DDoS for supporting NovaScam, they got a bribe of 110k novascams to include the exchange. Has destroyed it now, but the damage has already being done.

Evidence of this? or just speculation?

Alt cryptography section of the forums :)

Lots of drama there.

It seems people don't support them adding the new coin as its broken and they don't support other similar coins is what I could gather?

yup it is down.

I'm not sure if this related to the NVC/BTC exchange being added.

But if it is, I would remove it if I were btc-e.

That exchange (NVC/BTC) is purely a scam.

No prior public announcement of NVC launching except to a small group of Russians on one of the subforums.

110k (at least) premine that was basically a BRIBE to get btc-e to put up the coin exchange.

The whole thing is shady as fuck.

Even the fact that the "price" is 0.005+ which is about twice the price of litecoin despite being a 2 week old chain is retarded. Obviously manipulation of the few large holders of the coin are trying to sell at INSANE prices.

BEWARE, NOVACOIN IS A SCAM AND IS A BLOCKCHAIN BASED OFF OF BROKEN PPC SOURCE CODE WHICH IS CENTRALIZED THROUGH CHECKPOINTING MECHANISM CONTROLED BY BALTHAZAR.

why aren't they ddos resistant by now

can't it just slow down access for each user logged in to take a few seconds so it would at least load slow when all this traffic is here or would the page still show unavailable
