Read the OP, this is not cracked accounts. These are valid Spotify 12 months CODES, that you redeem on your own account.

Why would any sane person pay for it when they can obtain it for free or almost free??

Because these reasons,
Cracked accounts are illegale.
You are using someone else's account.
If the other person listen to it you can't listen to it.
It's considered blackhat.

Here are reasons you should purchase codes
It's whitehat.
You can redeem it on your personal account.
You are the only owner.
It's delivered as a code, and not as an account.

This is certainly not whitehat if you are selling the code at very low price compare to the original price.
