Edinburgh-based crypto startup CoinsBank launched this week an all-in-one gateway to blockchain services as part of their official sponsorship of Money20/20Europe.

CoinsBank launched the product by including gift boxes with related gifts in the bags of the 3,000 participants that attended the event. Gifts included a debit card, a gift certificate of 0.1 BTC and an invitation to CoinsBank’s blockchain summit to be held in October.

Also, do you guys have the regular "USD, GBP, EUR" setup, out can you do AUD as well?

I'm using one of debit card issued by Bit-x.com (Anonymus Card). I used that card on amazon.com and now I have got my amazon account on hold, they are asking fax this verification to them:

-- A copy of your statement for the payment card that you used, including the billing address.
-- The last two digits of the payment card.
-- Your name, phone number, and email address.

I don't have the first one. And they are not accepting verification without it. I have written to the support system but no reply from their side. I have called on +442036088233 But no one ever picks up the phone. There doesn't seem to be a way from which I can get my payment card statement.

Really  interesting section was with our CEO Ronny Boesing where he was speaking about advantages of decentralized technologies: transparency and integrity. Ronny told about exapmle of flexibility on different national markets: Coinsbank products are adapting using legislative framework and banking system. In this way clients can use our products everywhere, no matter in what country they are.

Your website is a poor example of quality.

On Safari, I get "Phone number invalid" when trying to log in, unless I add a "1" for a USA phone number.

When logged in, I need one unique email account for password recovery.
A second different unique email account for the profile of the account.  The 1st email used it marked as "taken".
When verifying my profile, and adding an email, again I cannot use the first email, and not even the second email.
I am required to provide a third different email address for verification!

What is this?

Why do you do that?
Please FIX your database and website to work with safari and not require a different email for every little part of your site.

Also please post the limits of the cards, as they were difficult to find.  Impossible on Safari, only in Firefox.
Be aware that your site is in mobile view on Safari (from a desktop), but is in full desktop view from Firefox.

Maybe fire your web developer.

I was able to fix the issue but you still have an error in your API. If you create the API & check (set it to "Yes") the Read-only , you will get the error I mentioned above, If you leave it unchecked (Set it to "No") then you will have no issues. I thought you should know and report it to the developers.

Monthly fees should start from the second year as far as I know and If you have no balance then they won't take any (logically) but If you deposit a greater  or equal amount to the monthly fee then It will be taken from your account . (If you wait several months then you deposit then they will take fees for several months AFAIK) . Still , you may want to wait CoinsBank answer for confirmation just in case.

you might blame BTC, or vote we start use some alternative alt coin more, so BTC fee do not rise a lot more fast :)
BTC is designed to be gold so I am not sure it can be cheap, day by day its more expansive to sand a transaction with bitcoin

From the first day, I can remember starting to use BTC , recommended fees were always 0.0001 BTC and transactions were going through without any issues.
If you are using services that ask for high fees then It's your fault and not Bitcoin's fault.

How long is it taking for payments to be processed I have a withdrawal on site ad current status Awaiting confirmation confirmed code it sent me and said approved now changed to Awaiting confirmation. How long does this normally take as it use to be instant on site.

Seems to of been paid out now and resolved. Guessing had to process manual. Shame to see their signature campaign come to an end to after 2 years but maybe they come back who knows. Site works flawless for me tho when am on it. Awaiting their trading to go live from beta that I look forward to.

For the debit cards are you still offering these free to members or are these now having to pay and order. Also can you introduce people and make an affiliate commission from these if you get active users using the cards. And last but not least can you directly transfer to debit card by this I mean send to a BTC address and it goes directly to the card in that fiat value or allows to sell on the fly. Something is wrong with your Notifications system (at least the payment's one) , I received 0.04 BTC at 5:38 A.M (14th September) , exactly one hour later (6:38 A.M - 14th September) , I received another SMS saying that I received 0.04 BTC and when I check the account , I only find one transaction (which was what I'm supposed to find)

It is not specific to this service, but I keep seeing services that employ a side chain from the main BTC block chain and I wonder what happens to these if the BTC block chain forks and the consensus somehow leaves a side chain behind? 

No matter how perfect the service, how well they manage the business or how great a business they are, if BTC splits and a new ruled consensus is accepted, a side chain could get lost. 

I don't even think that you can configure a forking to force include specific side chains.  Most proper forks will not affect any side chains, but if it is done wrong, they all get lost. 

Also, bear in mind that any service based off the chain versus cloned is responsible to be a good business model and do well, but is also at the mercy of the chain above it.

NXT based sides may be in more danger than BTC since NXT is less strong, but BTC is getting forked and changed often and we count on those to be legit and not jack the system up.

If you check the link I gave you above , you will see that It clearly says that the maximum sum that can be spent (overall turnover) with card is 250 EUR or 300 USD depending of the card's currency. so yeah , the limits are pretty hard to deal with and the card is probably useless since limits are simply bad.

When you say "the rate specified at the top", is this something (the current rate) I can see somewhere right now so as to compare with the market prices at the usual bitcoin exchanges or only if I'm registered? Do you use the market prices of a specific exchange or bitpay or another tird party? I don't think so . I ordered the card a few months back and I didn't receive any tracking numbers. If you want to get it fast and with a tracking number then DHL express is definitely suggested , Its a little bit expensive but worth it If you really need the product shipped fast .

I am considering ordering a debit card, but I have a question:
What happens when the card is involved in a pre-authorization? It's quite frequent with gas stations or car rentals for example.
Say:
* $300 is pre-authorized on the card.
* In the end only $75 is debited.

It has already been reported before that the SMS system is a little bit buggy sometimes. I suggest using the Google Authenticator option as Its easier and you are sure that the code will get generated unlike SMS. OP also didn't connect since March, I doubt you will get an answer, this thread seems abandoned.

The same thing that will happen If any other exchange turns off their server, you lose your coins. I don't see why you would think for such a scenario though. Do the trades that you need done and withdraw your funds somewhere where you control your private keys to know you are safe for sure.

I provide support for some older members of the Bitcoin community on a voluntary basis.

Recently 2 folk reached out to me because they are having major trouble with Coinsbank verification.

These guys (a woman in her late 70's and a guy in his mid 80's) signed up at CoinsBank to get a Debit Card over a month ago.

They did pretty well - and ordered a Debit card which they received and worked fine.
Then they received a mssg from CB saying the card they just ordered would not be supported beyond 15 Oct - so they successfully ordered new cards as instructed by Coinsbank.  They are still waiting on these to be delivered.

Problem is - they are both stuck at Level 2 Account Verification and Level 1 Debit Card Verification now for about 1 month.  The woman tells me its over 20 days since support have replied to any questions.

As far as I can tell - they have supplied everything for Level 3 and 4 Verification - but nothing is happening with their verification status. Coinsbank Support is not answering their questions now for several weeks?

Is there some holdup with verification at present due to the swap of Card suppliers - or are they just plain unlucky?

I can get and DM you their account ID's if you are willing to follow this up for them.

I believe they stopped giving MasterCard the day they rebranded to CoinsBank (from Bit-x) so you will only receive a Visa card whether It's physical or virtual and you can check the small size text on bottom of their page for more info about the card issuer.

What issue have they fixed for you? I am also outside of the European zone and I wonder what are the options for me as I chose Coinsbank as the main wallet for cypto.

I know like it looks when a guy with 0 messages posts something, this is not even like my first experience with crypto-scamming, but i think that this deserves to be known bc this exchange is on coinmarketcap. Btw they listed exrates.me too which is also shady af.

Anyway, the point is that CoinsBank finally decided to become a full-time fraud i guess, the trading history and all volumes are fake, you can't actually trade because when you place an order in spread the exchange paralyses completely and nothing happens above (or below) your price range because its trade-simulating bot just can't sell them coins cheaper than the lowest ask. So the only option is to sell or buy at the market prices, but you can't do anything else with your freshly exchanged coins because if you just touched the fiat then you should verify your account, it takes forever without any indication of progress, the support is just non-existent and you can't contact anyone just to know at least that somebody runs this "scam-ex".

I only hope that this will help to delist this scamfest from coinmarketcap and keep it away from peoples, somewhere in the land of HYIPs and bitcoin doublers. Getting back my 2.4 LTC would be nice too, if so guy from their support won't contact me i'll just file for a chargeback with an official accusation of scamming.

Coinsbank.com is a scam. I tried withdrawing money from it and after a day it said on the site that the transaction was complete. After a few days the money stil wasnt on my bank account so i opened a ticket, first reply after a day from coinsbank.com support was that everything is ok, that the money was sent to my bank, then i asked them for the transacton details (SWIFT transaction confirmation) and after a few reminders from me after one week there still is no feedback from them. Total communications blackout on the web. The phone waiting line goes on infinitely.

Beware, coinsbank is a scam. I just wish i googled and found this topic before. Another life lesson learned.

After contacting their social media accounts and a few more days of waiting in uncertainty i finally got my money. So it looks they are not scam after all, but the response time and support is horrible, so i don't plan to use them anymore and could not recommend them to anyone.

In the fees section they say " crypto withdraw require no verification if no balance on fiat accounts ". Since the verification takes ages, i decided to buy crypto with all my balance then to withdraw it. I still cant, they say i need tier 3 verification. I have 0 USD 0 EUR 0 GBP ...
Someone can help me ?

Coinsbank a Universal SCAM solution. Let me present my story, after examining my account this morning.

Trade III and IV occurred in December 2017. And it was a result of deposit of additional funds to the CoinBank.
January and February they charged all my deposit holdings for inactivity.
In year 2017 and 2018 they did not charged my account for inactivity. Now it is zero BTC on my account. They started to make this charge from the beginning of year 2019.
I did not received any notification regarding future charges.

I strictly recommend to check your funds in CoinsBank.
There is no guaranty that this guys did not put their hands on it without notifications.

Offcourse, Coinsbank cannot be used as a wallet since they may charge all your funds in two month.

Now they have started charging inactivity fee for not providing the service all this years for non-EU users !?

deposit by SEPA arrived after 2 days im LVL 4 Verified + Proof of Income shown them.

they dont wnt to withdrawal my bitcoins to my wallet since +24 hours!  bad to none communication from support.


i will open a complain by a lawyer to the supervisiory authority in estonia.

this platform needs to get some sanctions or even a clap on the ass sincd the trustpilot reviews are below the ground edge!
