I am just curios how it started for you....

Did gambling get you into Bitcoin? Or did Bitcoin get you into gambling?

I have been gambling on and off since I turned 18 and that's the legal age for gambling in my country  :D I started to gamble with cash online at first because it is much more convenient and also the promos and first deposit bonuses offer a better incentive than going to an offline betting office. I still place some bets with fiat when I can find far better odds than what the Bitcoin sportsbooks have. All in all Bitcoin didn't get me into gambling, but it gives me more options and a wide variety of online sportsbooks to place my bets on. But I know a lot of people who were introduced to gambling by using Bitcoin.

I used to gamble using fiat with liberty reserve and perfect money. Ever since I got introduced into bitcoin on this forum, I have used bitcoin instead of fiat to gamble. Another advantage in using bitcoin is you do not need to be verified to withdrawal.

Gambling made me know about bitcoin, I was an active fiat poker gambler at 2011-2014. Then I found k8poker when I was searching for alternative poker sites, k8poker was the first bitcoin gambling I played. Since that time I knew and started to learn more about bitcoin.

Bitcoin got me into gambling lol, my first gambling bets were made on satoshidice. at that time i had like .1 btc i lost all of them to satoshidice. :P

Bitcoin did get me into gambling. In real life im not really an addicted gambler. Its just in bitcoin word that im addicted in gambling. Affording to lose like $20-$300 in bitcoin world but in real world i cant afford that its just in bitcoin world as i get this free. So its just fine when i lose that bucks.

One of the reason i used bitcoin is i can use bitcoin to gamble and i can do it in my home, i already into gambling before i knew bitcoin, so i must say "gambling is one of the reason i get to bitcoin"

Just about everyone would have gambled before bitcoin but i had never gambled online using any other currency before btc.

Always set limits when btc betting online, only deposit what you can loose because if you keep going you will eventually loose the lot.

I knew bitcoin a year ago and I know gambling because of bitcoin. At the first, I still not interest about gambling world but when they made some free giveway to attract new bettor and it's proven because it's an effective way to promote gamble world to worldwide

Before Bitcoin I wasn't gambling, but I did it sometimes with my friends playing poker and blackjack. But I wasn't gambling recently, I do not do it anymore with fiat.
When I found Bitcoin, I gambled with some faucets but never deposited any money from my wallet, but I like it, gambling with free money. I gamble with Bitcoin every day.

So, you can say that Bitcoin got me into gambling because I didn't really do it before, except a few times.

well first I used to visit PTC websites ( I was newbie in making money online  ;D ) and I saw many ads for bitcoin faucets so I decided to research more about it and that's how I became a bitcoiner
then I founded that the bitcoin gambling market is really great and can compete with fiat sites , and here I am  :)

I neer trie gambling with money before I get to start using bitcoin so I will say that bitcoin get me in to gambling. I think there is no point in gambling with money in real life before but then I realized that somehow gambling is quite entertaining and it can even give easy money if you know how to play right.

It is neither of the two. I have been a sports bettor for a decade before bitcoin was invented, and the reason I discovered bitcoin has nothing to do with gambling.

I was not interested in gambling before I found about bitcoin. With bitcoin it is easy to bet. I don't want to go out, I don't need to register and tell anyone my Credit Card number and ID.
With bitcoin gambling is easy. In my case Bitcoin -> Gambling.

i had a bit of gambling before bitcoin but after i started using bitcoin i started to gamble more often then before so i think bitcoin introduced me more to gambling

I moved to the US and started playing poker online for fun. This was after the whole boom/bust. Eventually found the only real games I could play involved some funny currency called bitcoin. I actually played for a long time without bothering to figure out what btc was. I would just follow some chat in the chat room and pick up a few things. Eventually i won enough that I needed to figure out how to sell them. One thing led to another, and here I am, collecting dust wherever I can. Btw, now I don't sell. :-)

I am sure for most people they got into gambling with Bitcoin. Not getting into bitcoin from bitcoin gambling.

There were many different ways to gamble online before Bitcoin.

Bitcoin first later gambling because gambling really is big now and there many games so its a lot of fun and so many to choose with different games.

bitcoin temp me to do gambling, i wasn't aware before about doing dice and sports bet it was bitcoin influenced me to try doing bet online so it was a big mistake for me knowing that capability i should earn more rather than losing it from time to time.

Gambling business got me into bitcoin. I use to buy and sell pokerstars play money and wanted to have a non reversible payment option.  I wish i had held onto some of the coins i had when i was taking them for $3 a coin.

Yes, for me too. I first enter into bitcoins and later once in awhile I gamble bitcoins. So first bitcoins and gambling. We all should remember gambling is quite dangerous so don't ever try to gamble to become rich instead just enjoy the entertainment part of it. Good luck to everyone.

for me, it was the second thing. bitcoin got me into gambling. before bitcoin i never even thought i would even gamble with money because i never liked it.
but since bitcoin is making it super easy and fast i have started gambling after knowing bitcoin. and not to mention the fact that it is possible to gamble with a very small amount like 1 satoshi or even with free money like giveaways or faucet payments is awesome.

Nice question.If course bitcoins leads me to gambling.Because of my eagerness to earn and multiply my bitcoins but i hate hyips online i try gambling and i earn at first but lose lately haha.Thats why i get into dice gambling and other casino games.

I have started my gambling journey just to get some bitcoins from a contest and luckily i won nice amount from this contest so that i say this bitcoin get me into gambling, i am still doing this because i fall in love with bitcoin, it is superb and it is fun.

Bitcoin brought me into online gambling.I was placing in sports betting time to time because it was time consuming effort.Since I came to know Bitcoin I started play with full speed.It really made gambling easy,more convenient and interesting.So it was Bitcoin which brought me to into online gambling in my case.

I won free bet from a promo and this one made nice profit for me, that was the reason for me to get start with online gambling and bitcoin get me in there, i think bitcoin has very bright future so if one day i will get succeed to hit the jackpot and will change my life.

My "starting with gambling" experience had nothing to do with BTC the same as my "starting with BTC" had nothing to do with gambling.

This is the question which is realy hard to answer for me personally. First I knew that there is a thing which is called Bitcoin and I earned a very samll amount of it, around 200k sats in 4 months, from different faucets, but the first comparatively big amount, 0.015, came from a gamling site.

In gambling I am long before started using Bitcoin.I was gambling rarely but I was in.Bitcoin just boosted and accelerate the ratio of my gambling bets.It brought me to know those games which I was not familiar before.Bitcoin has its role to bring me into deeper and enhanced my knowledge about gambling.

There is no doubt i am here because of bitcoin and i get started from giveaway promotions but i realized that i can make some profit by gambling and than i start gambling on daily basis so that i can say this bitcoin get me into gambling.

Yeah bitcoin get me into gambling because it is very easy to place bets online with bitcoin supported gambling sites, i like to play with bitcoin and enjoying to stay online on that kind of betting sites because it have a lot of fun.

I came in gambling because of Bitcoins. You can't believe it before it, i really didn't know that how to play gambling,  but when i started in signature campaign and than i earn bitcoins, so my friend told me that play the gambling, it is a easiest way to increase you amount double, so i came here in gambling.

I heard about gambling before a few times but did not joined at there and i joined bitcoin without the source of gambling, but bitcoin also did not redirected me to gambling as beside this there are a lot of other ways of earning are also available.

before bitcoin i was never into gambling at all.
mostly because there are no casinos in our area close by so i never even have the experience of playing at a real casino.
but bitcoin have made this so easy that i can make a bet from anywhere in the world with any amount that i desire.

Bitcoin did let me gamble but I still honestly not do it very often because of the fact that I know you can get addicted and have to set a limit.

I had the same thing I first used the bitcoin and than started to gamble with it and it was just so enjoying.
Sometimes I cannot even stop doing it after a couple hours.

I think both, I think my addiction of gambling initially brought me to bitcoin, but then because I knew bitcoin and I knew that bitcoin was a good way to gamble with as it was anonymous and instant, i started gambling more.

But now I gamble much more responsibly. I only gamble for fun.

In my case, it was my gambling addiction that brought me to bitcoin and because I can easily gamble the more I become addicted. I am still thankful that I have found a way to earn money here in bitcoin world even though sometimes I gamble it all.

I'm not a serious gambler by any means but I can see how many are enticed to bet with BTC as it's much easier and anonymous to do, especially with no account deposits, no credit card info etc.

There's also many people that disregard BTC as real money, they hold it dearly but they don't think of it as real actual expendable money, more like a virtual asset that they can do certain things with but not others.

Neither. They're two sperate things for me. I used to gamble with CSGO items, but I dropped after I lost a $1.5 wager. I got into bitcoin a while ago, just get really into it until now.

I think majority of us here know bitcoins because we are gamblers. As of the moment bitcoins is back by the gambling industry that is why the demand is increasing due to the increase of online gambling sites.

Yes i agree that because of online gambling sites are increased lot so Bitcoin get more value here. Or else Bitcoin is no value. Yes Bitcoin is not legal in many countries so no shops and nothing will use this bitcoin means for what purpose people use this Bitcoin right. So because of online gambling site Bitcoin get value.

Same with me now lol ... Since I joined a signature campaign here, and payment is sent to the site  I did explore to the site and try dice. Dice game is fun and I limit only my time to play as I do not wan to be hook or addicted to gambling :)

Bitcoin has probably introduced me gambling  because before I know bitcoin, I don't gamble at all. Nowadays, I gamble just to have some fun and kill time and not win big like others do.

Definitely the case. I think one of the best options that bitcoin offers you is to have instant deposits and withdrawals, not only on gambling sites but on other trading sites as well.

First before bitcoin I was gambling very rarely with sbobet ,in fact they closed my account a few days because of 1 year of inactivity :) but they had my CC number and my identity too. Soon as I knew about bitcoin and get a few satoshi, I started gambling without worries about my identity or anyone knowing who I was or what I was doing, so Bitcoin brought me into gambling and not the other way around.

We all have our own way on how we discover bitcoins, I think majority of the people who knows bitcoins is just because they are real gamblers in life and when they found a way to gamble conveniently, they then hooked to bitcoins gambling.

It was definitely gambling- namely, poker - that got me into Bitcoin.

It all started with Poker Black Friday - April 15, 2011 when the US government shut down Poker Stars and Full Tilt for US citizens. I had to find a new place to play poker that accepted US players. The few sites that did still accept US players at the time all sucked ass for various reasons ranging from scamming players, allowing cheaters to run rampant on their site, to having shitty graphics/UI/connection issues and the worst of all was the long waits for withdrawals.

Some places you had to wait 5-6 months to get your withdrawal. And on top of that, you could not check the status of your withdrawal at any time during that period. You just had to hope and pray that nothing happened where you had to restart the process all over again and that the check would someday appear in your mailbox half a year later.

One day in late 2011 during my never ending search for a place to play, I came upon Seals With Clubs Poker which accepted US players and had some semblance of traffic. They accepted US players, but they used this thing called Bitcoin. "WTF is bitcoin?" I remember thinking to myself at the time. I learned that I could buy bitcoin with cash, deposit bitcoin to the site, withdraw my winnings in bitcoin virtually instantly then convert it back to cash relatively quickly. And also, they didn't require any ID verification, address verification or bank account information. Back then, the price of bitcoin ranged between $7 - $14 US.

It all sounded legit enough so I joined and thus began my bitcoin adventures. So if it weren't for my govt trying to screw me over, I might have never discovered the wonderful world of bitcoin.  ;D

Bitcoins dit not bring me into the gambling and otherwise because i already had allot of bitcoins and never wanted to gamble with it because coins are not made for that.

According to me, I never played gambling with my money means with my cards or bank details. Both Bitcoin and gambling I learnt at a time. Before gambling I gone through about bitcoin once, i understood what was bitcoin later I was started my betting in gambling. So I think bitcoin get me into this gambling.

Me, it is a different thing with your guys, ever since I am already a gambler and I love to try more type of games because I enjoy it a lot when playing. Until I discover bitcoins which gives me the opportunity to gamble even more and by doing it a home is really convenient, your winning or losing percentage will increase.

If you lose them, you could have just sold them but now you cannot.

Not me, I already love gambling though I have not discovered bitcoins yet. I am using paypal to gamble in online sports book and when I discover bitcoins my gambling hobby made easy and until now I am enjoying gambling with BTC.

Im doing gambling especially in real life gambling type before I knew about bitcoin.

But bitcoin took me more in terms of gambling online since it's fast and less hassle. Also there are lots of bitcoin gambling sites out there so it's like a piece of cake when sending money as deposits and receiving money as withdrawal.

The bitcoin did bring me into the gambling because there where to many people who are posting things like gamble sites witch profide gambling with bitcoins.

You can really enjoy gambling with the help of bitcoins because there are a lot of games in the community to choose from, you don't need to go to the actual casino just to play as even at the comfort of your own home it would be easy for you to play.

No doubt about it but the problem is the more you have to see more games to play the more your chances of losing your money occurs. To enjoy gambling, you should not only focus on it as there are still many ways to increase your money which provide you a legitimate chance to increase it.

For me it was neither, I used to already gamble here and there before bitcoin.  Bitcoin caught my eye back when it was going towards it's highest price and it was on the news quite a lot.

Because of bitcoin my gambling habit was minimize, before I know bitcoin I was an addicted gambling who gambles mos of the time but when I found bitcoin it gives me another view as I found bitcoin as an opportunity that can be use as investment, now I just play a little and invest more.

At me it was gambling which got me into Bitcoin.I was placing smaller bets much time ago than the birth of Bitcoin.Bitcoin made my knowledge much more about gambling and showed me new ways of gambling.Bitcoin made gambling more easy and affordable and I started online gambling with Bitcoin before I was not in online gambling.

I get into bitcoin first and learned that we can also gamble with our bitcoins. From where i started to try out some trusted gambling sites and started to make a habit out of it.

I start knowing about bitcoin befor i start gambling one year ago one month collecting with faucet and then i make it to this forum and know about gambling with bitcoin and all start from there and now i just invest my bitcoin and wait for the profit to come.

Gambling introduced me to bitcoin.  After the UIGEA crackdown in the USA it became harder for US citizens to gamble online.  We had to either leave the country or find alternative methods to interact with the sites financially.  Bitcoin became the hero, to some, in those regards!

Yes...smile...And, more of those sites that were regulated by the UIGEA are now accepting bitcoin so many of us can start re-establish our old accounts!  Bitcoin was made for gambling and gambling was made for bitcoin as far as I'm concerned.

investing is another way that is more profitable and more promising than gambling that require many ways and techniques should always be updated in order to make profit. But investing also has a weakness where the investment disappear/scam/fraud. Gambling also, but the investment is much safer and more promising in the appeal of gambling. So your choice is just right, but if you do I hope you're not gambling experience is addictive and has a goal to earn profits in gambling.

Every gambler has their own choice on doing gambling, some just for fun and most wants instant money. I think that is why we discover bitcoins because most of us are gamblers in real life, irregardless of the amount gambling is fun base on your financial status, but what is important is you know what you are doing and do not let your emotions dictate you, it should be mind over heart.

Bitcoin get's me into gambling , I am not supposed to gamble and I really don't want to try to gamble but when I discovered bitcoin and in desperation to earn I tried to play in some dice games I don't any amount of btc I just claimed it from the faucets and I dont have any idea about dice games I just clicked on the roll dice xD

Bitcoin is not the beginning of the growth of gambling. Since gambling pre-dates bitcoin appears. All that you mention only as a form of support from gambling sites for gamblers who use the bitcoin as a tool to do the bet.

I am not always going to gambling but when I do I am thinking about what would be the result maybe im going to win some btc from my bet or lose it all and the result is always into a lost so i've decided to not frequently go to some dice games or any gambling site . It's been a month since the last i've play with dice game ;D

Good move, your actions is necessary to avoid gambling addiction and since you are not playing for a month already that would prove that you are not addicted in gambling and you are more focus on doing some kind of productive things.

Is Bitcoin already so adapted on gambling sites? I mean especially big sites? I remember I was active on betandwin back then, are those big sites already accepting Bitcoin?

At the first time I have learned about bitcoin before i've get into gambling I didn't gamble with a real money and I am not a gambler but when I got to know bitcoin that was a time that I started to try and play on gambling sites as I am finding a way to earn bitcoin them I found that gambling can be a good option but very risky .

Bitcoin brought me into online gambling.I was not having credit card or other facilities to be able to have access to online gambling before.Bitcoin was only way which solved my problem.Now I am doing gamble only with bitcoin on different sites.It is best way to gamble.I was in sports betting we had some guy which was giving us odds.Now all has changed no more intermediates.

Mine is a different story. It is my friend who is into gambling, who introduced me to bitcoin. He still gambles, while I just hold what I have. I have only tried gambling a few times with my bitcoin and only a very small amount because I am not a real big-time gambler.

Because you tried you max limit of playing there are no guaranteed that you are going to win in the long ran after you win for me if i won that amount of bitcoin i will cashout then never played again maybe in next week or neext month trying my luck again lol. i never push that much

Poker introduced me to bitcoin.  Over the past 10 years or so there has been a lot of complications associated with funding poker accounts from banks within the USA.  I have used several intermediary methods to fund my accounts over the years from phone cards to dwolla as well as several third party processors.  I couple years ago I found bitcoin as a depositing method on one of the skins on my favorite poker room network and I have been a huge fan ever since.  Bitcoin and online poker are the perfect marriage!  Never has withdrawing one's winnings ever been faster for as long as I have been playing poker online....which is almost from the very beginning!

For me, Bitcoin gets me into Gambling. Before entering to online gambling, i was played offline gambling with fiat currency, that time I don't know about this digital currency. When I started to use Bitcoin, I slowly entered this online gambling world. So because of Bitcoin I came to Gambling. 

I am not a gambler and gambling is not in my blood either but bitcoin is the one introduced me to gambling. At first I liked it but as the day goes by it makes me addicted. i think bitcoin has brought a lot of people to gambling online who has never gambled in their lives before for many reasons. i am also one of these people. i have never gambled before in my life let alone do it online because you had to risk money and give credit card,... but with bitcoin everything is easy. you can even start testing the gambling games with the faucet they provide to gamble with even 100 satoshi is possible. so you get hooked up :D

Majority of the people here who are on board are already a gambler in real life and that is the reason why the gambling industry using bitcoin as the means is booming, it happens because we supported it and we lost most of the time which makes the demand of bitcoin increases.

i think many people gambling with their money before they knew about bitcoin, and after they knew bitcoin and there are one or two gambling sites that accepting bitcoin as deposit and withdraw, then people trying to looking what is bitcoin, and after that, they buy bitcoin, make it in trading or anything else, and finally they come into the gambling site and playing gambling on that site. this is happen to me when i don't know bitcoin yet.

Good for you dude, at least you are on the safe side, can't risk your money when you are working hard but still we cannot benefit in the end. Most of us here are not giving more importance on their time spend in working and it is easy for them to gamble their hard earned money and that is not really good.

I gamble from my high school, so that is more then 15 years, into bitcoins I`m only a bit more then a year. With bitcoins I started from beginning, first level faucets, and only after that I met with gambling. Gambling didn't get me into bitcoin, or otherwise, now I like more to gamble with bitcoins then with fiat. I have few good reasons for that, and since I started to gamble with bitcoin, I stopped to gamble with fiat. I have few friends now that are in bitcoins just for gambling, they didn`t wish to learn nothing more, they just know how to gamble and they are trying to make money like that. In my own situation, I had been involved in gambling but had to stay away because of the way its been viewed in the society as a social vice and the calibre of people engaged in such activity. I agree. bitcoin is a lot more convenient for gambling than if you're doing it through fiat. Its also a lot safer for me as you bet anonymously. I think that's what makes bitcoin more suitable for gambling. If you've been gambling for a long time already and then tried gambling with btc, you'll see the difference immediately. I myself started gambling at a young age and when I first tried bitcoin, it's a different experience in itself

Going back on previous years I do know gambling but only on offline world/physical world and I don't have any interest on any online gambling since I do know that the terms of deposits would really require you cards and showing off your identity to the site that's why I don't bother at all but when I know bitcoin and the sites which do accepts it that's the time I engage with gambling but still I don't spend too much money and time with it just playing for enjoyment though.

Yeah,i do know that since I have friends usually play gambling online with the use of their cards and bank accounts and on that time I don't have my bank account that's why it would be hard for me to do such activities or hobbies and I would rather spent my time on my job but now I can do it already with only on small amounts because of bitcoin.Fast and anonymous transactions.

Well I did regret gambling back in college. I lost half of my tuition money thinking I can double or triple it before the end of the semester. Well that didn't turn out too well. So I'll advise anyone else too that gambling will not give you profits but just regrets if you try to earn from it. Just do it the old fashion way and work hard for it.

Indeed, don't gamble for profits as it only will result into a worse case scenario where you will just lose more than what you'll gain. Yeah its fun and there is indeed a chance to double your money quick, but the risks are very high as well you have a chance to really blow everything and lose all your money.

Yeah, I was one of those who got to try gambling using bitcoins because I was underage back then. Wasn't the smartest move, I was really young and stupid. Gambled and lost plenty of money that I don't really have the liberty to lose. I lost money that I can't afford to lose, since it was for my tuition fees.

Now that I think about it, turns out that BITCOIN is indeed the reason that I got into online gambling.

Before I knew Bitcoin, I only play/gamble offline.
Whenever I want to play, I'd go out and visit my favorite places. It was fun. The atmosphere was lively, the drinks were free, and if you come often enough you'd be considered as one of the VIPs(the regulars. there'd always be familiar faces about.  ;D)

I did here about gambling but I knew if I invest I would end up losing so I never cared in investing in gambling. I knew about bitcoin. When I was new I used to use a site called freebitco in that I used to collect till payout and try to multiply 3 times. So that was gambling for me. Then when I earned from gambling I found out that there are other sites with more options. So for me I would say I got into gambling because of bitcoin.

Bitcoin got me into gambling. In the first days of knowing bitcoin, i were really amazed at its price which made me really want to earn some and save some in the future and make some profits by trading. But what happened next is not really a good one. My urge in earning more bitcoin pushed me really fast closing to gamble which i was introduced to and just after an hour my first bitcoins was gone. And here i am still earning bitcoins though i dont want to lose that again through gambling.

For me bitcoin is the reason to get into gambling. The reason is other payment processor like PayPal , payza , etc for obvious reasons never allowed gambling sites. So I never got a chance to get into gambling I was aware of trading but it required skills and minimum investment was around 200$. I don't consider myself as a gambler as I only gamble 2-3 times a year.

True, I used PayPal before and when I knew bitcoin I wasn't ever use it again. Bitcoin can be use in lo5s of transactions and specially the fact that it can be used in gambling makes it more awesome. Bitcoin leads me to online gambling.

Paypal is very expensive and not as fast as bitcoin, truly bitcoin is the new haven for gamblers like us, it has help us a lot to enjoy at any time we want. Are you sure you are playing for fun only?  I bet you are playing for profit too.  If you are playing for fun only, would you give me your winnings if you win in a gambling game?  I bet you will not because you are simply aiming to get a profit from winning in a gambling game and disguising it for fun only to show that whenever you lose, you won't mind at all.  

As said people use different methodologies for the gambling starting from Fiat to tokens that has specific value. But only very few are aware of bitcoin into gambling. In the past I've been using Fiat but once after using bitcoin for gambling never thought of Fiat for gambling needs.

I knew about gambling because of bitcoin , and because of gambling i manage to get bitcoin its vice versa if you can't earn bitcoin from trading & investment or either in gambling you don't have any future on this industry. Trying to understand or educate your self we knew about gambling before but this is new to us that we can use our bitcoin to gambled.

I think you started to gamble in your high school only locally as on any casino or on any gambling site under 18 s not allowed to gamble and so it do not bring any fun. Same for me. I started bitcoin first, I learned about it too late, back in the days when you can barely make any bitcoins from your computer. I made about 0.02 bitcoin with mining from my laptop (oh it feels so long ago :D ) but it was ended so quickly when ASIC miners come out, I used that coins to gamble and win more. I never gambled before in my life until I met with bitcoin, it was so easy, so quick, I was so naive. Of course I lost it all.

Gambling get me into bitcoin. I gamble for more then 15 years, with bitcoins maybe a bit more then a year. I said more then once that bitcoin gambling site's have very good promotions, good support and most important simple registration, I need to add that sending and withdrawing bitcoins is without any restrictions, we can gamble no matter where are we from.
I noticed that many people stop to gamble with other fiat currencies, I'm one of them, since I introduced bitcoin gambling I don't gamble with my own currency or any other.

Since in online gambling (dollars) you need to had some verification with your identity but right now, there's no need for it.

then i think your friend introduced bitcoin from the wrong way but its fine as long as you don't be an addicted person in gambling because it could makes you get in the trouble for losing the money. i think there will be many people that know bitcoin from gambling games and this makes them interested to play so finally they buy bitcoin but its only for playing gambling.
