Is now a good time to buy BTC and wait it out long term?

Buy now if you're aiming for the long term, but only invest what you can afford and are willing to lose. You could increase your holdings in BTC by trading with various altcoins, but in most cases its akin to gambling.

If Bitcoin really becomes mainstream in several years, it won't matter much if you've bought at $250 or $450 ...

i think that you should definitely top up your bitcoins right now and not wait for lower prices because the price might even not fall to lower numbers than it is actually right now

also if you will buy right now you will definitely make a lot of money after sometime because bitcoin block reward halving is incoming and it will surely push the price up

I would buy them now because the price itself is very good right now if you ask me 400 dollar is not much if you compare it with the upcoming events.
I think there is a good chance the bitcoin is gonna rise to a higher amount so buying now would be good.

i dont know about you but im topping up my bitcoins from time to time right now with the spare money i have every month because i believe i can make even more with bitcoins

we will never see lower prices than we have right now thus its the only chance to buy your bitcoins for such small prices like right now, i hope my predictions about the price are correct

Personally I'd wait for some sort of drop before buying back in.  Buy when there's blood in the streets, as that's when everybody else will be trying to get rid of theirs when it's not really a good idea to.

The bigger the drop the better, just don't freak out if it keeps going down after you buy in.  If you're in it for the long term you would have experienced the whole thing anyway ;)

do not do the same mistake, bitcoin is here to stay, 400 look very solid to me i'm expecting another increase, toward 600-700 at least, with the next pump

the bigger valueof the bitcoin , the better to buy for it but since we dont know when or how it will increase. If you think it is enough or worth to buy then go for it.   ;D haha

if you ask my there will be a time in a couple of months that you are going to regret not buying at $420 because the price by that time is at least $600-$700 or even more.
and even if there is a super slow rise in 1-2 months the price will surely be above $500

Now is in my opinion not the best time to time to buy bitcoins. But I do not know when the price is going down again so if you have to money to spend you can buy some coins.

Waiting doesn't seem a good option at all in my eyes when it comes to buying Bitcoins, as it is for sure that we are actually going to see some spike, at least till $700 and which means you will easily double your coins just for hodling them...

Yes, I think you have to buy now, the halving is coming in a few months and the price will no longer go back to lower but will continue to rise up, so if you buy today it will be at lower price than tomorrow.

the price is stable right now and in the past months lower prices has been tested, it went below $400 and it was proven that it can not last long below that price and has a tendency towards going up. and i am sure this way is going to continue this way.

Lower price than this in near future ??? ::) ::) that is unlikely to happen. I don't think price will go more deeper than 400$ mark this year as price is trending up before halving.

I think you should wait for some little drop, even just by a few bucks and then buy at that time so you have, even just a little, a sure profit. However I also recommend you buy as soon as you can because we are expecting the bitcoin prices to increase at the time of halving.

with the current price $423-$425 i think you must be wait till the prices a bit drop because if you buy now i'm afraid you will be loss
because sometimes on weekend the prices drop to $420 below

As what most mentioned above, perhaps wait the price drop a lil bit, buy it during june-aug, wait till december when everyone is spending money on trips, advertising, then there the price raises IMO :P

For long term I think is adequate to buy now. For more short term I would wait for a sub 420$ price, which is likely to be produced sooner or later.

I think it's a great time to buy a bitcoin before halving, and do not menuggu prices down, because maybe you will never develop if waiting for prices to fall, because maybe it will happen in a long time still.

Yeah, it is the time to buy bitcoin, no matter where the price go (Up or Down) as the coming future is going for a permanent rise up and so if at any cost you buy bitcoin, your investment will profit you.

it's not worth waiting for the price to go down a few bucks. just buy today and make sure you have some money left that you can use to buy when the price drops significantly below your previous buying price. that way you can benefit from the price that goes lower.

It's kinda funny, cause everyone (in this forum at least) appears to be really bullish about the bitcoin price.
With those kind of expectations, you'd expect the price to naturally boom. Yet it hasn't (not yet anyway).

Best time to buy Bitcoin was when the price was still below $400 not so long ago. Right now is just a fair price if you are planning to enter the market. It's 50/50 I say.

if you believe with  buying bitcoin will give you a profit, why should wait until prices are lower than at this time because who know the condition of your finances it's yourself and who know how much profit you want it's yourself.

How much will you wait? Did you have knowledge about bitcoin pricing and did you heard abut the coming future of bitcoin? Bitcoin now for about some years is not going to down so buy and start working with it, it will profit you for sure.

but there is no time for would'a could'a should'a thinking, so you should hurry up and buy if you don't want to regret this day in a couple of weeks and kick yourself for losing the golden opportunity to buy cheap.

Too early? I think you mean too late to buy and not worth to sell at current prices. People had enough time to buy when the price was sitting under $300 for quite some time and they are now asking whether to buy or not......

I assumed that they just started in bitcoin industry and we can disregard what has happened in the past price of bitcoin that's why I said it's still too early. Although both too early and too late means to not buy right now, thank you for making my sentence right.

If you are waiting for a price drop at a moment then I think you are wasting your time as price will go higher in coming months due to halving, so this is the right time to buy.

Yes that's correct, If they sell now they will not be getting enough profits on it, and most of the people are busy in buying at a moment as price seems to be not too high.

i personally think the time to seriously panic buy was mid jan when the price was 360ish.
still, afaik, the price will only keep going up until way after the halving; it will adjust once that's past but there's months left till we get there;

Yes if you are planning to buy hoping that price will drop in next couple of weeks then I don't think that gonna happen, its better to buy with the current price, as you can expect higher value in future.

Yeah as you told the smart decision means you have to bought it on January, but now it is not too late, and don't delay because price may increase day by day, you can get high benefits during halving.

Buy now and enjoy higher profits later, and that is the best thing to do at a moment, as I feel the price is too good to buy some coins and hold it for the future, and if you are satisfied with the value at halving then sell it without any hesitation.

i think you shouldnt wait for lower prices as they might not ever happen right now when people will start buying their bitcoins like crazy before the block reward halving event

I think you can now better buy because the price is very good and the future is also very good from the bitcoin itself, I think its gonna be a very good year for the bitcoin so buying now is good.

Most likely the bitcoin is gonna rise soon or later, so I should consider it to buy them now because right now the price is okay and not very high.
If you buy them now there is a good chance you will also make more profit in the future( at the end of this year because of the halving).

I tried coinbase, but they ate one of my payments without processing the transaction so I'm not putting any more money in there until I at least get some response from them.

No more waiting, just make it at the earliest. The price has started to rise from a long time stable price. So waiting for a lower price never profits you. Buying now might profit you as the halving is expected to give a peak rise on halving.

Yes buying right now will give us profit later on and we should not wait for a lower price now because i think there wont be any and we will continue to go upwards until the halving has arrive.

If you are planning to keep your coins after buying or you want to go a long way with bitcoin, better buy now, but, if you are into profit in a short term, then wait for the price to dip and buy your coins...

bitcoin price has already gone up about 10-20 dollars from the time this topic has started.
as i have always said, right now bitcoin is cheap and this is going to change very soon and anybody who misses this chance is going to regret it.

yeah, that is what usually happens in crypto markets, you wait around because you are greedy for a lower price to buy and then you miss out and get left behind just waiting for dip that will never come.

Not sure whether price will fall or not in coming years, but I think this is the best price to buy only because of halving coming in few months, so we can see better price then current price.

I think the price around $430 is good to buy. When the halving comes, the price could double to $800.

Who has planned to buy bitcoins and haven't bought yet then it is not late to buy, the waiting time i think that will worth, most of us think that the price will be higher than it is now.

It all depends on what the investment plan of that person is. If he plans to buy for the short term, then I will advice that person to wait with buying. If he plans to buy for the long term, then I will advice that person to buy at the current price. All because I believe the long term will bring more than decent growth.

don't wait it out just purchase on the exchange channel to hope you find someone that selling for under preev rate as there are some people who do that but not by much.

Well buying bitcoins for short terms i don't think that it is a potential to get any profit because the price changes so often, it can be profit if the amount is 10BTC+ when the price changes +$10 then there is a profit of $100 in a short period of time.

I believe the price of around $440 is already low. If we do not buy now, we have to pay much higher price later.

The price is constantly going up with some downward fluctuations, I've heard that the price will reach 450$ before the week ends. Better buy now then sell it later. :)

Just bought a small amount and earned an even smaller amount trading shitty altcoins today.  Have a good feeling about the direction of the price, so I'm saving it all.

That's a good strategy with altcoins. Now rather than waiting it's better to earn even a small amount possible with different methods as the price is increasing.

It will be better if you are buying now around this time because the price will not reduce soon and the chance is high that you can have some profit in the future.

Yes, I think if after that someone is going to wait for lower price then he should have to wait for years, as no one knows that after how many years will the price come down again, just like 2013 where when the price raised it then came back after two years.

People keep saying right now is a good moment to buy, but they still keep waiting. These people mostly end up buying at a significant premium compared to the price right now. People should stop with waiting and start buying. Otherwise they will keep missing the Bitcoin train.

People who wants to make quick profits always loves pumps and dumps so that they can take advantage of it, normal users always wants stability in bitcoin.

The most recent pump and dump is very quick. The price dropped from $470 to $435 within a day.

The BTC will not going down and you can also see that the value keeps stable for a long time so that is already quite bad but it will rise soon and that should be perfect.
So it wont be no that bad if you are making an investment now and just wait for a higher value.

You never know that from before because there are a lot of people that is now still waiting for a nice value so they can sell it with a huge profit which is not possible for them.

As it is widely predicted that the price will rise up in coming months after block halving, so it is obviously a good chance to earn some profit if someone can afford to buy.

I will advise you to create your own opinion about future price of bitcoin. All advises here are good, every prediction have some chance to come true. On which price will you bet you decide alone.
Why I say you that, to many different opinions and predictions..And in the fact nobody knows the real truth. We all can just hope for the best, and to try to make best possible prediction.
In many ways all this remind on gambling. So calculate odd`s, see how much is your bankroll, check what other people talking and only then decide what you will do and where will you invest.

i htink that right now is the best time to top up as much bitcoins as possible in order not to have a lack later when the price will start growing a lot in the next few months in my opinion

im buying as much bitcoins as possible at the moment in order to make a lot of money in the near future, i wish i became a billionaire in the future even though it is really hard

If the price of bitcoin skyrockets in  coming years then you can surely become a billionaire with it but for that you also need to hold good volume of coins.

That is my plan to hold as many coin as possible. My first target is to join the 1 million club. I will own 21 bitcoin.
