This is the discussion thread for the Tipster Competition (sponsored by Betking.io). Please use this thread to discuss the competition, comment the bets others make, explain your bets or the tactics you use, or just to clear any doubts you may have about the rules.

I'm not related with this site. I just help them with the competition and look at your registration.

1. Make a post following this format to enroll in the competition:
 
2. Minimum bankroll: 100mBTC.

3. Registration only available to Jr. Member and above, or newbies upon invitation.

4. You can reset your ROI% during the first two weeks.
To do so, you must pay a fee of at least 10mBTC. PM us, and we will explain how to do this.
This can be done only once. (one time for each account, see Multi Entry rule bellow)

5. Multi Entry - Each player can enter up to 3 times.
(Note: each entry will be treated as a unique account, meaning that all rules apply (number of bets, etc) and that you can win a prize with every entry (meaning up to 3 prizes).


1. All bets must be made in betking.io (as they are your sponsor)

2. You should always post your bets in this thread after you placed your bet in betking.io (post betslip link shown on your betslip on betking.io)

3. When making bets, Bets not made this way will not count for the competition.

4. For the purpose of this competition the max bet stake is capped 5% of your current bankroll.
Every bet above that value will be capped to 5%.

4.1  Minimum bet stake: 2% of current bankroll. All bets below this amount will not count for the competition.

4.2 You’ll be elegible to take prizes only if your total bet wagered will be higher than 0.1 BTC.

5. For the purpose of this competition the max odds is capped @50. Every bet above that odd, will reflect changes in the leaderboard as it was won @50.

6. You can not have "duplicate" bets even if they are made at diferent odds. If you do so, we will only count the first one.

7. The winner will be the one with the better ROI % at the end of the competition

8. If there will not be 20 users at least in this competition, it will be closed.

I think rule number 8 will not be made. So I have doubts if I actually should participate.

We might lower that depending on popularity over the next few days.

I also see that there are no live bets, and only ML.
Not over/under and goalscorer and many more, I miss those things.

This is because your competition is almost the same as the directbet one and it has too much rules. The rule of the minium users bothers me and stops me from gambling, of course there is many interest, but with this rules no one is going to bother. My advice is to change the rules people have the feeling they can win and then gamblers will come. Also more betting options must be available.

There has to be some rules.
If I don't state minimum users then I'd probably get one person betting once in the whole competition or some way for some bad forum member to take advantage. I've had that many times in the past 3 years.

The minimum has been lowered to 20 which isn't really that many is it? The dice competition I'm running has had 80 players so far.

I currently only support football match betting which is the most popular type of betting.
I was using that to see what peoples interest is in sports betting. If I don't have much betting happening with the most popular type then adding other sports and markets won't help much.

I mean that the sport betting options that u have on soccer are very limited, only decide the winner.
Not who is going to score, half time, europa and champions league winner.

Yes agree. But as I mentioned that betting on the winner in soccer is the most popular bet type on any sportsbook. So if I wasn't seeing much action on that I don't see adding other options driving much traffic.

I will be adding these in future but while the volume is low other parts of the site unfortunately get more priority.

Yes, that is very logical. I think DirectBet.eu has dominated the bitcoin sportsbook market.
You can change that though by creating cool give aways and competitions like this. Also the advertising on bitcointalk is a smart move. How long is your site around now?

The site is over 3 years old. It's one of the most trusted Bitcoin gambling sites with 3760 Bitcoin invested in crowdfunded bankroll.
We only just added sports though.

Maybe because this is new, people just confused with how this contest runs. This has several differences of Directbet like the option.

I think that is better that Gianluca continue to manage promotion because he organized it and he a good manager, also he invite me and i join because of him to compete here.. He really do his job very very well.. I am sorry coz they baned him but he will back for sure. So my advice to BetKing.io - dont find another guy.

I also found and registered to this competition by an invitation from Gianluca. I see his promotions and his great work  as a big advantage to whole sports betting section in this forum.

Gianluca already fits best for the job. The ban only lasts for a couple of days anyway so I think in the meantime you can manage this promotion while we wait for gianluca to come back.
I'm actually interested in joining this but unfortunately I know nothing about soccer so yea.

I've forgot to post the bet before the beginning of the event. Can I do it now or is it too late ?

Hi sorry but that would be too late as anyone could start cheating by doing that.

Why ? Since the best was made a lot before the start of the event ? I can show you a screenshot that it was my only bet made and that I'm not looking to hide losing bets.

To stop people who have been placing bets on every outcome and only posting their wins after the event or going back and editing posts.

Ok, I understand. I told that I can post a screenshot, proving that it is my only bet, but you're the boss.

It is unfortunate that I have to announce that the competition will be cancelled.

The minimum amount of players was 35 and then moved down to 20 but checking the bet histories only 11 people have even placed a bet and a couple of them only once.

On top of that a couple of users have been editing posts and or posting winning bets after the events.

There were a couple of players who followed the rules and placed a number of bets and I will pm them to offer a consolation prize in the next couple of days.

Sorry again for this but it had to be done.

I'll offer a better promo in future.
