be the structure of a lan like Router<-->Switch<-->pc's.

It would help too if you could show me links to any place where this is explained.

Thank you for your time.

 ;D

What are you studying?
Take a look at the pictures in this thread, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1072474.0 . Should give you an idea of whats needed.

I'll come back with a proper answer later tonight! :)

I would guess(!) they use some sort of workload system or proxy that distributes the work locally between the actual miners and hold a single or only a few connections to the outside network. Maybe you can get in contact with pool operators -> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=41.0 for details.
