Did you know that 7990 is not an official card, and that it power consumption is around 850W ?

lold. 850 watts from one card would melt the solder joints. try again.

I believe PowerColor is the only manufacturer who has one on the street officially.  NewEgg is selling them new for $899.

So i would not expect to be able to get one for that price - They havent been out long enough for a competitive resale market to have developed.

AMD hasn't been doing well over the past few years, their stock sells less than 1/3 its highest ($10 per share) price during the last 4 years. They've barely made profits (data (http://"http://www.google.com/finance?q=NYSE%3AAMD&fstype=ii&ei=84EEUZitGOa50QGHcg")), we may never see new AMD GPUs.

That is truly sad... I have been an AMD/ATI fan for over a decade. I allways bought AMD for their price/performance... never bought high end procs... just overclocked...

Anyways, They'll make it to 8000 series. The product is mostly developed by now anyways.

The PS4 isn't guaranteed to be profitable (although the contracts would improve their earnings), the Sony PS3 wasn't profitable at its initial release. I use AMD products too, but its unfortunate that the company isn't performing well and their shareholders are probably worried about the state of the company too.

551W for just the card running Furmark.

$600 would be a pretty sweet price for that card, good luck.
