Title: [WTS] Spondoolies SP35 [US] - will ship worldwide PRICE DROP
Post by: Biffa on February 18, 2016, 09:04:26 AM
I have the following for sale:

1 x Spondoolies SP35 (SP35DNN1) @ 1.5 BTC OVNO
- SOLD

2 x Spondoolies SP30 @ 1.1 BTC each - SOLD
1 x Spondoolies SP31 @ 1.5 BTC each - SOLD
1 x Spondoolies SP35 (running at 1/2 speed as one power supply is out of action) @ 1.0 BTC each - SOLD

They are located at a datacenter in the US

Please check my trust, I've done quite a few high worth transactions on here, and can also supply ebay credentials if necessary. Even so if you want to pay for escrow through someone reputable such as Ognasty that's fine too.

Notes:
The slow SP35 needs a replacement PSU, or would be good for spares/repairs if you have other faulty units

PM offers or multi-unit deals
Shipping labels or UPS/Fexdex account details will need to be supplied

I would love one of these beasts in my apartment. Your price is also fair for the hashrate and PSU built in.

Anyway to undervolt/underclock these things so they are as quiet as an Antminer S3?

You can certainly underclock and undervolt them, and you can turn down the fans, but I've never heard one in person so couldn't comment on whether it would be as quiet as a S3.

I sorta maybe doubt it, the fans on these are pretty small and loud.

I looked at some photos of the settings and there is a way to limit the power from each PSU at 500W, so wonder if running it at 1000W instead of 2600W would make it quieter. Too bad you don't have these with you physically, so you could of checked.

But anyways good luck with sale.

Actually you can also control the fan speed in the settings. I'm sure if you google it you can find some video on youtube to hear the noise of these things. But you just need to bear in mind they are designed to be rackmounted in a datacenter where noise isn't an issue so they didn't design them for running in someones bedroom :)
