people will just lose more faith in fiat money than every before. i think that smart people will look for an alternative such as bitcoin to store their money away to protect their wealth. people are sick and tired of all this nonsense. whatever is happening, it's always the people that get to suffer. why waiting while you can put your fiat into bitcoin right now? don't waste more time and start doing it now!!

I dont think so. If Yes, only UP. but so, so slightly.
Most likely, not at once and all together but one by one EU will crush under its own weight.
 
One country wont give that much market jump, but two or three for sure, more people would be willing
to diversify their savings in case of something bad.

already most of investors dont trust central banks,brexit could give the reason to sell off on markets

Um, why? The prime reasons people are thinking 'out' are immigration and sovereignty. I don't think the nature of money has popped up once.

Though there's lots of noise about it, I don't think it'll happen.

It depends on whether Brexit destabalises the world economy - if it does, both gold and bitcoin will rise. If it doesn't the pound may drop a little against the dollar and euro, but not much else will happen.

The prime reasons people want to leave also include EU bureaucracy and trading restrictions, alongside Mission Creep.

The nature of money needn't crop up; it will be debated when the British economy falters after leaving. A credit crisis and subsequent loss of deposits will definitely convince an intelligent nation into some safe alternative, which is BTC, and we do have a lot of capital to bring (consider the effect of smaller economies such as Venezuela and Greece). A faltering economy also impairs the public finances, pushing a country deeper into public debt, which is alleviated either by printing fiat (showing the benefit of a deflationary currency), deposit seizure (same effects as above) or default. The former two would increase the price of BTC; the latter (and the most unlikely) should be neutral.

Not sure, if the Brexit should happen, we will see any movements in the Bitcoin price.
The EU will perish either way, and then we will definitely see an increase of Bitcoin's value.

BREXIT is only a good opportunity for trades to make huge profit. No other effect.

smart people think beyond what the average person sees as a valid reason to vote for "out". the impact on the entire european economy will be even worse than what "experts" haven been saying. the impact on the gbp will be severe as it will receive some heavy beatings. the value of fiat in general is only decreasing. add a brexit on top of that and look what will happen.

British pound is experiencing high volitility due to the uncertainty of Brexit. I don't think anyone even knows the fallout will be. Central planners may try to make an example of Britain if it leaves. I expect Gold, silver and bitcoin will all see their value rise as safe haven way of protecting wealth though. Similar to how Cyprus bail-ins also encouraged more to.

I doubt that brexit will have any affect on bitcoin, i also think any effect it will have on the pound will be minimal as well. all in all the brexit will have 0-no effect.

It will have an effect on most markets, just because things like that do. The very fact, that traders across the world believe in certain financial effects of a Brexit, will ensure that it has some kind of effect.

On the day of the Brexit result, best thing for a trader to do, is just take all bets off the table...especially small time Joes trading Forex.

How many smart people will be voting? It's irrelevant if they're outweighed by the majority who haven't bothered to truly think it through and I think it's safe to say that very few have.

My heart says leave and my head says I don't know. It's tricky when 2 so called experts in economics etc have opposing views.

Au contraire: many hedge funds have contracted out private polling firms so they can decide which way to bet. There was an FT article on it a while ago.

Nevertheless, the immediate effect on BTC will be small: both Britain (within or without the EU) and Europe are crypto-friendly places.

I don't think UK will have the balls to leave Europe, the media will scare them once again about how leaving EU is a disaster.

with smart people i am mainly referring to wealthy people who are looking for a way to put their money into something that isn't going to make their wealth decrease due to this what i see as nonsense drama. wouldn't you choose to secure a part of your wealth just in case this brexit nonsense makes the economy sink even deeper? i would.

The UK is the world capital when it comes to FinTech. £6.6 billion of revenue and 60k employees in the Fintech Sector in 2015. The landscape for FinTech could be shaken in the event of a brexit. Even experts are uncertain as to what could happen to UK businesses, it's not safe to make assumptions for bitcoin based on just that. Not to worry though, even if Britons vote to leave, it's not going to happen in an instant.

I think some polls have shown Remainers to be more apathetic and unlikely to vote than Brexiters, sadly :(

Has there ever been anything approaching an 80% turnout? General elections are rather important and don't get that much. I think the exit fans will be more committed to voting too.

Referenda are far more important than general elections, and generally attract a higher turnout

UK sheep, typical people have no clue what will happen after leaving EU and how to vote. They listen to radio, reading one sided TheSun and watching BBC which selles more horse shit than anyone else.

Uk by leaving EU will most likely get back to the point before EU.
So work will be more worth than now, will be less money in tax bag because most of immigrants will leave due to issues with free movement across EU.
Services worth will naturally go up, there will be less faith in GBP and EUR.

Gov  is silently counting for brexit to scrap HUMAN ACT right and they looking to exchange with british bill of rights. And trust me you dont wont that to happen.

If brexit will happen its not going to happen overnight. you will see probably couple of years to fully walk out.

I don't think it would change much,Britain is using its own currency anyway so the Euro won't be affected.

EUR will be weaken due to lack of trust in EU. GBP stayed and that was the best move UK did by joining UNION. Other countries which chnaged own currency to EUR had:

Price for goods raised to level of eurozone

wages stayed at the same place but in EUR

Poor countries got better but rich countries paid more so obviously they loosing.

If I remember rightly the referendum regarding the alternative vote had a pitiful turnout but I can't say I blame anyone for not giving much of a shit about that.

No, you're quite right; referenda with long-term and unamendable or only slowly amendable outcomes I should say. But nevertheless I think the effects of Brexit are oversold and we won't really need to resort to bitcoin Venezuela/Southern Europe-style

Even tho they dont share same currency, their economies are tied. So i think that possible brexit sure will have impact on everything.
And as far as bitcoin is concerned, it could bring some new money in , but mostely it will end in speculative investment, again.

There isn't any information about it because a) the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) is SEPARATE from the EU and not affected by countries joining or leaving the EU  and b) in order to remove the Human Rights Act the govt has to pass a bill in Parliament, and they don't have the numbers for that, their majority is very small and a number of Tory backbenchers will rebel.

The Remainers are either deliberately spreading FUD or they are confusing the referendum with a general election and genuinely believe that on Brexit the Conservative majority will triple and all sorts of magical bills will suddenly get waived through Parliament.

Do you really believe that person who is second time prime minister , who changed law so they can stay in power for longer and cannot be boooed by others will leave those plans when actively was working to introduce own bill of rights?

And please.... dont tell me about numbers. If goverment want , they will push any bill they want regardles if people like it or not. They will create diversion and then push that so sheep wakes up and is to late. Happen before.

I don't think it will have much of an effect on the bitcoin price, certainly not a negative effect, maybe the price could go up a little.

I don't think much would happen to Bitcoin specifically if Britain was to leave the EU. It would be a slight blow to the EU economic statistics, but I don't think this would force anything one way or the other when it comes to Bitcoin. Britain leaving would maybe make more Eu countries question their membership, and a lot of the countries are already somewhat skeptical of the usefulness of the EU, especially since Germany started taking de-facto control over a lot of choices, so that might show cracks in the future, but there is next to nothing that will happen that will affect Bitcoin negatively in my opinion.

I do not think it will affect for bitcoin price. Well if Britain stays within EU that have better chance to increase bitcoin price because of halving. We will got result three weeks before halving and can decide what will happen. My opinion is hold your bitcoin and lets see....

Polls showing almost a 50/50 giving uncertain outcome, Britain a Net contributor to EU  and second wealthiest nation after Germany. Exit would pile pressure back on central bank and Pigs add in timing of referendum to Halving . Believe this uncertainty can only be a positive factor for  price. Enough for small rise or enough to start having bubble ? we will see only thing i am sure about, this is a good time to be holding Bitcoin  

I don't think UK will do bad on their own. Europe is very unstable lately, and in times of confusion, it's better to go alone. You don't know who will be your allies later on. Being independent from a big continent may be a better option.

For the Scottish Referendum numbers hit 85%. In parts of Scotland it was 92%. I feel turnout for this referendum will be just as high.

i believe there might be an increase in bitcoin price because more people might buy it before the exit though thats just my opinion

Based on what I've read there's a slight majority in favor of leaving right now, depending on who you ask. This is also a very large and important vote, so I would expect at least a 70% turnout for this referendum.

For gentlemand, general elections typically have lower turnouts for reasons such as people staying home because their candidate was out, or they live in a dense area of one or the other type of vote, they realize that, and proceed to stay home.

Watch for Bitcoin to spike to 7 if they leave.
