So I guess desperate times call for desperate measures on getting anything for scammers at this point. Title: Re: [ATTENTION] Bitmixer.io Fake Clone - https://www.bimixer.io/ Post by: joksim299 on June 14, 2016, 01:22:06 AM They cant fake Letter of Guarantee

So sorry to hear that for you. Next time you better be careful and check the domain first before making such transactions plus always read their letter of guarantee. There is a reason why they have it and like the other guy said above even a clone can't fake it.Title: Re: [ATTENTION] Bitmixer.io Fake Clone - https://www.bimixer.io/ Post by: MiteLit on February 26, 2017, 10:38:29 PM Sorry for bumping this but yeah they should put on an warning...i got scammed 140 euros that i sent there today. Sorry for your loss, it is convincing. even with the https and the Tor link of bitmixer.io, most people do not verify the Letter of Guarantee and even if they did, They made a fake address similar to bitmixer.ioCode: -----START SIGNING BITCOIN ADDRESS----- Title: Re: [ATTENTION] Bitmixer.io Fake Clone - https://www.bimixer.io/ Post by: arcanaaerobics on February 26, 2017, 10:43:28 PM bimixer - sounds like a cocktail drink It reminds me of what Haobtc has done with renaming their product and website now.Bixin: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1800414.0 Never easy to remember but so easy to mistype and get to a fake bogus site to phish your login and password. Title: Re: [ATTENTION] Bitmixer.io Fake Clone - https://www.bimixer.io/ Post by: alani123 on February 26, 2017, 10:48:53 PM There are several authorities to which you can report phishing websites. Most importantly though, report it to Google (https://www.google.com/safebrowsing/report_phish) and Mozilla (https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/about/legal/fraud-report/) so browsers can protect their users.

Well, 'till bitmixer support didn't tell me that it is.. Yes, the only bug is the address they signed with, it's 1Bitmix and not mixer [guess they didn't want to spend allot making a complicated vanity address], and if you aren't very familiar with the site, you wouldn't be able to recognize it. BM.io should really write a note about this, and google/mozilla should show the "red sign" in browser, I reported it but it will help if more (or bitmixer) report as well. |
