Title: [WTB] Butt. Labs Jalapeno [CLOSED]
Post by: thepwnorbpwnd on February 08, 2013, 02:13:16 AM
Looking to buy a Butterfly Labs Jalapeno on a mining contract/ buyout.

Will pay 75$ @mtgox avg in bitcoins now, let you mine it for 2 weeks when you get it and then send it up to Canada to me.

You not only get the $75/$170 you paid out of it, but the extra BTC it mines within the two weeks you have it.

ESCROW ONLY

Open to offers if people are interested.

Due to no interest or offers I close my request.

It's generated alot of traffic so far. :P

Fun to watch silly deals in the making :)

I like to see what my preorder is worth sometimes.  I ordered singles though, no jalepenos...

Good luck!

Mining for fun?  Or trying to actually make money?

Making money, so far covered my half of the rent for 4 months without a job and my woman is pleased.  ;D

Assuming you asked for hash rate (hr).

I must be missing something - you pay $75 now - and you paying the rest when shipped?

I pay 75$ NOW, you get it shipped to YOURSELF, mine with it on your own farm and pool for 14 days, and then send it to ME when the 14 days are over. I MAY be able to pay for shipping by the time the 14 days is over if I've got extra past my profitability margin has been met.

It's basically like saying ''I'll give you money now and let the device mine the rest when you get it.''

Speculation such as ''What if coin price flops to 2$?'' Isn't a part of the contract either. 14 days is your 14 days. And then it's mine.

Gotcha - so hopefully in that 14 days the difference between $75 and the price being paid is made.  I think that is a big if.

That risk is up to the person who gives me an offer.

From what I know, Jeff's avalon mines 10 BTC per day. Let's do some math!

10BTC/day/66 GH/s = xBTC/day/4.5GH/s

45BTC*GH/days*s = 66xGH*BTC/days*s (Simplified -> 66GH/s*xBTC/days)
-----------------------------------------------
66GH/s

x = .681 BTC/day * 23.50$ = 16$/day * 14 days = 224$ on unchanged difficulty + 75$ offer = 299$ -149$ = 150$ profit for who sells this Jalapeno to him; however, keep in mind

Quote
on unchanged difficulty

** Note: Also assumes bitcoin value does not depreciate, but keeps a constant in USD value and difficult in mining.

Thanks alot for the clarification for everyone. Plus whoever takes this offer would probably get the opportunity to use the jally before the difficulty completely skyrockets. Who knows may take that two weeks for the diff to get up there. Then what? I get it when diff is jacked and prices really drop? Therres a high chance someone would be able to pay for it and then some. *All said is subject to speculation.
