Title: I can write custom software for you, utility applications, data mining, website
Post by: BitStick on February 05, 2013, 12:52:17 PM
When you use your computer what tasks are you constantly having to do by hand because you can't find the right software to do it for you?

Maybe I can help :) ..... for bit coins

Maybe its extracting data from a MySQL database , converting data from one format to another, file management, converting data into html pages, organising, sorting, removing duplicates, etc etc

Web site ripping, if you can browse a site by hand and collect data from it I can write software to do the same job thousands of times faster. This includes mining search engines (i.e sending automated search requests and harvesting the results)

Just let me know what you want done and I'll let you know if its possible and how much.

I work CHEAP  ;D

Thanks for the link mrvision, I'll look into it and maybe join.

I'm wanting to start a small gamboling website (just micro bitcoins) but I'm struggling to to find ways to get the bitcoins to start it going. I only need about 0.1 or 0.2 bitcoins but I'm not having much luck  ;D

We're just about to release our gambling website...  maybe you can help us with a little testing, and proof reading and then we can give you some shares... what do you think?

If you want to know how to 'detect' transactions i would recomend you using blockchaininfo's api + blockexplorer + bitcoinmonitor.net (just in case one of them fails)... better than installing the bitcoin daemon.

Bitcoinerr works with the bitcoin daemon, but as the blockchain is getting bigger, the vps is getting more and more expensive. That's why i'm researching for alternative methods.

I could easily write software to run on your computer to tunnel the blockchain website for information but I couldn't make a script to do the same in a web page.

I only write applications for the computer not web scripts, sorry.

@mrvision

I was thinking of doing a software application for gamboling but I found it very difficult to prove I wasn't cheating if it was in real time. This is what I came up with.

Each key is in two parts separated by the "+"  , to the left is the results of a simple dice game where you toss a coin and roll two dice (the rest is just random to prevent hacking) and to the right is the md5 checksum of the of the coin toss and dice roll.

What I was thinking of doing was listing the md5 checksums in advance and then when all bets were placed release the actual coin toss and dice roll (or whatever) proving that the game couldn't be rigged.
