Title: Spamming
Post by: jacee on May 06, 2016, 04:35:28 PM
I came accross this guy who were spamming the auction with his bids which are not even valid.
Clearly he is trying to gain all his potential activities.

Here's the profile:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=558237

Are these kinds of spams worthy of being negged or banned? I mean they are not wearing any signature so I am not sure but his posts are cleary spams.

Trust is just a guideline,if you want to go after people you have all the right to go after people.
One thing I have to say though before you go full on spam busting is this...
Some people have learning disabilities or had a rough go in life and did not get a education that a lot of us take for granted.
Worked with a guy that I convinced to join a forum and his spelling was aweful and people thought he was not all their and he stopped posting. So he was robbed of learning from this forum and felt judged. Now think how many other people are in that same boat that could actually learn a ton from people if we where not so critical of one another.

This business with the accounts personally should only be addressed if its cut and dry and thats up to you how clear that may be.
Trust as I stated earlier is for you and people that think the same way as you.

It's not ok to spam rubbish as fast as you can just to rank up, but banned him for copying and pasting along with another account. Probably bought just trying to collect potential activity.

you see, this is what I hate with yobit, the posters that dont know english post garbage and the ones that do post a different type of garbage, in reading, it is obvious that your post is not genuine, it is long because you want it to look constructive and thats about it

Ask him yourself why he is doing it? I dont know but maybe he doesnt realize what he is doing and is totally obvious to the account sales and activity.

Gonna have a hard time doing that, last time I checked banned accounts were neither allowed to post, nor to write PMs.

It's not ok to spam rubbish as fast as you can just to rank up, but banned him for copying and pasting along with another account.

Oh, he knows, just have a look at the posts.

Are these kinds of spams worthy of being negged or banned?
For part 2, take the response from hilarious.

For the first part, it's up to you how you use the trust system, and you're free to do it the way you think it's right.
Whilst there are guidlines for how to use it, when you think a feedback is due, you can leave one as you like.
However, I'd generally advice against leaving negative trust over posts/post quality.

Mining speculation a thread I normally enjoy was a pain to read today due to account farming.

I believe last active date kinda ties them together:
1) Efficiency V  https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=836939 - Last Active:    Today at 07:30:41 PM
2) Das https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=812251 - Last Active:    Today at 07:32:44 PM
3) Dinki https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=812256 - Last Active:    Today at 07:34:52 PM
4) Baby Rage https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=837506 - Last Active:    Today at 07:56:09 PM (believe a little extra time due to starting spammer starting a new account)

But sure makes it a pain to read hen so many threads show up as new from someone trying to farm accounts. 1-3 tied together for sure, I think 4 to but I could be wrong.

I am deemed insincere based on your perception or you know something that I do not? This thread is about spam and there is not mention of Yobit till you decided to address a personal issue you seem to have with my post but used my signature to attack it.
Sadly I do not think you have a leg to stand on this attempt to smear me and Yobit because I was on topic and you went sideways.

===============================================================================

Its not spam, signatures or Investor threads you people dislike, its that you feel that you can judge people based on these aspects.
What you really are saying when you take issue with this is you hate poor people and have a lean to being racist, otherwise you should be able to float past the garbage threads you deem unbearable and contribute on your own. Lead by example as they say but instead meta is the place where people continually want to strip a aspect away because they think it will serve the majority.
Does this not sound like anything in the real world? Maybe the government!

This bitcoin forum Utopia you guys keep dreaming of is just a way to eliminate more folks from participating. Control and they will come? Is that the idea because you guys are not cleaning up bitcoins image by making this into some kind of cult of good.

This whole issue with language does not fit, mainly because there are how many sub forums committed to different languages?
Eliminate them if you want better posts and make it clear that English is required because people could not make sense of poorly written threads. You know some of them are most likely not even English issues but bots gone awry.

Agree to disagree, I think he has a point.

Pretty sure it indeed is spam and ponzis I dislike. Also, I'm pretty sure judging people based on their actions (and their words) is a fair thing to do.

What you really are saying when you take issue with this is you hate poor people and have a lean to being racist
I don't care where you're from, might it be Mars (s/o to Laudas cat).
When you spam, that's the thing I care about, same goes for scammers/ponzi promoters.

otherwise you should be able to float past the garbage threads you deem unbearable and contribute on your own.
Total bullshit, why should I have to cope up with tons of garbage, that is not bringing any benefit at all to this forum/its users?

Does this not sound like anything in the real world? Maybe the government!

We could also call it administration/moderation, couldn't we? Anywhere you've heard those two things already? Maybe over here?

Control and they will come? Is that the idea because you guys are not cleaning up bitcoins image by making this into some kind of cult of good.

So you'd rather have the 'image' of bitcoin(talk) be tied to bullshit users posting bullshit replies full of bullshit, for the sake of being 'uncontrolled'?

This whole issue with language does not fit, mainly because there are how many sub forums committed to different languages?

And if I go into one of those local boards, typing my posts via google translate or some other crappy translator, speaking their language barely to none,
don't you think they will kick my ass sooner than I can say 'buttcoin'?

Eliminate them if you want better posts and make it clear that English is required because people could not make sense of poorly written threads.
English is required for the english section as is russian for the russian and croatian for the croatioan.
What's so hard to understand about this?

Yeah well, the suckers in the yobit campaign aren't the only ones who post utter garbage--other campaigns have spammers and broken English writers who are just as bad if not worse.  And I know you think I'm a low-quality poster because you at one time said as much on my trust page, but I'm doing exactly what I was doing for most of 2015 before I joined yobit's campaign.  Some posts are better than others, but my English for damn sure isn't broken.

@Luptin

The "===" signifies I am addressing the person not the forum that I quoted,I know thats not always clear.
Going to attempt to talk like you and the mods, how you sparse and chop up what people say,bet I fail.

I am deemed insincere based on your perception or you know something that I do not? This thread is about spam and there is not mention of Yobit till you decided to address a personal issue you seem to have with my post but used my signature to attack it.
This is about spamming, YoBit and Spamming go together every second time the spam issue comes up.
This issue was a personal direction and I addressed it as such,I think he singled me out due to my signature and that is wrong.

Sadly I do not think you have a leg to stand on this attempt to smear me and Yobit because I was on topic and you went sideways.
Agree to disagree, I think he has a point.

You agree that I am spamming? That was his point based on being insincere and wearing signature as far as I can read.

Its not spam, signatures or Investor threads you people dislike, its that you feel that you can judge people based on these aspects.
Pretty sure it indeed is spam and ponzis I dislike. Also, I'm pretty sure judging people based on their actions (and their words) is a fair thing to do.
Yes but you also have a history of being black and white with little room for gray/grey. If you judge some one by their words its best to ask for clarification before you take it to heart. But maybe you feel no need for that.

What you really are saying when you take issue with this is you hate poor people and have a lean to being racist
I don't care where you're from, might it be Mars (s/o to Laudas cat).
When you spam, that's the thing I care about, same goes for scammers/ponzi promoters.

Its a difference in how you view the world and we ran down this earlier in the year and will just leave it at that because neither of us is changing how we view the world.

otherwise you should be able to float past the garbage threads you deem unbearable and contribute on your own.
Total bullshit, why should I have to cope up with tons of garbage, that is not bringing any benefit at all to this forum/its users?

Tons I stated earlier that it should be clear that it is spam,if not give the person the benefit of the doubt. Do not hunt them, but if you see it repeatedly from a user act on it. Not against that but I think some view spam as a way to label those people they have issues with or their dislike of signatures. I know one member that is responsible for quite a lot of the spam and I think others do as well but its already being looked at.

Does this not sound like anything in the real world? Maybe the government!

We could also call it administration/moderation, couldn't we? Anywhere you've heard those two things already? Maybe over here?

Not really you are creating the boundaries and limitations that you personally see fit and it may not be what every one wants.
The investor thread I presume is quite active,I do not have a need to go into it like others do not go into Politics due to the racist or biblical propaganda. We can draw our own lines, instead of having them dictated to us. But again we differ on this view.

If you read my earlier thread I talked about a friends experience and I would like to see a place for people that are having slight handicaps to be able to learn and be part of the community. Its easy to cast people off with mental health issues, learning disabilities or other various impacting issues but this is not how I view bitcoin. Another area we disagree as you stated in another thread that those people are no longer here that believed bitcoin was creating a new world.

Yes..But why are you in their sub forums when the majority of the forum is English. Thought this would be one area where you would agree with me because I see it very black and white. Have the sub forums, allow those that are practicing English a chance or No sub forums and no chance with obvious second language issue posts.

Eliminate them if you want better posts and make it clear that English is required because people could not make sense of poorly written threads.
English is required for the english section as is russian for the russian and croatian for the croatioan.
What's so hard to understand about this?

Its not clear as I do not see it in requirements that I noticed, might be wrong. Watching Yobit I saw a lot of English issue members that have been kicked lately but before that they where welcome to post. So addressing this would go a long way.

One more thing about judging some one by what they write, you can sometimes get lost with your own perceptions and interpretations
and often things get lost if you can not read between the lines. Meaning you may be missing information that would have brought you to a totally different ending.

I failed at figuring out how to play chop chop correctly, sorry for consfusion on this. Bolded what I said to clear it up.

also, the guy above is autistic

If you can not show evidence of me being a spammer then I would like a apology for using me to make a point.
Seriously will leave the signature tonight if you think I am on the same level as those people kicked from the campaign or even on par with those in the yobit spammer thread.
Besides my recent loan activity I honestly put effort into my posts and proving me to be a spammer would show me I am not wanted here. Clear cut prove you are not smearing me!
Goes for Luptin as well.
==================================
edit:

Since you accused me I thought I would be looking at some one that wrote longer and detailed responses. Its really crazy to me that I can be slandered against by two members I would not have expected. Truly baffled that you guys hate signatures so much you are willing to attack anyone wearing one.

Yes it is. Please do not open up new threads when you identify a spammer. This causes unnecessary clutter. You should either use the 'Report to moderator' feature or PM a moderator directly.
