http://hopea.fi/wp-content/uploads/2013/03/Näyttökuva-2013-03-11-kohteessa-16.30.30.png

CURRENT PRICE FOR SILVER AMERICAN EAGLE = BTC0.003 HIGHER THAN MAPLE LEAF! PLEASE INDICATE WHICH COINS YOU WANT AND CALCULATE THE PRICE ACCORDINGLY. Limited Number of Eagles Available.

-----VOLUME DISCOUNT-----
MINIMUM ORDER = 100 MAPLE LEAF 1OZ SILVER COINS (for http://btcticker.appspot.com/mtgox/2900usd.png)

IF YOU ORDER MORE THAN 700 SILVER COINS; PLEASE CONTACT US BEFOREHAND. You will get better price but will need to arrange the shipping separately for VAT tax reasons.

Ask for other products via PM.

How Do You Order From Us?

1. First, be sure that Your shipping address is in continental European Union free trade area. We will not ship anywhere else, please don't ask us to do that, we won't.

2. We want to offer you instant lock-in 24/7 for smaller amount of coins, up to 700 coins (700 Troy Ounces of silver that is currently valued at http://btcticker.appspot.com/mtgox/20300usd.png. For greater amounts, you have to PM me and we negotiate the terms of the deal.

3. For instant lock-in, you look at the price in this post and pay it according to instructions as follows.

4. You PM me first your name and address and the total amount of coins, the total price, and your message in satoshi. How? The message is a number from 111 to 999, which you decide, and add to the sum in satoshi. Eg. You want to order 200 coins at the price of BTC0.0210 per coin. You calculate your amount payable as follows: 200 * 0.021 + message*0.00000001. Assuming your message is 337, this evaluates to: 4.2 + 0.00000337 = 4.20000337. This is of paramount importance, as this is the way how I will be able to connect you to the incoming funds.

Of course I will give you your coins even if you do not obey orders: if no-one else files a claim in 7 calendar days, I will believe that beyond reasonable doubt it was you who sent it. You can also prove you are the owner of the address, by re-sending a message that I choose and PM you. And there are other ways to do it. But you save yourself from worry if you do it exactly as told, since these fall-back measures are not 100% trustable, and I will deduct 5 silver coins from your order as office expenses, should we need to use them.

5. Immediately after you have sent the PM, you send the BTC to the following address:
14qLvPSKEma76haeeJNF7vN2D26KYAUuXT (https://blockchain.info/address/14qLvPSKEma76haeeJNF7vN2D26KYAUuXT)

You have 10 minutes from the timestamp of your PM to do this, as you have locked in the price upon sending the PM, and we will honor it no matter what, and we will NOT give you 15 minutes to look to the future and then decide whether you will stick to your commitment or not, because we as a multimillion dollar company will always need to keep ours - this saves Us from slippage and ensures that You will continue to be offered good prices and impeccable speed and reliability of service.

6. Please note: It may take up to 48 hours for me to get back to you, as sometimes I am working and sometimes not. This will not affect the terms of the deal in any way. Your price is locked in, so you have nothing to worry about. You have paid, so I have nothing to worry about. I do have the stock at hand physically in my offices and full-security own bank vault in Tallinn, Estonia. If I need to be away for more than 48 hours, I will notify you in this post and/or temporarily close the offering for the said time.

7. We will ship in 3 working days. This means that if you pay on Monday (GMT+2), your order will be shipped Thursday at the latest. If you pay on Friday, it will be shipped the next Wednesday at the latest. If we cannot keep this promise concerning shipping, we will reimburse you with 1 Silver Maple Leaf 1oz coin PER DAY that the shipping has delayed. (No, we will not reduce your shipment if we can do it in less than 3 days.)

8. All orders are shipped, tracked and insured at no extra cost to You. We PM you the tracking code once we have it. We consider that the order is delivered, once it enters the post office of the final destination. If you do not collect the parcel and it is returned to us, we will try to connect to you and do whatever we can, to send it back to you, at your expense. If we cannot contact you in 14 days since the parcel was returned to us, we will buy it back at the current spot rate of silver and send the BTC back to the address where you paid it from. The more information and contact details you give about yourself, the easier it will be for us to handle the error modes. We will not sell your details to anyone, and the Estonian government actually minds their own business, this is one of the best places in the world to incorporate a business, that is why I am here.

9. Post here for any clarifications that you may require, BEFORE you order. Upon ordering, you submit to these terms.

10. Trustlink:
I have written in the webpage of another silver company that I am Chairman of, the following words:
"The Chairman of the Supervisory Board and founder of the company is Risto Pietilä. He is an entrepreneur with 12 years of experience in growth companies. He started the investment silver industry in Finland in 2006. His nick in Bitcointalk forum is rpietila."
https://www.silverbank.net/index.php/en/meista (https://www.silverbank.net/index.php/en/meista)

This establishes beyond reasonable doubt that I work in this industry as a professional. If this is not enough for you, I advice you to buy from the other fine companies out there with bigger selection of products, higher prices and longer delivery times.

Hi all,

I figured out that it is time for many of us to diversify, and what would be better than Silver?  :)
The company that me and my wife own 100%, now gives out Maple Leaf silver coins in tubes of 25 pieces for a great price. No hassle, we will ship it to you inside Europe, or better still you come to Tallinn and have a beer with us while taking delivery of your investment  ;D

This has been around before Bitcoin, so have a taste of the Old World and enjoy your BTC gains responsibly!

If you lock-in via PM or post to this thread, we will honor the price that was current before your post. When I change the price, there will no more be orders for the previous price. You can also text +358503235950.

sounds like a great offer...

some questions:

  • will you allow escrow?
  • how often are you going to update price?
  • what's the shipping cost to germany?

Hi,

Can you devise an escrow system for me? I have never applied it in PM sales (also when I order, it is always cash first), but I am open to all new ideas. I have had this business from 2006 and total sales in all the companies is abt 10M, also I have AAA credit rating, so the risk is already significantly lower than with new players.

I will update price whenever the BTC/silver exchange rate moves to warrant a new price. I really want that the heroic early adapters of BTC would diversify some into the second most interesting value store - silver. I know this price is really low, and I am only able to sell VAT-free up to a certain limit per destination EU country.

As for shipping cost, how many would you like to have? My friendly staff will find it out tomorrow.

Currently we still can sell directly for BTC. You can still buy 1 round for less than 1BTC, not sure if the price will hold there may be correction coming, and this Exactly is the reason to have silver in the first place. Because it gives you good sleep.

Price guarantee: We only ship in the EU. There is no dealer that sells silver cheaper for BTC than we do anywhere in EU. If you find one, I will publicly apologize, lower my price to match his and give 10BTC towards a charity or BTC-project of your choice. Terms:

- Professional dealer, must have been in the marketplace for more than a year
- Same product and at least 1000 coins publicly for sale at the said price
- Price given in BTC, dealer accepts BTC as the sole payment for metals

Thank you,

I sell at 0,86BTC right now. I agree that that's PRETTY DAMN LOW but then, my pricing is automated.
According to your VAT-free claims, your price should be at least 15% lower.

OP edited. Why do you want me to be 15% lower than anyone else, is it not enough to be cheapest?

OK, I think I need to cancel the offer of BTC10. I am in the favor of the idea, but it is too difficult to practically judge who has the intention to sell cheapest. Also the terms are not so clearly defined. The spirit of the offer was to give BTC10 to charity if there is objectively found somebody who can sell cheaper. Not to the first one who says "me!".

That said, the volatility makes it difficult to manually update prices. Perhaps I should move on to auction some of it away. I would probably net a better price also  ;D

We are selling Maple Leaves at about 0.73 BTC at the moment with automated pricing as well. Shouldn't your prices be lower as well?

Link or didn't happen :)

From a quick browse of your website,
- you are based in US.
- prices are in USD.

So it does not qualify until you post a link that it can be delivered in EU and the applicable VAT is included in the price.

You know, if I order from you, I need to pay 24% VAT at the border. That factored in, your offer is .9052.

I very much admire and respect your business and wish I would have the website as nice as you. But sorry.

sadly, I do have to fight with VAT and the margin the €-suppliers cut in as the middle man.

Man, I am here to help you. Is it not good that you can now buy Maple Leafs for as low as BTC.77025?!?

Bitcoin volatility is killing me however. Before I go to sleep, I need to fix the thing somehow. Perhaps implement an automatic pricing like the other fine businesses in the industry.

We only ship to EU. EU is a common market, it means that there are no customs, taxes or duties when we ship from inside EU to inside EU.

As a rule, the shipments are insured. We will work out the shipment details per customer. The customer pays for shipping (which is not included in the price) and has several options to choose from. It is also possible to take delivery in person. We have offices in downtown Tallinn and our friendly staff can accommodate your request 9-17 on weekdays.

Mine does not upgrade automatically  :'( That is why it still seems you cannot buy from me to sell at your price and make a profit even if, in actuality, you can  :D

Especially by taking part of this auction:

Early bird special gives you BTC2.3 credit towards the winning bid! Others need to bid up to that much more just to match you!

Answered that already :) However I need to attend to other business now for about 72 hours, during which we will also update the Silverbank.net website. We already have bitcoin accounts for the partners of the company. The launch of bitcoin accounts for all our customers will be in April if certain legal and tax matters are cleared. Then this will be another service to offer investing in bitcoin for people in 190 countries. Our speciality is that you can trade physical silver for fully backed bitcoins and back, at .25%-1% fee. Directly, without currency.

Great! I would be interested in such a service provided that everything is fully insured and risk-free. The existing services here are mostly provided in the form of shares, but I'm still hesitant to invest due to risk issues.

We will be able to ship to Portugal VAT-free up to a certain limit, which is anyway more than €10,000 per year, and we have no shipments to Portugal so far this year.

The minimum purchase is 25 coins, but I am sure you meant 2 tubes = 50 coins!

Ah, to be honest I really meant 2 coins, not tubes. I only checked the price at the OP briefly and then went to your site and there it said you didn't ship, hence why I came to ask if it was possible.

Oh, I hate to see you  :'( ...

For the terms of this deal, please refer to the thread alone, not any external websites. Silverbank/Silvervault is a different company with a different business model. "EIH" that is selling these coins, is a traditional silver dealership. It is so traditional it does not even have a website, but despite (or: because) the fact it commands a high volume of sales and is cheaper than the alternatives.

As a gesture of friendship, I will sell to you 2 coins at the price mentioned in OP, plus the actual shipping cost to us, BTC.086. This shipping is registered but uninsured, takes about a week to reach you and I will personally guarantee a reimbursement if despite the registration, the coins are lost in transit. At no extra charge.

How about? Price locked in by sending BTC to: 15dYsxEh5bNnFXE26au5jjTHk8BcrozuZy
AND sending me a PM with details of the deal and transaction details. And it is mainland Portugal, right?  ;D

I will likely buy from you as soon as I like the market conditions and your price is still as competitive as it is now. I hope you'll have "VAT free quota" to germany left at that point.

How big is it? I am greatly afraid that Germany will be the first country to fill its quota. For obvious reasons  :D

Btw. do you like the fixed s/h fee? I know it will be a little different based on country, but this way there is no guessing, the risk is on me, and I can serve also smaller orders as they don't yield a loss.

Maple is going for .744 right now. I used to check bitcoinity.org the first thing in the morning, now I check my own thread for the direction of bitcoin price. Thanks again, John!

Is there any other products you would like to order except this?

I am currently working on an automanual ordering mechanism, which would enable locking-in 24/7. I am a great fan of simplicity, so I am currently thinking along these lines:

- I want to order and rpietila is not online.
- I PM him and tell how many silver coins I want and what is the current price, and where to send the coins
- I pay to his public address
* what is the best way currently in bitcoin, to send a "message" of about 10 bits, which could be used to earmark the transaction? *
- I receive the coins.

One way would be to have the sender sign a message with the private key of the origin address.

How many % can do this? I cannot  :D

I was more like thinking: "take a random number 1-999 and PM it to me before you pay. Add that number of satoshi to your transaction to prove you sent it".

Well, it's quite easy especially if you use Electrum or Armory. There's this sign message tab if I'm not wrong in QT too. Yep, your method above should work too I guess.

Since you've ordered a Casascius 1 BTC Coin (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=154083.msg1633275#msg1633275) from me (thanks) you obviously know I'm going the same route with the shipping being flat-rate.

Of course it's even more complicated in your case since you can't just stuff the coins into a letter. But even I had like 12 different shipping options (differing by destination, weight, insurance) in one of my earlier sales-threads so the approach you take makes a lot of sense, I like it... both as a buyer and as a seller.

I'm glad I don't have quite such a large problem with bitcoin price fluctiations since my supplier (Casascius) charges BTC, not USD, so fluctuation only affects the shipping cost, not the product. It looks like you have a workable solution for that problem now and I congratulate you on that.

4. You PM me first your name and address and the total amount of coins, the total price, and your message in satoshi. How? The message is a number from 111 to 999, which you decide, and add to the sum in satoshi. Eg. You want to order 25 coins at the price of BTC0.724. You calculate your amount payable as follows: 25*0.724 + 0.500 + message*0.00000001. Assuming your message is 337, this evaluates: 18.1 + .5 + .00000337 = 18.60000337. This is of paramount importance, as this is the way how I will be able to connect you to the incoming funds.

This is not such a bad "hack" until we have a working pay-to-contract (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=130456.0) scheme that produces a way for the buyer to prove payment for a specific order while still allowing the merchants wallet to be offline.

Thank you for showing trust to my procedures. I'm trying my best to make it as straightforward as possible, yet retain some redundancy to make it possible to solve error modes.

Yeah, you guessed it right. I intend not to spend from this wallet until I have to. The next goal is BTC1000. The private key has not been shown to the network yet, it is split in half and stored in paper form in two different safes, so the funds should be secured from illegitimate access.

21.3.2013 - Opportunity closed. Thank you all who ordered from us, don't forget to give honest feedback on the shipping process!

Whereas,
We are so Happy to have more trust among the members of this community due to the following developments,
- 2 orders in the first 3 days of operation
- The new "donator"-tag with all the associated privileges
- I have successfully edited my signature to reflect my status,

WE WANT TO GIVE OUT SOME MAPLE LEAFS AT SPOT PRICE, http://btcticker.appspot.com/mtgox/29usd.png, INCLUDING SHIPPING.

We see this as a move to try out the capabilities of our shipping department also, and to see how the new ordering system works. The offer is limited to 50 coins in total, and a maximum of 3 coins per customer. Note that there is a quota of 3 orders only per EU country, which means that you may not qualify to order even though there are coins left in the total quota. I will inform you beforehand of this development, by posting below, the countries that are excluded from the offer due to the cap in orders:

CLOSED

You may take advantage of this offer by following the procedures set out in the Original Post (OP) of this thread, with the only exception of the price being the one set on this post. (If you order for normal price, I will honor your decision.) Please use the satoshi-message as specified.

Also when you order, I would appreciate your greetings here in this thread.

Yes, I can ship to Sweden.

Hello rpietila,

I'm considering getting some silver and gold games going on at taabl.net. We've had a few private coin lotteries but I wanted to try and keep a steady stream of games as part of the site.

Your price is great, of course, but for smaller quantities which, with the uncertainty of bitcoin rates is the only thing I'm brave enough to do, shipping kind of kills it. Is there any cheaper shipping alternative? I don't mind slower and will even go as far as say uninsured (but tracked) is fine for a handful if the shipping price difference justifies it.

You may have shipping for a special BTC0.300 for this time if you follow all the other procedures laid out in the OP. Remember this cost pays for handling also, as I don't make that much profit per coin, they are so cheap!

nelisky,

I could manage to ship a single 1 oz silver coin to most countries for €5.05 including insurance up to €100 and tracking. Of course I can't sell my silver for spot price like rpietila does (I payed 7% VAT and premium on it). Using a USD-Price of $29, a premium of 10%, handling of €5, shipping €5.05 I could currently get a single coin delivered for €34.65. These are just thoughts, of course, but maybe we can work something out? How often and what quantities are you planning to have shipped?

@molecular: well, I'm always torn about this. I want to hold on to my BTC, I want to put my BTC to use, I want metals for myself, I want metals for TAABL.net. I guess I'm a little schizophrenic, but aren't we all? :) Anyway, I was thinking of getting a couple to test the waters, but now I'm thinking of 10 to 25 rounds. How often I would buy again depends deeply on how well the lotteries are received. Do you have those many that you want to part with? I'll reach some sort of decision soon as I wanted to place an order today.
Also, do you have any gold for sale?

I'll reach some sort of decision soon as I wanted to place an order today.
Also, do you have any gold for sale?

I'm actually not in the process of selling my metal. I'm content with what I currently have. I thought the issue might be to ship single (or at least very small quantities) of coins to people as prize for some games on taabl.net. I thought I might be of help somehow (and make a little profit maybe) because I seem to have good shipping options available. I could've maybe stored (or bought) some silver from rpietila for this purpose and provided shipping service.

Why is 0.3 BTC too high a shipping price for 25 rounds? The low price and VAT-exclusivity of rpietila will surely outweigh any shipping cost at such quantity, no?

It isn't too high at all. As I mentioned I was thinking about much smaller quantities when I first asked about it, and your offer would be great for that. I have changed my mind and am just waiting for confirmation that the 0.3 BTC is applicable today and for the specified quantities.

Hmmm, I was going to do it now, but I really don't want my name and address on the forum. Can I PM you the rate so I lock it and make the tx, but give the name and address by email instead?

Nah, it's just that my cellphone battery is dead and I need to charge it before taking the pics :P
And need to rest my brain a bit. Bitcoin going up like this is a bit brain-damaging ;D

One way would be to have the sender sign a message with the private key of the origin address.

How many % can do this? I cannot  :D

I was more like thinking: "take a random number 1-999 and PM it to me before you pay. Add that number of satoshi to your transaction to prove you sent it".

I believe the "correct" way to do this is to generate a new public address for the transaction (though presumably you could reuse old ones). Though if your method is working, why mess with success?

I cannot manually issue such an address if I am not online, and the automatic issuance incurs a one-time investment of my time and/or money and/or risk. I can sell cheaper this way. All transactions are now public and visible which increases trust as people can see exactly how much I have sold via this method, and that I am in no dire need of bitcoins as they are all sitting there :)

By the way my sales are currently BTC1400 annualized, that is more than $100k  ;D

It is called diversification, which ultimately derives its importance from the theory of personal non-constant marginal utility of wealth.

It is generally agreed that the likelihood of silver losing more than 50% of its purchasing power in one year, is very small.
It is generally agreed that the likelihood of cash losing more than 50% of its purchasing power in connection with the above, is even smaller.
It can be postulated that if both of the above happen, the likelihood of anything holding its purchasing power, is small.
Bitcoin can be that anything, and it has done incredibly well, and will continue to do so. However, the likelihood of it losing more than 50% per year is rather large.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Conclusion: For a person that possesses an average, non-constant, marginal utility of money, it makes sense to construct a portfolio of assets, which offers nonzero, positive future value in as many as possible different scenarios. This may consist of bitcoins, silver, cash and other assets, in proportions deemed satisfactory.

This is a perfectly sound theory.  I agree wholeheartedly.  But why would I use BTC to buy it when I can use Fiat?

I have an equally lengthy explanation for that but let's cut it short: I am a moneychanger. You can use fiat or anything if you like, and you only need to pay a premium that equals my cost of selling that fiat or item, and transferring the value to bitcoins. Because at present, fiat is depreciating rapidly, I will probably offer you rather "bad" terms compared to these ones, which are very competitive.

If I have fiat on hand, I'll probably go looking for that. However, I don't know where to get good deals for fiat and rptiela seems to be developing a good reputation. More importantly than that though, I think it is good to keep bitcoins moving and they're not exactly hard to replace (or in a rising maket, preplace).

His method saves one loop in the ordering process and therefore speeds it up considerably. He doesn't need to be online and answering people with an address when they order. I quite like the system and I might actually use it for my casascius sales at some point.

It's not a terrible system but it does mean you're charging different amounts to different people and just looks messy. If you do different addresses, it's "cleaner" but you'd really want to automate it. Then the buyer enters their details, and scans the resulting output QR, cuts & pastes (or enters the key manually if they're masochistic). I've been thinking this might actually be something that could be provided as a service by an external company, the resulting funds being funnelled into the end-seller's single public key and the order information either emailed or provided by an API. Disadvantage is that the external service gets a cut, of course.

The top reason, as molecular suggested, is to enable instant lock-in with the price of customer's choice. Any other ways to enable this, require upfront investment of thought or money from my part, which I don't want.

If this one doesn't look like crap, what does?
http://www.tulving.com/ (http://www.tulving.com/)

Yet it is probably the largest coinshop in the US, with sales in $500 million range per year.

Also the company that is selling the maples in this thread, has cumulative sales of several million and has never had a website.

People care for different things and I want to cater to people who want effortless order process, cheap prices and quick delivery.

I'm not saying, I'm just saying :)

I'm definitely an "if it works" kind-of guy but I also tend to like laying out the pros and cons. I leave the balancing of those pros and cons to individual preference.

The dollar formula is again updated, to accommodate the falling price of silver. Now you get about 4 Uncirculated 1oz Maple Leafs for 1 BTC.

Judging from the OP, I don't ship to the U.S. nor anywhere else except continental European Union, thank you.

I don't have Phils or Libertads in any serious quantity. The products that I carry in bulk are Silver American Eagle, the Maple Leaf and 90% circulated silver coins.

The quota was only for the below-spot special deal. I think frm the top of my head, that I can still send about 300 rounds to Germany at least before the VAT quota takes effect.

Hello all! Due to lowered shipping charges (when quoted in BTC), we are lowering our fixes s/h rate to BTC0.200, which is still about the same as the price of one coin!

We are also running out on all of the following:
- Canada 1oz Maple Leaf silver coins
- Silver American Eagle 1oz coins
- VAT-free shipping quota to selected EU countries.

There is about 700 coins left. When they run out, I expect it will take at most one month to replenish stock. I cannot do it while the price rallies, so you have the chance of ordering now or needing to order from somebody else in the meantime  :o

We still have 100x 5 ounce Vicksburg Silver rounds, they are a real beauty and currently go for less than BTC1 per piece. PM me if interested!

Hi all,

Due to inability to figure out BTC price, call me if you want to buy something: +358503235950. Finland is UTC+3

I have about 1500 oz 999 silver at hand, and "enough" of 90% silver. Also gold coins and bars.

NO AUTOMATIC LOCK-INS now.

$32/oz?

Man. That's expensive. A shame.

It is about $27, EU only, includes all tax, shipping and insurance. Buy and pay with one click, BTC directly. 24/7.

I don't know of a similar service. Yes you may get the product cheaper if you think and pay in fiat, all kind of hassle etc. This is for those who want no hassle.

YMMV, of course.

Risto,

I'm considering purchasing a small amount of silver and possibly some gold with bitcoin. I'd prefer a variety of denominations and to take physical possession myself. Do you deliver to the US? From the silvervault website it looks like you do not, but I want to make sure there hasn't been a change that I may have missed.

No sorry it may be that they (U.S. gov) think some of their regulations would therefore apply to me, and I would hate to disappoint them.

So you are pretty much paying 9450$ for the 1750$ that silver is worth by weight?

Hmm. . that's what it says.. Perhaps it's the reason why I have not had too many customers lately  :D

I have to check the formula.
