Title: Yobit Sig noob multiaccounts out of control?
Post by: AgentofCoin on February 24, 2016, 06:17:44 PM
Have you seen an increase in Yobit Sig Holders posting dross?

I would like the community to review this thread from yesterday and this one today,
and give their opinion on whether this may be a serious sig abuse issue.

Not only does it degrade the forum overall, but it may be an abuse of the forum rules.

Gleb's Thread on February 23
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1375023.0 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1375023.0)

A Yobit Sig Holder Thread of today
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1375824.msg13996680#msg13996680 (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1375824.msg13996680#msg13996680)

Have you noticed an increase in worthless Yobit Sig Holders comments?

There may need to be an investigation on all yobit sig holders and see if there are
connections (ips, btc addys) that show this is the work of a single person or a small handful.

It would not surprise me if it winds up that over 50% of yobits sig holders are the same individual.

I understand this may just be one small issue in regards to all the issues that exist here on bitcointalk.org,
but I think this may be getting out of hand now.

Edit: added/removed some words to clarify this is about the bct sig users, not the website.

A lot will be banned once the bot is back up. At least they'll probably have no where to go now secondstrade has closed their campaign to new sign ups.

Oh, this is great news then. I had no idea a bot would handle all that.
I thought members here would have to investigate on an individual basis.

Can I ask when the bot "went down"?

I only began noticing them within the last 1.5 to 2 weeks or so.
Never had any problems with the random useless comments from sig holders before that.
Now I wake up from nightmares about yobit commenters. :D

I await the day of the glorious mass banning.

Even without a bot you could pick them off easy when the wallet empties on the weekend. Before even reading the post above they post asking whats going on and is it just them that can not withdraw. If they are willing to spam the signature thread, its obvious they do it all over the forums.
I know this is about yobit but I have also seen account farming, where the same response is being used by 4 or 5 accounts on a page, slight variations.
So I think a few of these sig spammers are bypassing yobit altogether and waiting till the account is higher.

Its a nasty bit of business and I wish Hilariousandco the best in running it down.

To be clear, Yobit wasn't on my radar, nor is it now (at least not toward the top). Something else was on my radar, but upon uncoverings, way too many posts having Yobit sigs appeared, whereupon a pattern quickly emerged, hence my thread. BTW, where did my thread go?

I'll take the .0007 for doing simple thing asked.....that's what they pay for. Do they have a problem with campaign ? maybe most probably deal with scammers daily as that's one thing the "altcoin/btc" crowd seems big on trying, human nature ,greed, whatever......thanks for letting me earn the big .0007 btc by posting for yobit, as this is my only account even though rules actually do allow for more than one per person.

There have been a lot of botted sig campaigners on this forum recently. Gleb is usually right about these kinds of things. Perhaps YoBit's manager should be doing something about these bots?

Read the second post in the article from the man himself. ;D

Its a combo of odd stuff and it stems to three things. One being signatures, second is money for account trades and third is third world country
members that can profit.

It doesnt matter if some newbie accounts get banned. yobit has systemic problems like newbie accounts and earning for every post.

Yobit is really like the hydra.

they're not newbies... yobit doesn't even accept newbies. maybe soon they'll stop accepting Jr. members too.

14 activity is such a hurdle. but you might be right that they only take juniors and upwards.

I am not a bot and I don't have multiple Yobit campaign accounts.  Since I've been a bitcointalk member, I've seen tons of Yobit campaigners spam the shit out of certain sections--but I haven't seen more than usual lately.  It does irk me to see Yobit besmirched but I will get over it.

Not sure what you're talking about.  I haven't seen any Yobit Sig Holders posting anything at all.

Oh. Wait.

Nevermind.  I'm sure they probably are posting crap (like most sig campaign participants do), but I've got them all ignored. I don't see any of their posts.  You might want to consider the same.  Makes the forum MUCH more pleasant to use.

Or it reinforces a bubble where you believe all sig campaigners have nothing worth saying, therefor you make a bias thinking stronger.
Must be nice to be high & mighty about who you exchange with.

I don't see why you're supporting yobit anyway. I would never advertise them, they are a weird exchange, they have horrible sigs, and pay dust. I'd rather stick with no signature if I was with yobit.

Sounds personal. Need a hug?
Signatures are decent, the amount of members in the campaign, you would not want a overbearing logo. It has some great aspects for new users, like free altcoins to save up and potentially dip into trading with. Way to much slag on a entery signature campaign.

I agree, it's a pretty good exchange and the signature campaign pays pretty well. I don't make a living from doing this, and I'd be posting on the forum anyway, so why not make money?  But as I said above, it is true that so many signature campaigners just post garbage.

I am also tempted to do a one liner on some of my post,I have seen a lot of signature campaigner doing that thing not only on Yobit, but I don't want to be categorize as spammer and beside they are paying me to contribute and they clearly stated their spam policy..

few words posts doesn't always mean that they are low quality/nonconstructive posts (although they may look a little spammy if you do too many in very short time.).
you don't have to make a great wall of text if you can deliver your point or answer the question in 10 words or less.

P&S is actually a pretty clean area from spammers imo. Sometimes I notice a signature after I read something dumb or poorly written. Wonder if its one of those type of biases in play. I recognize that there are yobit spammers but since it is the most active signature here, how much of it could be just our own bias in play!
Have frequently looked at a member usually really low ranked like myself with a yobit signature and thought wtf is this!

Bumping requirements will solve a little of the problem but most likely the main benefactor would be those selling accounts.
