Title: BITINSTANT - BACKLOGGED
Post by: RageCores on March 06, 2013, 05:59:24 PM
EDIT: Just got a PM from someone claiming to be staff, they are just VERY behind... Please be patient.

Hello,

With the alarming amount of complaints that have raised today that money has halted to move through their system. And it seems that people from these forums are not getting any kind of response from them.

WARNING to not use them until they respond, as they may have been compromised.

Yeah, I feel like they'd announce that they were compromised to prevent more losses...

Yeah, I have a very small amount waiting, but I would hate to see people get hit with something.... It just seems that there are more people posting here reporting that transactions have stopped since last night.

Don't Panic

BitInstant will look after everyone and make everything right, as they always do when something goes wrong.

Yeah, even though it's a major break in 12k is peanuts. Maybe bitinstant is slowing things down a bit while they sort out the theft?

Its not a major break in, somebody hijacked their domain, it happens all the time, this actually happened to Google not too long ago, many people seem to think their server was hacked, this is not the case.

I'm sure they're pretty busy at the moment making sure this doesn't happen again and are probably not answering as many support requests as they normally do.

Bull.  I got a response yesterday.  My problem was cleared up, and my order was handled well within in hour.  Superb transaction.

Well, I meant it's major in that money was actually stolen. Not in terms of sophistication. Serious break in may be better.
