Title: Looking for 5770 Aftermarket where to buy???
Post by: crazyearner on January 09, 2013, 10:42:19 PM
Hello does anyone know where I can get my hands on a 5770 Aftermarket Cooler as the stock cooler is a total nightmare when mining. Sounds like I have a jet engine in room and cooling is not that good on it. Does anyone know where I can get a aftermarket cooler for this GPU please?

There was a thread on these forums that pointed to ebay links for cheap copper heatsinks for video cards that had heatpipes, but they were 3 slotters. I cant find it though

edit: forum search is useless. google found it though. heres the thread

The L2 link to Newegg I posted has 31 reviews. You could read some of those to get a feel for them.

The post above you also links a thread that tests some really low-priced coolers off ebay with some different cards, and makes recommendations on what cards are compatible with what heatsink.

The only one that I know of is Arctic Cooling does make an Accelero XTREME Cooler for the 5970. Just like the other ones frim Accelero, it cools the core very well, but the VRM temps usually go up. Check this out HERE (http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/coolers/display/ac-accelero-xtreme-5970_5.html#sect1), and see that the best solution is to use the stock 5970 cooler at 100% fan.
