You are hero member. You can earn a lot through signature campaign. There are a few high paying campaigns around.

May I ask what is your budget you need to fund for that weekend trip to Washington? $500 -$1000 or more?

That seems like quite of a achievable challenge .As the above comments read,what is your budget.Few suggestions from my end:
Firsts Things First: Since you're a hero member,you can roughly around 0.05-0.06 btc every week through signature campaigns.Apply at of them ASAP.

As long as your article writing skills are concerned,that really depends on the number of jobs you get which is totally unpredictable.So can't estimate a possible value from them.Try small jobs in the forum,you can always see some or the other tasks they pay for in the services section.They pay relatively small,but it adds on to your savings.

Games and around section promos: Most of the promos give around 1mbtc free for trying stuff or betting or whatever.You can withdraw that amount as well.Very few offers though.

Since account farming is widely done here,it could turn out to be a good investment if you're lucky enough.For example : By a cheap full member or member account with Senior Member potential.Post for a week and the account you bought for 0.03 can be resold at 0.07-0.10.Best of Luck. :)

Why don't you join a better paying sig campaign ?

Also you can try to sell your ID and get a few hundreds bucks with it ::)
Also You can earn few bucks by doing a freelance job, there must be a lot of freelance job that requires typing skill ;)

Selling your id will be most of time used with fraud. Selling it and after it they use it for fraud can you get in real problems. Don't think it's something worth mentioning to people.

Not sure about the current demand but have you tried XBTFreelancer (or other non-BTC freelancing sites)? People pay good money for original English content

I was joking on that as i don't think he will sell his hard earned ID
and even if he did he can't take a trip to D.C. in just a few hundred bucks in his pockets, he need more than that :P
OP, try to do my suggestions as you can make a few extra dollar from doing it, selling ID aside ;)

I didn't take that suggestion all that seriously anyhow. But seriously -- if I can get more than $2 an article which to me is kind of a joke, I think I can pull this off.

That could be around 0.001 per post. So it is $0.4 per post. He will have to write 1000 posts to get $400. He might be banned for spamming.

So you're a American or not? Why so hard to pick up some money for a trip?
XBTFreelancer don't work for me either but I got a lots of spamming emails.

If you are so hard-pressed with earning enough cash for your trip I would suggest looking into other sites like Fiverr or Freelancer sites that pay you to your PayPal account because earning enough bitcoins here just from posting will take a very long time.

Good luck with your earnings, might take a while but I think it will be worth it. Good luck getting people to pay for articles.
