I made my first bitcoin purchase exactly 900 days ago @ 648$ / BTC.

Man this has been a great ride..  ;D

oh wow, i would have sold that for sure when the price started dumping, though you might make some nice profit right now if the price continues growing

In the last 900 days, we have seen Mt. Gox to Mike Hearn. All the chaos when Bitcoin went down to 170 in Jan 2015. Now, I'm strong enough to HODL it for next 900 days as well. Another dip to 100 wont make any difference to me.

It is not about profit. 1 BTC = 1 BTC.

From the text it seems you buy bitcoins 900 days before at 648$ ? Or you mean to say that you sold today after 900 days at 648$ ?

I am holding for the past 30 days but I'm not feeling good about it as the price has increased by $80 in just 1 day. I hope it remains stable from now on or the least I can expect is that it doesn't drop. There aren't many buyers now who are ready to invest watching the price rise.

900 days isn't a short time, you are really have patience and always optimistic if bitcoin price will be going up. Your patience brings you good result  ;D

I first bought at $648. I kept buying at various prices, my average is way below that, so I can enjoy the ride relaxed..
I've learned so much, I'm almost too calm when the price swings drastically.. I must admit that I can afford to loose everything, would not be very happy about it, but life would go on..
Haven't sold a single bitcoin yet... I''m not planning to sell anytime soon.

Well done dude, your 900 days holding will making profit soon. Because the price of bitcoin increase so high again today. You can holding your bitcoin more until the halving come.

It could also get more people to join, hoping to jump on for a quick profit. You just can't know how much higher it will go.
I sold some 0.1 BTC amounts a few times the past weeks, it keeps going up higher. That's just my luck, when I buy it goes the other way.

i believe that bitcoin price will go significantly up in my opinion thus allowing us to make some big profit after the bitcoin halving event that is incoming and pushing the price up

its nice to see that you decided to hold your bitcoins for that much time, thats really great as you can start making profit out of your investment once again because of price jumps

That's really hard to hold for such a long time. My holding has never crossed 6months time, this time the past three months holding has profited me high and will continue holding till halving.

Wow you are so patient person hold your bitcoin for so long but congratulations you now bitcoin price it's closer like when you first buy it, i hope the price would keep rising so we all here can together get a profit.

Good job, patience always pays off when you are on something that has fundamentals to become huge in the future. All the panic sellers must be hating themselves now while you start making gains from now on.

As the most bitcoin holder expected , the day has come and it's proven that it happen.
At the first glance I knew bitcoin a year ago, I still did not notice that bitcoin will be as great as gold but it being proven wrong when I see bitcoin value today

I am also hodling my bitcoins. I only ever sold 1.6 btc at the top in 2013 (so i got my first 10btc free + some profit :D )..and used 1.5 to buy a 3d printer.

I've held them all the way. I bought more and added to them. Buying and hodling never sodling...

i must say that very rarely to see any people could hold their bitcoin till 900 days and i think you have very extra patience because you was never tempted to sell your bitcoin till today and now bitcoin prices back to $650 and possible too the prices will rise up again and i'm pretty sure you will get more profit from your patience

well yeah, a lot of people dumped their coins as they thought that the price will continue falling all the time

right now we can see  that it is recovering at a very rapid pace and that it might keep on growing

but honestly i think it was a mistake to just hold those coins until now, if i were you i would have sold and bought back at lower price i could have had more bitcoin if i did that.

900 days for you to get break even? oh man you should hold more till you get alteast few profit after this long holding.

It's not really a very sexy statistic, is it? Hopefully the years to come will make you look like a genius. I've been sat on some for longer but the relevance of the price has faded away for me. I want to see where it's heading.

Well I hope you earned more in this period of time. I`m glad for you, now your investment can go up. I wonder what is your next move, will you sell it soon or you plan again one long holding?
In both cases you will earn nice money, in my opinion people with more patience, earn much more then others. What ever your plan is now I wish you good luck!

Its pretty good that you have hold your bitcoins for so long and if you hold them a little longer you are gonna make profit for sure without any doubts.

Well done, OP.  With BTC, it will always reach a new ATH some day, but not many have the fortitude to hang in there that long buying near the ATH of that big boom.

900 days is a long holding term if you ask me, I would hold your bitcoin till the end of this year and than see if you want to hold any longer.
The bitcoin future will unwraps most likely pretty good for this year.

Congratulations on your successful holding! In fact, now that it's 900 days after you bought your first bitcoins, you have made some profits finally :D But don't give up yet, there's plenty more to come.

It is now the best moment to hold it because the price of Bitcoin is now going to rise and that is really nice for people who already have Bitcoin.
But it should be bad if you are going to sell it now because you are greedy because the value of Bitcoin keeps rising now.

But would it be good to buy now? There are people saying the current price increase is just because of the Chinese. There could be a price correction in the coming weeks before the halving starts.

I will not prefer to buy now, I will wait for some more days and will see if price drops or not, as the current price is too high for me to buy some coins.

Alright, I think I'll do the same. The fear of missing out on potential halving profits is settling in. I'm a mess.

I just some part of my holdings.Next I will liquidate at 800 $.I have 10 BTC but it would be great if we see 1k $ /BTC.Everyone has own targets for exists.I was lucky that I bought last year these days at 230$.I will still keep holding at least 1 BTC for longer period of time.This is uptrend and we should be ready for correction in price.

I am also holding some coins but all from last year when price was so low around $210 and now i am feeling so great with current rapidly up trend and i hope $1000 will be possible to hit this time than i will be into more big profit.

Nice that you have been able to hold for so long that means that you are going to be able to make much money. Are you going to sell right now of are you to hold them for even longer.

Yeah its better to hold for next couple of days to enjoy best profits, and if you want to earn best returns from bitcoin then you really need to hold it for a long time.

I've decided that either way i will sell some coins around the halving. Maybe 10% the rest I will hold for at least 1 more year. If there is growth i keep them, else i will make a plan to sell them. From what i've learned in bitcointrading is: "Don't be greedy"

But why only hold them for one mre year when you have chances to hold for 10 years and retire like a big boss.

Yeah and if you have good regular full time job which is taking care of you and your family then you can afford to hold your coins for long term without touching it.

I am impressed because that is almost 3 years, I never been able to hold on to my coins for so long but three year is nothing because there are some people that plan on holding there coins for 10+ years and stuff.

I am going to hold my coins for the future but I do not know for how long I am going to be able to save these coins for. If a good price come by somewhere in the thousands I am just going to sell.

Holding is now the best thing that you can do and maybe the time will be soon that you can sell it because you can see now that the price is rising at the moment and the halving is also coming towards to us so that is really nice.
And it is nice that there are also people that have patience for it because the most people are greedy and make mistakes and that must not happen.

900 days is to long and not even spent just one coin sthat is not what we all want. Because we all need to spent some coins will the price increase i kknow that everybody wants this.

If you've been holding for 900 days, you probably bought too high. But 648 dollar is not that bad actually. Some of us are still waiting for bitcoin to reach 1200 so they are in the green.
Luckily I am not one of them. While I do feel for them offcourse. I just hope the price will go up the following years and we will finally have a decent price of bitcoin.

Because everybody should know about it by now. Bitcoin is the future.

Op`s safe. Anything before the halving is pretty much a increased value after that point.

Which would only mean is how much of a profit difference, which is always a good probem. My guess around 940 days which is after the halving it settles around low $900 marker my guess.

this pump went pretty fast so far, and it can go equally fast down, if the only 'news' is halving.
