Title: [2016-05-30] Kaspersky Labs: Bitcoin Involved in 3% of All Online Scams
Post by: jdebunt on May 30, 2016, 01:51:05 PM
Contrary to what most people believe, Bitcoin is not a big part of these financial scams, though. Albeit 3% of survey respondents indicated they had lost Bitcoin funds in the process, the primary culprit were online scams or fraud, followed by data leakage. Additionally, losing funds through a financial organization ranks higher than Bitcoin losses as well.

You would not say this, if you look at the shill reporting being done to discredit Bitcoin. These shills jump on the smallest hack or scam and blow it out of proportion to put Bitcoin in a bad light. Do we

see every hack or phishing attack of organizations in the fiat scene being splashed in the media.... No... but when someone hack a small service in Bitcoin.. Everyone posts something online about it.

Just recently a bank lost R300 million ZAR ---> http://www.bandwidthblog.com/2016/05/23/standard-bank-scam/ and it hardly made any headlines in the media.  ::) ::) ::)

" While the number of transactions or persons involved is yet to be determined, sources have alleged that over 100 people are indicated to have been involved in over 14,000 transactions that saw

the use of 1,600 credit cards. "

Poor USD!!!  ;D

Come on, let's not forget other currencies like EUR, GBP, etc.
So they split the cake together with the United States Dollar.
