I don't think we will, but I will stay very very close to Mtgoxlive nevertheless :)

I don't know... there's quite a resistance.

I saw on MtGox one sale for $17.12 a few seconds ago, and now it's back down to $16.70

their have been many people who claim to see the price spike for a second, during this rally
yet bitcoin charts doesn't show that.

what going on here...

No,It is true the price does spike on the Gox via "Last price" to over 17.I have seen it myself a few seconds ago.

It's some coding error in the script that updates the prices in the browser. Gox has never fixed it, but they've been notified before about it.

Doubt it, the depth chart shows some pretty heavy resistance approaching $17... but it wouldn't be the first time bitcoin has surprised me.

I think the "last price" is also updated from the EUR and other markets on gox. EUR is currently pretty high (higher than USD).

EDIT: mtgoxEUR high is €12.73 ($16.95), so what I said doesn't make sense.

EDIT2: 10.85 BTC (mtgoxGBP high) = 17.17 USD

Ah so the other fiats affect USD last price listings, I'll be more careful about that then when I see sudden spikes.

I believe they only show up when MtGox needs to move bitcoin from their USD listings in order to satisfy another currency's order.
