Exchange this in increments, something that you'd be more comfortable losing if the worst-case scenario were to occur. Personally I would never do business with the user that contacted you, but that's your decision.
There is a handful of trusted exchangers that deal with these amounts regularly and have policies surrounding larger transactions to protect both parties. Even then you can never be too careful, good luck getting this exchanged.
