Title: Re: Hot Coins Post by: tyz on February 27, 2016, 08:15:09 PM This is a weak argument. It is very easy to cash out by using a service like MyEtherWallet.com for example.
I am an early investor and cashed out around 50% of my Ether using MyEtherWallet. I think the hottest altcoin is the Ethereum. It has the largest market cap and it also has the largest trading volume. I second Gridcoin. Gridcoin is a cryptocurrency that rewards researching for BOINC projects (https://boinc.berkeley.edu/) in a decentralized way. There are BOINC porojects for example cure Ebola (http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/research/oet1/overview.do), fold proteins (https://boinc.bakerlab.org/) or find aliens (http://setiathome.ssl.berkeley.edu/) and many more. The greater idea behin Gridcoin is to create a worldwide currency like bitcoin and just like bitcoin there is a fixed rate of newly minted coins given out every day. But unlike bitcoin miners compete in doing calculations for actual research projects to earn the coins and do not waste electricity solving useless hashes. The coin is based on Proof of Stake but with the modification that the PoS reward gets bigger dependig how much research you do compared to the other researchers. The best way to get started with Gridcoin is on the official page: www.gridcoin.us, there is a tutorial for how to set up the wallet and how to start mining. Title: Re: Hot Coins Post by: P-Funk on March 01, 2016, 05:38:20 AM IOTA just got included with Microsoft Azure blockchain as a service, before it has been officially released. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1374941.0 This coin has like Decreed a airdrop, 1.187.400 CYG (4,58% of the total amount). He get some attention until yet, but he need a bigger exchange. The marketcap is now only low 20k dollar. He is atm. only at yobit https://yobit.net/en/trade/CYG/BTC With 25 retweets, bittrex will add this coin. So retweet it. :) https://twitter.com/WhalePump/status/706100295227592704 Title: Re: Hot Coins Post by: tyz on March 06, 2016, 11:07:04 AM Well, this news surprised me, too. It was one of those "Well, I should buy some but shiny object" processes. ;) That tells you something about how bull trends begin: they not only begin with skepticism but moreso apathy. The apathy that says, "Yeah, this is a good buy, but it's gone nowhere for, like, forever. I'll have lotsa time to buy...later...someday..." And then it wakes up, and the apathy is replaced by stubbornness. ;) "This thing was, like, supposed to stay where it was, like, forever! It's overpriced now! I'm not gonna buy that!!" And the rest is part of history...the history books of Punter's Anonymous. (sigh) Title: Re: Hot Coins Post by: BrosephGordonLevitt on March 08, 2016, 10:45:31 PM Quora looks somewhat interesting...thoughts? It has the largest market cap and it also has the largest trading volume. Ethereum has been kinda flat as of late. And man, some of the coins that trade on yobit are so volatile it's unbelievable. You can consider a 1700% gain "hot" but you could easily lose everything. And markets for a lot of these shitcoins just aren't liquid. You can have a hell of a time trying to unload them.Title: Re: Hot Coins Post by: funsponge on April 03, 2016, 10:31:23 PM Bitbay has gone from 58 sats to 162 sats in 5 days and will continue to go up as the end of the month comes closer as that's when they release their decentralised market
