Title: The Liberty Portal - iOS app for Libertarianism and Austrian economics.
Post by: MatthewLM on June 10, 2011, 06:42:33 PM
Hello.

I have developed an app for iOS which has been designed for those that love individual freedoms and free markets.

The app shows article and video feeds. It has a chat feature for the #mises and #uklibertarian IRC channels. You can view like-minded individuals on a map and optionally share your location.

Feeds are currently from theuklibertarian.com, the Ludwig von Mises Institute (mises.org) and the Cato Institute (cato.org). There are videos from the Mises Media, Cato Institute and Freedomain Radio youtube channels. More feeds are to come with updates.

It's completely free, so you have nothing to lose. View and then download it here. (http://itunes.apple.com/app/the-liberty-portal/id439410520)

Feel free to like and share the facebook page -> Click. (http://www.facebook.com/pages/The-Liberty-Portal-iOS-app/136734626401315)

Regards,

Matthew M.

Sweet!  It's on my iPad now.  I sent you a small BTC donation to show my support and appreciation.  The world's first libertarian app?

Thanks, I'll finally get to see that transaction if bitcoin starts updating some time or another.

I know Cato have done their own app.

I'll get the second version up some time soon with more feeds.

I think people exaggerate things a little bit.

It was a wedding present, and I've jail-broken it. Don't be a hater.  :)

Wow, just read your reply.  Did that donation never come through?  I wonder if I sent it to the wrong address or something.

Well, I just tried again, copy and pasting the address from your signature.  It's a small donation because I can't afford much, but hopefully it will help reward you for your time and labor in creating the app.  Let me know if you get it.

It appears I did get the donation in the end so thanks again.

The app has been updated with feeds from The Adam Smith Institute and Bureaucrash.

I have also solved some issues.

Hope people enjoy the update.
