Russia plans to create national cryptocurrency
The Ministry of Finance together with regulators and banks are discussing the idea of minting Russia’s own state-controlled cryptocurrency. Its main difference from bitcoin and the likes would be centralised issuance.

Again  ???  This is maybe the third article about Russia creating their own crypto in the last 6 months.  They are moving slowly lol.  Stay tuned, next week they will discuss banning it again like they have 20 times in the last year.

I heard this news was in almost every russian mainstream media.
Good commercial for crypto currencies. Let them push it to the public awareness I say.Their scrappy version of a russian FEDcoin will fail and people will find out what the real coin is to go for. ;)

I wonder if Russians someday will really create digital ruble what will happen to other cryptocurrencies in Russia?
My guess, based on the line of politics Krmlin is showing is every other crypto beside RubleCoin will banned.

Russia has been going nuts when it comes to crypto currencies and Bitcoin. One day they seem to be quite open to Bitcoin and later they want to put people in prison for using Bitcoin. I take all Russia crypto news with a truckload of salt.

We all know what happened to the Rouble over the last 2 years.
That definitely won't inspire confidence among common people about the government's ability to manage a cryptocurrency.

Another intranet coin...
Maybe just good to create the local infrastructure and later people only want the real inter coin.
