OTC thread closed. Please use exchanges


You can either escrow already-agreed trades, or fund a open order by sending the BTC or HODL to me (PM for an address) with a price and I will complete the trade directly once a counterparty is found. Available funded offers will be listed in the OP.

I have eliminated escrow fees and I just collect interest on the HODL coins deposited. If I end up holding the coins for a while and there is no trade I'll send back a reasonable estimate of the interest. For pre-arranged trades where both parties ask me to escrow the trade and I'm not holding the HODL coins, there is still no fee but I will gratefully accept tips for good service.

I have 909 HODL on escrow for 25K sat.

Also, I changed the fee policy. Since I noticed that the escrow wallet is earning interest, I will consider that the only fee for pre-funded HODL sell orders. On BTC-funded buy orders, the fee remains at 1%. Unlike the BTC fee, the HODL interest is not returned if there is no trade (it would be too difficult for me to figure out how to divide it up).

That isn"t correct. I have intention to use your escrow but I don't think I am obliged to sent my coins to you before any buyer' s interest first, and second, you can escrow the btc payment and after that I can send HODl directly to the buyer.

I thought it was clear those are pre-funded orders where I do have the coins (or the BTC in the case of the buy order).

Certainly you are not obligated to do that, and you can still use escrow (also optional). You make a valid point though. I thought this way would work better (based on my past experience doing a few OTC threads) but since there is an objection I will include all offers from the thread in the OP. Please do try to edit your posts when the coins are sold though (and reply on thread or PM me to let me know), so the OP is not cluttered with stale offers.

Am I the only one that has trouble reading the price when the trailing zeroes are omitted? Seen this in a few exchanges and multiple other places. I know there is mbtc etc which is eve more confusing to me. With BTC being worth as much as it is and most everything being priced under 1, I wish satoshis would be the norm without over complicating things with the other denominations. Of course when you're reading this stuff day in and day out it becomes second nature but that hasn't been the case with me.

I'm willing to sell 10.000 HOdl (my initial offer was 4.000) not below 0.0002 each. Still HOdling though..

Hmmmm . . . I'm thinking there may be continued demand for this OTC thread even after listing on major exchanges . . . users will be reluctant to list large sell orders on exchanges because of the large amount of interest they'll lose with funds on an exchange. Already seeing the HODL on alcurEX drying up a little.

Yeah that is definitely a consideration. BTW, although my OP states that I keep interest on escrowed coins for my fee in practice I've given at least some of it back to the coin owners when sending refunds (based on a guesstimated amount). The main reason I stated it that way in the OP is not wanting to have to track all the interest separately.

Yes I'm still doing it. If it is not in bold (and that one is not) then you need to contact the seller ('proletariat' in this case) directly and work out a trade. I can escrow if both contact me and agree to it.

Pardon my skepticism but given that you are new here, the large size of this buy order and the fact that there are coins immediately available for you to buy from multiple sellers, if it appears to not be real I will be removing it.

Due to high temptation to deposit my 10k (worth >350k in a year) I made up my mind and the lowest price for becoming part of top10 richlist is 0.00025 BTC x 10000.
Smooth please change the ask price of my offer. I believe it's a fair price considering the costs of mining.

There is no evidence of it being a scam, but it does always pay to be cautious. The history of exchanges in general is not good.

As far as the price there, the main issue is low liquidity and the spread being wide. Right now the bid is 12k and the ask is 16k (although most of the recent trades have been at the ask).

Sold this user some coins.
No issues on the deal.

I've updated the OP to clarify that there is no fee for the escrow service. Tips are accepted.

If I hold the coins for the order book and there is a trade, I keep the interest. If there is no trade and I send the coins back I'll send back an estimate of the interest.
