Title: Blockchain.info
Post by: lolxxxx on January 28, 2016, 12:38:25 PM
Hi there guys ,

I just updated my blockchain.info wallet to beta-version, and i am unable to process payment i don't know what kind of error its showing because the error is not fitting on my screen  maybe it is because i used to send the payment to 20 addresses.

I need to know how can i downgrade to blockchain.info the older one ?
that's where i clicked.

It is also showing 0 nodes connected, and my payment to bitpay merchant site also get stucked. I have also upgraded to new wallet but i have tried to send those transaction via old wallet.

I think its better not to send any thing or receive anything right now while they are upgrading. >:( ???

Are you two the same person or what is this?

What exactly do you mean when you write "upgraded to new wallet". Blockchain.info is an online service. Do you use their API?

What you updated? The blockchain.info wallet app (iPhone or android versions) ? If its a problem with the mobile app, try login on the website to see if it works well.
I didn't see any beta-version information on its website.

The blockchain.info iOS app seems to be operating fine. However when I have had issues with their service in the past, just try to access your wallet on a different platform. Switch from app to web, or web to app if possible and this normally is a temporary remedy until they fix their issues.

I don't know what you mean by beta, but I'm sure you can uninstall beta and just re-install the regular consumer version.

also if i try to login from blockchain.info it says Wallet version 3 is not supported.

It sounds like your best bet might be Blockchain.info support, seeing as this is clearly a problem with either their beta version, or their instructions for setting things up.

Pro-Tip: If it's beta/alpha there will be problems. To avoid these problems, just use the stable version like everyone else. :P

I tried the beta too, but not yet making a transaction. I can't find the option where to revert back.

I suppose our next bet would be to use the BlockChain app on our phone?

Same here can't find any option to revert it back to previous version. Can't find anything on internet, blockchain should solve this issuee. Well i think yes we should try blockchain app now. I,ll update if the iOs app is working correctly or not.

The iOS app is currently working fully as I've already mentioned in a previous post above. Whenever I have had problems with their app, I simple shoot their support a ticket and they respond withing 12-24 hours with sufficient assistance. Normally it's just them implementing a fix, and nothing for you to do on your end except wait.

just use this link to log in https://blockchain.info/zh-cn/wallet/login and you will be still staying at old version.

Whenever i go there and put my idernitifier in and click on login button it says wallet  version 3 is not supported so I can't login there , it's really irritating. There is no option there to downgrade to version 3 from beta version.

When you guys upgraded, were your coins moved to the new address in the beta wallet? Or are they still in the same address/s they were previously in?

Because if they didn't move then just, use the keys which are in the back up of your wallet (which you must/should have taken) and make a new blockchain.info wallet (if you must use it) and don't upgrade to the beta one this time.

No , The bitcoins are in the same address they are not moved in new address . I don't want to change my wallet . I just wrote an email to support stating that I want to downgrade my bet-version wallet to stable old version wallet.

you should never keep large amounts on an online wallet, but even for small amount of bitcoin i strongly suggest you move them into a new address created with another wallet (even a new blockchain.info wallet) because the new version is in beta mode so nobody knows what kind of bugs might exist in it.

he is right, ypu cant go back and change, if you stored your private keys, just make a new wallet and import the private keys, just make sure not to upgrade the new wallet if asked

The private key isnt for your original address, its for a new one, did you save your private keys before you upgraded?

I am taking the same approach and staying with the legacy/old wallet for now.

I think the problems are coming from people who upgrade and then decide they don’t like it and want to downgrade to the legacy wallet which it seems you can’t do.

You could sign up for a new legacy wallet and send your BTC back to it but eventually everyone will have to upgrade.

Yep, yep, and yep.  I never use the "beta" releases.  Too dangerous, too many bugs.  Betas are for highly-skilled people who really know what they are getting into and know what they are doing (I do not).

I use it often and it is very fast.
I also think it's pretty safe.
