Title: Stupid scam attempts.
Post by: bitkilo on March 25, 2016, 10:20:20 AM
With so many scams going on here you come across some that just make you laugh.
Some scams have been well thought out and hard to detect but others just leave you wondering how the hell did they really think people would fall for it.

Post links to the dumbest scam attempts you see and we can all have a good laugh at them.

Here's one I found was pretty dumb:

There's this one, but I'm sure you've already seen it.

I've also seen someone successfully scam 20 cents in the lending section, and I think the lender sent the scammer the money out of pity. This was about a year ago.

well in 2012 it really worked , just see old accounts with red tag and you will understand that taking loan was much easy at that time moreover people were easily convinced.

I have actually looked back at the old lending board pages and some of the bitcoin amounts being loaned were big but probably smaller in dollar terms .
10-50btc loans were common to see.

Anyone remember Dank? Think he probably still owes that 52btc.

I'm surprised nobody has posted about all of the "pro lender" stuff that went on last year, I'll try and find it now. There was also a guy that made a couple of alt accounts with a very similar username to mine claiming to me. I could have sworn he was trying to make a joke, but it was pretty funny if it wasn't.

Edit: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1147309.0
If you had of read the replies before posting you would have seen that Encrypted has already pointed him out.
Sig spamming maybe?

No not really. I've deleted it and replaced it with this one if it helps you sleep. I also made another point in the reply about something else, with the different usernames.

Ah yes, the PRO LENDER threads, and manyproofs I think.  Could never tell what his deal was.  Then there was that thread where the guy wanted bitcoin for one of his testicles.  And the whole KLYEMAX disgrace and shaming.  I apologize I don't have links.  I've seen so many noob accounts try to scam for pennies but they're not funny usually.
